Love these casual explorations, because it's fun to just poke around in a place and just see what you might not otherwise find. Thanks for letting us tag along!
Oh yeah, the Conrads are all over the world and all pretty expensive. Part of the Hilton brand. I appreciate that you are finding the best possible way to keep the adventure going Paddy despite the travel restrictions currently in effect in Thailand. I am enjoying getting to know the island in a bit more detail and look forward to getting a coffee at that shop!
I stayed at Crystal Bay for 6 weeks in April and May and was sold on the island!!! For a smaller island there is a lot to see and do. We just arrived long term on Friday. As usual, thanks for sharing!!!
I just **LOVE** the drone shots with the voice-over! makes the video so dynamic and interesting!! watching Paddy is like watching your favourite TV show!
In 100 meters turn left, then right. Ah' the memories of exploring Thailand's rural laneways! Setting a great example by giving treats to the local hounds. It's a wonderful thing to give something back, 4 legs or 2.
Fun vlog! When you go back to the #1 less visited place in Thailand, Khanom, make sure to drop in to chat with Nadine at Bamboo Resort, lovely lady (and a Serpent slayer;)
Hi Sidetrip I am subscribed to you as well as Paddy and Chris. I really enjoyed your trip to Khanom it was a secret paradise. I also enjoyed your meeting with the french lady who helped catch The Serpent. Keep safe and keep vlogging!
I agree with Goodenough....it's so soothing to see the slower pace of life there.....so don't sweat about things you can't control Paddy. I do want to know though if you are doing ok. I'm keep thinking that you look like your a little down in the dumps or something or perhaps your just lonely. You have friends but a person can still be lonely and have people all around them. If you are son, HANG IN THERE, because every new day brings us all the ablities we need to unwrap untold opportunities. That's why it's called "THE PRESENT", we get to unwrap it 1 hour at a time. You are doing a great job! You are sharing with us fun and amazing experiences and the majority of us are LOVING our outings with you. Your funny, your engaging and we, or least I am, learning about a beautiful country from the comfort of my home in Northeast George USA. THANK YOU Paddy!
At time 19:58 when you throw your front kick you're sitting on your standing heel. Rise up on the ball of your foot when you kick. Doing this you'll find that you have better accuracy and more power. That will also help your roundhouse kick. When throwing a kick your heel is like a break. It stops your motion. When you rise up on the ball of your foot. It releases the break of your heel. Nobody has probably communicated this with you yet because of the language barrier. But you're really looking like you're getting good training. Good luck, be strong.
No matter what you do, someone will complain they don't like it. I think if you lived your life based on those people, you would be as miserable as they are. You have dealt with an unexpected (but sadly not entirely unpredictable) obstacle, and are making the most of it for yourself and your viewers. Keep it real, keep adapting, and do what brings you joy.
Love your solo 'chillout' discover videos like this. Appreciate that you are 'stuck' in Koh Samui and finding ways to keep your channel interesting. Keep up the good work, Paddy! ❤️
Fantastic Vlog as usual. Love a 5 star hack! I think most people understand you’re limited with travel at the moment. I’m thrilled you’re on Samui as I’ve only spent 2 nights there!
Nice, you are actually lucky to be stuck there, in other parts of thailand its not as much fun. Following you channel but hardly get to comment or give a like to every video as i am looking on my tv and thats more like watching one video after another without taking the time to comment or giving a thumbs up. Might have to take the time one day and go over all your videos just to give them the thumbs up. Keep up the good work paddy thanks for good content and if you ever get to the pattaya/jomtien area give us a shout
Loving the content Paddy! Don’t worry about the bozos complaining “this is not what I subscribed for”. We subscribed for Thailand and your entertainment. Especially your Samui content! Not being able to properly travel… Mai Pen Rai
Yes PADDY a beautiful spot KOH SUMUII and where I first fell in LOVE with Thailand in 2006 at the end of a year long world trip. Six years later I moved back to Thailand PERMANENTLY based in PHUKET for many years, which I preferred as it combined Island living with the great nightlife of Bangla Road and the many other quieter locations. Thanks for inspiring me Paddy to dig out my "Koh Sumuii LAND of SMILES Phogger becoming Vlogger" photos ... Great to see Paddy your fame has spread to the owner of the big resort. That was nice to hear. Next step an English soap ... Or maybe Australian Neighbours (-:
It's 10pm where I am at. Burst out laughing watching yr muaythai instructor sparring with you, with all his funny grunts and wailing. 😂 Stay where you are Paddy n keep exploring KohSamui n nearby areas - be safe. Yr lockdown Samui mini series are enjoyable to watch as I've not been there. For someone in lockdown where I am at, I look forward to yr every video!😅
