He was beyond ridiculous this year, and with his singular skillset, mindset, and work ethic, he's going to get even better. That's crazy. Who is the preseason favorite to win next year? Rhetorical question.
Pat Patrick Defense. QB is the most important position in the sport. Having a generational talent at that position gives a team numerous opportunities to go after a championship.
I get this sneaking suspicion that he will leave money on the table like Brady did, which eventually will lead the chiefs to be the pats for the next couple decades. He already probably makes more from endorsements than playing football.
I went to Tech the years Mahomes played so I was 100% confident in his ability translating to the NFL from day one. It felt so good to be incredibly right.
Mahomes is one of those quarterbacks that you've gotta love watching. It's gonna be a while for him to be put in the GOAT conversation, but right now he definitely has a case in becoming the most talented QB.
In his First full season as QB - His 11 NFL Records aren't impressive enough to be a First Full Year QB GOAT? First player to throw for over 3,000 yards in his first ten games Most touchdown passes thrown through first three career games Most touchdown passes thrown through first two games of a season Most touchdown passes thrown through first three games of a season Most touchdown passes thrown through first eight career games Most touchdown passes thrown through first ten games of a season Youngest quarterback to throw for six touchdowns in a game Most consecutive 300-plus passing yard games Fastest player to 4,000 passing yards and 40+ touchdown passes Youngest quarterback to throw for 50 touchdowns in a season Youngest quarterback to throw for 5,000 yards in a season (tied)
@@foxaches615 Well the title GOAT is normally used without adjectives. That is how the original post used it. But sure your can narrow it down to first year GOAT or even further first full year GOAT, but that is just a way to classify the most talented player.
Pat Mahomes as a qb right now is of the charts. He can do anything he wants on the football field. He can throw like Troy Aikman, scramble like Roger Staughbach and run like a jack rabbit. He is unstoppable. The only way you can stop Mohomes is to put him in jail. Case close.
He’s still a bad man that put 51 on JJ Watt and those boys, woke up during a bad performance and puts 9ners D on skates. This dude is probably the best QB to ever play, probably even better than Rodgers from my Packers in his prime.
Any QB with immense talent going to Andy Reid is trouble for the rest of the league. He has a proven track record. Imagine Deshaun Watson (who is doing well on Hou) with Reid. Imagine Cam Newton with Andy Reid. Mahommes’ development was definitely a win for the KC front office.
I still say his best game in college was when Tech played L.S.U. in the Texas bowl they lost but his arm kept L.S.U on their heels for most of game . Some incredible throws in the game
But he does have the best like/dislike ratio I have ever seen- generally 100/1 which is insane. And all the comments on his vids are positive and respectful. So he definitely has an awesome, supportive base, if not a large one.

As @Set the Edge has mentioned and which I see missing in the comments section is the influence of Andy Reid on Patrick. Have been following Reid since his time with Eagles. Very laid back in appearance, a compassionate heart and the tenacity which is completely hidden. That Superbowl game with Patriots, so close yet so far - field goal by Vinateri being the difference. Patrick Mahomes -- Example of why letting QB's sit their first year or 2 with a clipboard is a good thing. Get the system down first, then play . Another 2 QB's from Greenbay that sat a while before starting -- Brett Favre -- heard of him??? Aaron Rodgers -- heard of him? Rodger Staubach -- sat 4 years as backup and part time starter for cowboys -- Heard of him?
Damn, I’m surprised you don’t have at least 100k subs! You’re way better than KTO and other nfl tubers imo. Genuinely wish you the best for your channel!
I got the rare chance to see a future HOF QB step onto the field and play for the first time back when he was that true freshman in college, it was against UT, around late in the 3rd or 4th quarter Tech was getting stomped and they had gone through the starter and the backup allowing pat to come up and finish the game. Right then when I saw him scramble around and side arm a ball for the first time I could tell that he was special, and it's pretty cool that I saw him play his first college snap when down the line he's gonna be a legend in the NFL
Patrick has grown each season. Look at him now. Kids only getting better with time. My Chiefs finally made the bowl 50 years later. He also has an amazing offense that can catch his bullets
Week 14 is a long way away. Hopefully both teams will be at full strength and the injury bug doesn't cripple either team. Sadly, injuries are a major part of football. I wonder what would have happened last year if the Chiefs had gone up against the Rams. Would it have been another crazy shootout like the first game where the chiefs lost 54-51?
Ha too funny!! Super Bowl he goes!! Been waiting decades for this! Chiefs fans finally got what they have long deserved, a champion QB and team. There is nobody else like him right now!
Not just dropped, but they found the kid broke his own arm during an accident; as kids do. He will face suspension of up to 4 games for the things he said to Crystal espinal, but he will be there most of the year.
The case being dropped doesn't mean shit to Goodell. Ezekiel Elliott's case got dropped sometime after the cops found the girl sending text messages telling her friends to lie for her and to Elliott saying nobody would believe him because he's a black athlete. Goodell said "Fuck the police" and suspended him 6 games. Charges were never even filed against Kareem Hunt to begin with but he still got slapped with an 8 game suspension . . . twice.

