Must say, this is one of the best reviews! This is class.. Not like those “Chaliye Shuru kartehain” scripted for ever types.. Surely looking forward to more such reviews from you.. Like ur honesty.. The new gen reviewers are scared to talk about the downsides. They almost skip it completely. I think they’re scared that next time these manufacturers may not give their vehicles for reviews.. lol!

The presenter is absolutely amazing, the points and the delivery did not feel like a TV news reader reading off scripts. Just subscribed for the presenter alone. This cars has been reviewed by others and I know of the specs and performance from before.

You have touched all the in and out of the Thar and thank you Vikranth. But the small nicks and knacks Mahindra missed out, and the ingres and egress troubles does not qualify Thar to be a family car or the only one car in your garage. Well, Vikranth's versatile and crisp review is a cut above and congratulations Carwale!

No one other video had mentioned about the missing arm rest on the left side of the driver seat. I’m happy that finally someone has noticed it.

I test drove THAR a fortnight back @Thrissur, Kerala. Its an awsome vehicle of its segment abroad, since we have little choices in India.
Rugged yet offer comfortable drive with all digital & modern instrumentation and controls including full automation, cruise control, traction control, automatic shift thats more than offered in sedans & suv.
Its rugged body on monster tyres (18 inch alloy wheels) offer unique experience to travellers & driver equally.
THAR's safety features of international standards and it alerts on vehicle stability while off road.
Truly, its a match to Jeep Wrangler and sometimes I thought am I in a Hummer.
THAR is pride to Mahindra & India.

Thank you for addressing relevant issues without sounding vague. I am a fence sitter when it comes to the new Thar 2020 because although its nearly there but not entirely so. For example, I felt that they could have tweaked the convertible soft top to make it safer and easier to stow away. Your observation about steering lag is quite discouraging and I am surprised as to why Mahindra could not give a more direct steering. I am scared to drive cars with unpredictable steering and brakes to begin with. I saw on other reviews that even the braking is not precise and tends to bite after a lag. I don't like to comment because even the popular auto reviews sound either blatantly commercial or are done by those who have no idea what the real auto lovers want to hear. Wish you all the best because you deserve the viewership.
Thank you so much Rahul. And my only suggestion to you will be to go drive the Thar yourself once it is launched. That way you can decide if the slow steering or the sow progression of the brake is actually acceptable or not... to you.

Very professional review. I drive a Terrano because of the mileage and the dicky space as i travel a lot with my family. It is a fact that it is not a offroader but it has never led me down. I am planning for a new car with little offroading ability. I really like the new thar. But i wish it is a little longer with a little more boot space.
I always look for cars reviews done by you ..you are the best at what u do ..we need more reviews done by you!

Great review Vikrant sir. I have one question, is "body roll" during bumpy roads of Thar under control or similar to other SUVs like Creta or Duster?
Hi any idea whether the chemical binders used to bind the hard top and the metal body are covered under warranty for leakages etc. Some of the test rides initially have found tiny specks of water entering inside. I think this can be the biggest issue with the car once the initial euphoria dies out.
Good and detailed review. Everyone has been talking about almost useless boot space but I beg to differ. You can put 2 big size suitcase vertically in those. Unlike other cars there is a vertical space in Thar which can accomodate. A couple of soft bags would fit in additionally. I feel a small family with 2 kids can manage a tour with those.
