Thanks, Paul, I love the look of the new rod and the bead above the swivel is a great tip, I don't know why I didn't think of it.

Glad you liked it. I have damaged a few tip guides in the past so I needed to come up with a solution.

agree on protecting the guides, I had a damaged guide years ago and because they're ceramic it's like cut glass. no idea how it got damaged, it was the first runner on a baitcaster. lost a good fish until I realised what happened so now am very careful.

I know the feeling. I lost two really good fish on consecutive trips before I finally woke up to the fact that I had a damaged tip guide.
