- How's it going! I'm back with another reaction video. It's time to learn about the Pokémon XY anime from Lumiose Trainer Zac. The first Pokemon AMV that I reacted to on this channel came from this series which made me interested in watching more videos from Pokemon. So I'm very excited to watch the review on Pokémon XY.

10:09 Serena is the first female companion of Ash to have an actual crush. While there have been girls that had crushes on ash before and there been many people who ship ash with his other female companions, she's the first companion that's canonically has an actual crush on Ash. But because of that, it's caused a lot of friction from the fans, especially those who shipped ash with Misty or Dawn.
And now it’s worse with Goh
Yeah no matter who you ship ash with it’s just nothing but a war zone for everyone. That’s why I don’t do ships in general.
This season got me back into watching new episodes of Pokemon after about 6 years, so it’s got a special place for me. I thought everything about it was amazing!
They were right. this series is what brought me back to playing and watching Pokemon again after a really long time. And with the series ending with Ash going back home to Pallet town gave me chills and made me wanna cry with nostalgia all over from when i was a kid watching Pokemon and Ash starting his journey. And made me so excited for the next season. But then, Sun and Moon came and the disappointment was real. After 1 episode and i was done. Never watched the series again after that. 😅
I feel that. I also refused to watch Sun and Moon. Do consider the Pokemon Journeys Saga though. It was one of the best things to come out of Generation VIII, and crucially it puts Ash back on the track he was on at the end of XYZ, taking it to the true conclusion he was robbed of in the Kalos League and pays service to the entire history of the TV series.

The XY series was the most loved series in the Pokemon fandom. Seriously, there's to much to describe this anime why it comes first to any Pokefans out there. But for me specifically, I love each character (especially Ash), how they influence each other when faced of a daunting task or a difficult moment throughout their whole journey. And I think that is why people relate to this anime... although they still follow a trope from time to time but it doesn't go overboard where the characters are to unhinge or somewhat annoying for the viewers. And I also appreciate that they tackle the subject of failing(failure), like they did not shy away from showing how vulnerable or devastated a character is, especially you saw how happy and hardworking they were to win the competition or battle... just for them lose in the end. It gets very emotional when you see a character filled with hopes and dreams get crushed by reality and to be able to deal with all of those raw emotions. Those little things, it got me hooked to the series, this anime really tugs your heart strings in subtle ways you won't believe it would. I hope what I said was informational... and I love you all.✌🏼❤
I was actually impressed that XY ended up being a good anime show despite the game versions of it being horrible and forgettable.
Unfortunately, the games were rushed and it kinda bothers me that they were. There was so much missed potential that I believe if it wasn’t rushed. Gen 6 would without a doubt be the best generation introduced
@@ShadowStorm1331 it’s not just that it was rushed, the first problem with them was having the worst starters of any generation(except greninja, he might just be the ONLY option if you want a strong starter Pokémon). There were also too many rivals who didn’t stand out from each other very much. Finally, team flare just seemed like a knock off version of team galactic with a much less interesting leader. The only thing that really felt unique about the games was mega evolution(assuming people don’t get bored of it after a couple years), and being the first 3d version(which tbh isn’t that evolutionary since almost all video games reach that turning point). I think most of its problems could’ve probably been fixed if they made a “Pokémon Z” game after the first two kalos games.

XYZ was the true conclusion of Ash's journey, the maturity and fighting ability he had at this point was never matched again.

I’m surprised no one talks about that Ash literally owns Solgaleo, the main legendary Pokémon in Sun & Moon series.
One of this series's biggest flaws, which isn't mentioned in this videos, is the almost complete lack of references and continuity to previous series.
For me yess it's indeed the best Pokemon series
And it's the only Pokemon series that I have watched all the episodes form start to finish

To answer your question about the issue with some Serena fans, just think about it. Serena is an attractive female anime character, you can see where this is going.
X and Y is probably my favorite of the Pokémon anime and probably the one I would chose first if I was to watch any of the series. However, despite this I do think Diamond and Pearl is the best.
DP for me is also just the top. I consider XY and SM to be good sagas, but they are very different from what the anime was. Especially XY, for me it's hard to believe that this Ash who acts and has such different attitudes is the same Ash from DP.
I am in desperation, ending didn't met my expectations 😢

I think xy is my 2nd fav after BW,I dont really Like greninja but he is cool,sarena is cool but showcases are mid,clemont is my least fav but yeah,Bonnie is my fav,she Just is,kalos leauge is good but rushed,team flare is amazing better then in game,Alain is amazing sam with sawyer
Ash was peak this season
It's not, it's actually terrible, the worst pokemon series and the only bad one. In fact, it's the only one that isn't amazing, at least during Ash's run.