Yup I took him in the 13 round! Everyone laughed when I told them he is the best QB of that 2017 draft, they laughed Again but they don’t laugh no more!
Watching this after our SB win!! Hell yeah Chiefs Kingdom!!!
And happy to say, he did prove you wrong. He did keep that excitement alive. SUPER BOWL, BABY!!
Man.
i LOVE
having Patrick Mahomes
ON MY TEAM
He reminds me of when Russel Wilson joined the Seahawks in 2012 we were hyped
And now look at him: Super Bowl winner and MVP. You're probably thinking it's pretty nice to be proven wrong. He was beyond ridiculous this year, and with his singular skillset, mindset, and work ethic, he's going to get even better. That's crazy. Who is the preseason favorite to win next year? Rhetorical question.
Great pic Andy Reid you could see it before anybody else could great coach and great quarterback
I thank the sporting gods everyday that my Chiefs drafted Mahomes.
Next time, also thank them for giving you no defence.
@@bogmonster100 I hope so. It seems like Pat loves Kansas City, both the city and the fans
I thank the sports gods for drafting lamar Jackson for my ravens
I'm a texas Tech student and seeing him play in person was WILD
I went to Tech the years Mahomes played so I was 100% confident in his ability translating to the NFL from day one. It felt so good to be incredibly right.
You're wrong so far, he's still lighting it up with ease
Mahomes is one of those quarterbacks that you've gotta love watching. It's gonna be a while for him to be put in the GOAT conversation, but right now he definitely has a case in becoming the most talented QB.
In his First full season as QB - His 11 NFL Records aren't impressive enough to be a First Full Year QB GOAT?
First player to throw for over 3,000 yards in his first ten games
Most touchdown passes thrown through first three career games
Most touchdown passes thrown through first two games of a season
Most touchdown passes thrown through first three games of a season
Most touchdown passes thrown through first eight career games
Most touchdown passes thrown through first ten games of a season
Youngest quarterback to throw for six touchdowns in a game
Most consecutive 300-plus passing yard games
Fastest player to 4,000 passing yards and 40+ touchdown passes
Youngest quarterback to throw for 50 touchdowns in a season
Youngest quarterback to throw for 5,000 yards in a season (tied)
@@foxaches615 Well the title GOAT is normally used without adjectives.
That is how the original post used it. But sure your can narrow it down to first year GOAT or even further first full year GOAT, but that is just a way to classify the most talented player.
Pat Mahomes as a qb right now is of the charts. He can do anything he wants on the football field. He can throw like Troy Aikman, scramble like Roger Staughbach and run like a jack rabbit. He is unstoppable. The only way you can stop Mohomes is to put him in jail. Case close.
Who's watching this after Mahomes took the Chiefs to the superbowl?
I'm watching it after he won it.
As a New England Patriots fan watching this kid play is exciting. I see a lot of rings in his future. KC is the team to beat in the AFC.
Mahomes will continue to shock and amaze the fans. He is amazing. Go CHIEFS!
"Mahomes won't have the luxury of shocking the world two years in a row"
...one super bowl win later...
He’s still a bad man that put 51 on JJ Watt and those boys, woke up during a bad performance and puts 9ners D on skates. This dude is probably the best QB to ever play, probably even better than Rodgers from my Packers in his prime.
@@alexjj3802
Tom Brady, Steve Young, Joe Montana, Randall Cunningham, Michael Vick just to name a few
Brian Glaze exactly. Andy doesn’t get enough recognition for what he can do with a QB
@@mikeyp134 sports culture doesn't always honor those it should
Except Deshaun Watson has no arm talent whatsoever
@@manuginobilishair5662 setting your statement about his "arm talent" aside, Deshaun Watson would still have benefited from Andy Reid.
@@BrianGlaze he got arm talent he done drop bombs and their is highlight of it. But hater are gonna hate.
I still say his best game in college was when Tech played L.S.U. in the Texas bowl they lost but his arm kept L.S.U on their heels for most of game . Some incredible throws in the game
Dude is already legend .. I’m having flashbacks of Holmgren and Favre.
He is a winnet, plain and simple. Great attitude rubs off in his playing.
and with one game left in the season Mahomes has proved that there were many measurables that the NFL scouts could not measure.... Tough as nails
I just realized that Tyreek Hill is what everyone thought Tavon Austin was going to become in the NFL.
7:40 I laughed so hard when I realized that all 3 quarterbacks listed all played for the Browns
Hahhha the Browns. Makes sense teams passed on a "jay cutler" or any qb the browns bet on
How do you not have 1 million subs ?
He will ! But a million is lots of fans !
Adrian H. Dragan not that much in the scheme of youtube
@@benmartin7090 Indeed brother. How many regular RUclips viewers do u think there are ?
But he does have the best like/dislike ratio I have ever seen- generally 100/1 which is insane. And all the comments on his vids are positive and respectful. So he definitely has an awesome, supportive base, if not a large one.