Loving your videos Paddy and you did the best thing by going to Samui during lockdown. I loved KS when I was there in 2019 so your videos bring back happy memories for me. As for the negative comments on here, they are not even worth your time worrying about!!
I now live with my Thai wife in a Nakhon Sawan village that is a Thai one far from the city but still have a house on Koh Samui that is very beautiful and a farang village that was built up around mine, the third house built there but now there are many. I started living there by myself in 1999 but had a Thai girlfriend. 13 years I lived there before my wife dragged me to Nakhon Sawan. On Koh Samui, I went everywhere on my Honda motorbike every day.
I do admit I was worried the channel would turn into a travel vlog featuring adventures only the privileged can access. What I loved about the Budgeteers and your road adventures was that I could 100% relate. When you fell, you fell forward and all the fails were ultimately a success. Watching a personalty like yours, it's more fun to see how you think in the moment and how you handle certain obstacles. I appreciate your emotional endurance. I forgot you had travel restrictions and where I am (Ontario), we handled things poorly. With your freedom to travel I couldn't understand why you would stop to chill in a condo for a month, but I totally get it now.
"I hope you enjoy these chilled out days where we just drive around together." Literally the reason this is the only travel-themed RUclips channel I've subscribed to. Everybody else feels like an Instagram post to me - trying to sell a perfect view of a place with a million filters applied. I watched your first video on Koh Samui and booked a house on Airbnb that day (we planned a trip to Thailand but didn't have details mapped out yet - your video on Samui sold me instantly).
I stayed at the InterContinental next to Conrad for a week, it was wondereful !!! there's a temple with a mummified monk, the Wat is quite run down but it add to the atomsphere. Stay Safe !!!
I stayed at Conrad Samui before, a bit disappointed you didn't show the ocean views or the rooms. Usually in Thailand if you mention you are doing this for a vlog they will eagerly let you do all parts of the hotel tour!
I used to meander through the back roads of Samui often on a hired scooter! There are some beautiful private homes hidden down south - as well as the resorts - but it's the private homes tucked away in the coconut groves that are so beautiful! A peaceful paradise!
Don't worry about it mate! Personally, I'm loving the chilled out content. Half the fun of watching you and the Budgeteers is the escapism of just following you around on random adventures and getting that fix of vicarious traveling - and anyone who's been backpacking knows that chilled out, random exploring days are often the best part and give the most memories - and authentic travel content should reflect that! Keep it up mate.
Oh God bless you for feeding the poor doggie they probably haven't eaten for very long times I myself an animals lovers It breaks my heart to see animals starving God bless you for going out of your way to get the dogs treated for them. Excellent videos I love and enjoy it
Really awesome video showing such great scenery and koodos yo you for feeding the dogs shows that you not only care about the locals but also the fur balls!😎
I love the videos like these where you go of the beaten road and find interesting views and places. Been to Samui 11 times and know most of the island, but still a lot to be seen.
OMG revisited this session because thinking Koh Samui would be a great Canadian escape forgot how much h beauty there is on this island thank you Paddy
🌺🙏🌺 Thanks Paddy, loved this vlog. Adventure exploring the Conrad Coffee shop and resort absolutely gorgeous and the dogs,,and the lady selling boat trips. Best content on youtube. We love Ko Samui and your vlogs bring back the vibes. Crystal Bay cams are so amazing, we stayed there when it was the Ko Samui Yacht Club,,,,now Crystal Bay Yacht Club. Thanks again, keep em coming sunshine.
Hiya Paddy, great intro. Always love watching your adventures. Good vibes. Chilled tunes. Amazing drone footage. Always a beautiful tour around these lovely places. The views from the cafe were just spectacular. What a lovely place. You take us along to the best places. Pure paradise. Your lovely feeding the dogs. Nice workout. Thank you for sharing your day. Always enjoyable content. Have a great week. Safe travels.
Paddy, your content is spot on. Just driving around the country side/island is awesome. Love the mellow slow pace of seeing the country side and the dogs. You are such a true humanitarian.
These are still really great videos. I enjoy just a day of you bumming around in your regular day to day. Keep up the good work and keep making great videos to help me escape reality! Haha
We love your exploration videos. I was worried about Dreamy's brakes overheating on that hill; thank god you stopped for a break. Samui looks absolutely amazing - we will be checking it out for sure in the next year or two once things open up again
Great video. After watching, I was thinking whoever owns the Conrad, resort, must have spent a lot of money making that concrete road connecting things. It looked like the most expensive road you have ever been on. I loved the drone shots, incredible views...
Love your enthusiasm and vids Buddy and now you are in my home town I thought I'd eventually get round to commenting. Happy to say I live in this area of Samui sometimes referred to as The Real Samui or The Virgin Coast. I love cruising around this area with my cam and capturing video of this beautiful area too. Ride On Dreamy Dream Rider !
I really like how excited you get when you are out exploring and find one of your hidden gems. Got my Dreamy T-Shirt in the mail today. Thanks Paddy I love it.
Take care buddy, enjoy the island with your friends do some next level adventures there and stay possitive buddy, you bring a bit of holiday to our TV screen buddy 🙏
I totally get your beef with Google Map. Once I was trying to head back bangkok from a Khao Yai resort and Google Map led me to drive right into someones corn field.
Very good video.. Places with a wonderful view.. Paddy when powers will see the sunset to an intercontinental hotel there in Samui.. You're going to like it. Continues to show these places of Samui💖I miss Samui so much. 💖
Such an amazing beautiful place there Paddy :) that big hill did look a bit scary for Dreamy !! toot toot ! as always , another awesome video Paddy, great to watch and fun fun. It's actually great seeing all the videos from Koh Samui, definitely gives a deeper look in what there's on offer there and what can be explored. Sometimes there's never enough time for you to really show what's in each province, so this feels like a big bonus set of videos. Well done mate, keep up the amazing adventure...Enjoy !! :)
Paddy, your Muay Thai is looking.... well... it's looking... Good intensity in your training tho! Looking forward to sparing when you make it to Bangkok in 2023 when interprovincial travel opens back up.
You may be stuck on the island but it could be so much worse. I'm stuck at home. I should be in Kirgizstan, now, half way through a 7 month solo motorcycle adventure from Bangladesh to Mongolia. Changed the start date for next March, fingers crossed
I thought it was the perfect place to live too, but after a few months it begins to feel too small and remote. Phuket is more liveable as it's twice as big and has far more infrastructure and things to do - it's the best of both worlds, like having Chiang Mai on a beautiful island.
I was the same, Samui is such a beautiful place to visit, but after living near Lamai for two years it simply became too claustrophobic and I began climbing the walls - we simply had to move on. I still adore Bangkok but actually prefer Chiang Mai as a groovy place to live long-term in Thai as a western expat...(big shout to the Small House Cafe/Bar crew). But we still go back to Samui every now and then, Philippine Islands aside, it's about as close to the idea of the cliched paradise island that you can find on this earth. However, Khao Yoi/Wang Nam Khiao (World Heritage Site) is where we have recently bought land (it's still relatively affordable at THB100k/Rai for Nur Sur 4 title) but is now rising due to the new trainline) to finally settle, it's the last truly breathtaking and relatively unknown destination region in Thailand, just 2 hours drive from Bangkok with an utterly sublime landscape and temperate climate.
You're making lemonade every day brother, I can't believe your getting grief for not traveling. Plenty to see and do on Samui, Ko Pha-ngan, Ko Tao, and Koh Nang Yuan. Community spread is spiking and is going to keep you there for a while but you're making the best of it a new drone new camera, new computer, and world class scenery ........ looking forward to it.
Great video as always mate .. Love how you got all that good for the dogs 🙏🏻. Alsof nice to catch a glimpse of Chrystal bay.. was there right before covid and fell in love with that place 👌🏻
I really enjoyed this one Paddy..i never knew that there is still such nice places on Samui..and i look forward to the Koh Tao one for sure, also your muey Thai ( if thats how you spell it) looks pretty solid.
Hi. I am planning a koh samui trip with my mum, my wife 2yr old and 4 month baby. My brother is coming from Melbourne is meeting us with his 9 month old. Cause if covid our kids have never met. I want to say THANK YOU PADDY DOYLE (great Irish name). I watched all your samui vids and we have booked from Dublin. The videos are phenomenal as the work load to do them must be immense and tiring. Any way thank you again. P.s when your off cam speaking you sound and laugh just like Ricky Gervais
Hey Paddy ! I am retiring in Thailand hopefully next year, I just turn 50 and retired from the Canadian military, I've been married with my Thai wife Kannika for over 25 years. We saw your video when you went thru Hua Hin and we decided to settle there ! Hopefully we can meet one day !!LOL
Love ya, Paddy! If you have to be restricted you chose the perfect area! Film whatever you come upon in your explorations of that area..... I'm good with it!
Thank you so much for feeding the dogs 💕 melted my heart.
Any time!
You can travel the world, and make great videos but feeding a Dog brings in the viewers.
The doggies part is so SWEET. 💕💖💫🌟❤️🥰♥️
Big respect Paddy for feeding the dogs 🐕👏😃
Props for feeding the pups! Anybody that goes to that length to feed pups in need is okay with me, Paddy!! 🐶🐶
Great to see rural Koh Samui and the beautiful coastline. From a dog person thank you for feeding the local dogs😊
Yes I love that he did that!