@@davidhitzy8580 Hell yeah man, you guys are the best
Who's here after mahomes won the super bowl
i live 30 mins south of where Jmanz grew up - Tyler and 20 mins west of Mahomeboy - Whitehouse. hella wild realizing here in east Tx theres a mvp/sb mvp/sb champion down the road. Congrats to the Chiefs.
Great content as usual. I like how you started out covering some lesser known stories (very well) and now covering bigger names that you're blowing up. Thank you and keep it up Mr Edge
Thank you my friend! I really appreciate the support
Crazy how mahomes is still going off rn
Haha, 5 consecutive AFC championships appearances, three Superbowl appearances, two Superbowls, two Superbowl MVP's, 2 regular season MVP's, 5 probowls and 2x all pros later.
One of the greatest draft picks ever!!
Iowa State fan here. First football game ever was Cyclones v Texas Tech and we were in Ames and I was sitting at the old end zone where Texas tech was at and made sure to stare down the QBs warming up (cuz they were the QBs) lol anyway that dude wearing #5 with that sleeve on (didn’t have names on jerseys) put on a show 😈
Great video, man. What a great story. Mahomes is unbelievable.
Chiefs will be fine rolling with Damien Williams
Rbs do very well in reids system
Projections for Damien Williams?
Raunak Maheshwari 950 rush yards 7 tds, 300 receiving yards 3 tds
@@KlvnDxxminique I think he will have 1150 rushing yards 10 tds 450 receiving yards 3 tds
Raunak Maheshwari it’s possible he’ll get 1100+ rushing but there’s also a possibility that he might be sharing the ball with 2 other RBs
He seems to have done pretty well in 2019 :) - it's going to be an exciting Super Bowl!
Did the Raiders view the tapes of Mahomes 2018 season, because I just watched #15 hang up 28 points up in 12 minutes last Sunday...
Someone to doggedly pursue the coveted prize and securing it after twenty odd years of coaching deserves accolades and respect!
Ole Andy's has his ring now. Not a Chief's fan, but was pulling for them big time last playoffs. Much deserved..
I look forward to your videos every Friday. Great way to end a stressful week!
Great editing, great voice, great content, great outro. Subscribed!
outro!
Mahomes wont shock people two years in a row.... He just activated god mode and won the super bowl after torching defenses all year long. What was that you were saying? lol
hes still shocking the world. no team figured him out yet
Patriots figured him out last year en route to another superbowl win..... yall must of forgot already 😂😂😂
@@kingofhaiti123 buddy they had him figured out for 1 quarter and I don't know if u remember, that game went to OT.

I think Mahomes watched this video before the start of the season and was like, “you know what. Hold ma beer. This season is gunna be just as exciting.”
Watching this video after Mahomes carried chiefs on his back in the last quarter to super bowl victory and becoming the super bowl MVP!!!
Johnny Manziel and Ryan Leaf also started with clipboards LOL
All the legends of the pigskin!
Meanwhile I’m over here being a happy chiefs fan 😂
Damn, I’m surprised you don’t have at least 100k subs! You’re way better than KTO and other nfl tubers imo. Genuinely wish you the best for your channel!
3 weeks in, the world still waits for the Mahomes regression we heard so much about pre season
Like I said on the last video. Put my game on pause and made some food to watch your video, great production and great video as always mate
Thanks man, I appreciate it!
Am I the only one that gets excited to watch these videos?
“Probably not going to be anywhere as exciting or magical” Obviously didn’t know we were going to be SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONS
I think he just went to the perfect system for him... hats off to Andy Reid one of the elite coaches left in the league
Andy's got that ring now!!
As a Kansas City native I’m so proud lol
Crazy "first season" for him and even more crazy that his stats so far this 2019 season are looking better than LAST YEAR!
Patrick has grown each season. Look at him now. Kids only getting better with time. My Chiefs finally made the bowl 50 years later. He also has an amazing offense that can catch his bullets
And look where the chiefs are now: In the Superbowl❤️!!!!
I look forward to the chiefs vs patriots this year
Week 14 is a long way away. Hopefully both teams will be at full strength and the injury bug doesn't cripple either team. Sadly, injuries are a major part of football.
I wonder what would have happened last year if the Chiefs had gone up against the Rams. Would it have been another crazy shootout like the first game where the chiefs lost 54-51?
...aaand now he's SB MVP. So many people slept on this guy
Ha too funny!! Super Bowl he goes!! Been waiting decades for this! Chiefs fans finally got what they have long deserved, a champion QB and team. There is nobody else like him right now!
@settheedge after watching your video over and seeing Patrick in the first two weeks so far, it’s safe to say he’s doing just fine
Skeptics 2018 = mahomes isn't good enough
Mahomes 2020 = hold my superbowl.
And have a new playoff too.
SB #2 in the making
Just so you know, tyreek hills case was dropped and the nfl said they wouldn’t do anything until actually charges were pressed sooooooo 🤷♀️
Charges were never even filed against Kareem Hunt to begin with but he still got slapped with an 8 game suspension . . . twice.
@@bolbyballinger kareem hunt had video proof of what we did.
@@jamesyhsiao And the police had it well before the NFL did.
Why are we so intent on not trusting them?