That dog segment was surprisingly calming! Koh Samui looks awesome. Would be good to see different houses for rent / sale!
Can’t wait to see more of Samui. Looks absolutely amazing. You’re Muay Thai training is looking good.

Loving those Samui videos, keep 'em coming Paddy! We'll happily bear with you, cheers!
These videos are still very solid. Enjoying seeing your day to day in a beautiful island understanding you can't travel. Keep it up!
Hi paddy you have a very kind heart feeding these lovely dogs !!! your a good man god bless yu x
Ji Mr.Paddy. I m very pleased to hear & watch yr videos about different places in Thailand, which r highly informative.

Hey Paddy I'm loving the Koh Samui series. What an island! If you ever get stuck for content luxury villa tours are always cool. Stay safe.

Great fun seeing you and Dreamy back on an adventure off-roading. Looking forward to seeing more of the islands. Cath and Kevs x
I used to meander through the back roads of Samui often on a hired scooter! There are some beautiful private homes hidden down south - as well as the resorts - but it's the private homes tucked away in the coconut groves that are so beautiful! A peaceful paradise!
Oh wow!
oh hi Peter, you’ve been to everywhere
@@ajtom4987 Not quite. My 'wish to go to' list is still bigger than my 'been to' list! Samui is one of my favorites though!

Great video. After watching, I was thinking whoever owns the Conrad, resort, must have spent a lot of money making that concrete road connecting things. It looked like the most expensive road you have ever been on. I loved the drone shots, incredible views...

Awesome loved riding along with you and dreamy. 👌
if your staying on samui you HAVE to try the jungle club amazing place and scenery take your drone

The title of video 'exploring fancy part of samui'
The real content : paddy feed stray dogs lol and I love it.
This is very insightful I'm leaving for Thailand the end of the month.
