Instead of using 2 lenses to exclude arena and dungeons, it should be 1 lens to only have monoliths instead. I also want the prophecies to tell me where i can find the mobs like in which timeline.
It's random though. Like each time you load into an echo, you get random mobs, so there's no way to tell you exactly where to go. Even on the same echo, if you die then go back in, you get a new set of mobs, could be the same could be something completely different.
Your point about the carrot is why I play CoF and why I was so drawn into LE at launch. Having all the Uber stuff is cool, but the real joy is the chase.
Great idea - it's really unfortunate that boss unique drops are basically unaffected by COF (besides better chance for LP). Would like to see them add boss drop prophecies or as you suggested, replacing the almost worthless rank 9 reward.
The cool thing about boss uniques being unaffected by pretty much everything is that you don't have to worry about them being tagged a specific guild. If you never plan on switching, then it's irrelevant, but if you want to switch between guilds, you end up not having to switch much gear to do it.
@@dylanstanfill2897Well if you buy one from MG then it will be tagged with MG. So you can't use it and go back to CoF. So basically, right now, if you have a character/build that is predominantly using boss drops, MG is the way to go.
@@vezrien yeah I'm aware of that, forgot to specify if you have it drop for you. My build is mostly boss uniques but I started CoF and since prophecies don't affect boss drops, I was able to switch to merchant's guild without having to really take off anything important to my build. Just a relic, one idol and a ring, which I had replacements for in my stash that weren't tagged. So I was able to keep farming everything I was already farming with high corruption and all that and I've made a bunch of gold selling off stuff I don't want since switching.
When it comes to set pieces for rank 9, I don't think they should remove it, but they should do a rework of set pieces to make them viable even if it's just for alt leveling
I spent around 50000 favor today to get 100 glyphs of despair, if I finish the prophecies completely it'll probably be around 200 so more than I could ever use. Infinite crafting items is a powerful bonus of chosing circle of fortune.
ive been loving CoF for the most part, but my main gripe is the UI of already *aquired* prophecies. let me see at a glance which content is currently completing the most prophecies for me. eg 10 + 3 + 1 + 2 icons (monos, dungeons, arena, campaign bosses) and upon hovering over them it highlights the prophecies that can be fulfilled by doing that content. if you wanna be efficient you have to make your own spreadsheet, counting up which prophecies you are picking and crossing out the ones you are completing etc, which is just very tedious.
I completely agree about the bosses. They should add something like bosses can drop loot from the bosses of adjacent timelines as a chance bonus drop. That way you can still go ahead and farm other blessings if the current one is basically perfect because you've killed the boss so many times. Not speaking from experience or anything...
4:45 yeah. When I first started checking out the lens/prophicies I thought the "Greater" lenses applies to ALL the telescopes (While being in one) and the regional lens applies to just the telescopes they were in. Didn't turn out that way. IDK just feels bad you need 2 for blocking actually 3 if you don't want to mess with campaign ones. I also feel like the final lens should come on sooner. Like lens at 2, 5 and 8. It's wild to be 100 and not at 10 to me. I'm 93 and not at 9 yet. If these are character specific, what's the point of not making 10 reachable by like 95 or something
2 qol and 2 juice lenses would be nice. I don't spend that long there I don't mind that side. more juice lens would also help with the cost / reward in your case.
I just put on the extra lenses and buy a bunch of whatever im farming. I spend like 2 min at the observatory when i got like 100k and do not even try and complete them. Just get them by accident.
Some of my best drops aren't even faction tied. I started cof and got to rank 8 and i like it and all, but i also really like mg now that I'm doing it just because i now have something i can do with those items that are good but I'm not interested in doing a build with. I've gained so much gold since joining mg. So there's benefits for both for sure.
COF is where its at for me. 3 greater lenses and i run mono's. Still trying to get gear as always tho! Some things do need attention but its still new. Maybe a year from now it will be different
Thanks for the video ! And thanks for your insight, always clear and strait forward ! What i dislike in the CoF is the fact that i loot early level item bound to CoF Ranks (i.e. lvl 23 Rank 3). Because my reroll cant be able to "subscribe" to CoF until the end of the campaign, what is the point of this type of item ? Did I miss something ?
i think its a little unfair, uniques you can "targetfarm" with this rune that upps a base time to a unique and also you can chose rewards in monos that give that base of unique AND it can be a random drop so thats 3 different things u can do if u trying to get it, if you need a bossdrop on the otherhand u need to do a full timeline just for a small chance. like for the build i wanna play i need 3 different bossdrops (didnt even drop one jet btw) and you kinda want stuff with LP soo i think its a little flawed. like dropping that with 2-3lp+ AND than hitting the slams would take months, way more than than a full season probaby lasts.
I have a question about switching factions. What if i farm tons of arena key sell it for gold and then switch to Merchants? Do all the gold transfer and can be used or no.
That’s what I do. I have Rank 10 on both factions one character farms keys on COF the other uses the gold to buy upgrades push high corruption and sell the items
The problem with these games is that they are designed so that you need to research what items you need before you even get to the end. So where is the surprise element, what is the challenge of looking up items (in a 3rd party site) and then chasing them down? A player (casual or not) should be able to play what they enjoy and then as the game becomes more difficult the chance to get good items increases without having to know what that item is. I know I am not wording it properly, but what I mean is that all you are doing is looking at a database and planning your items before you even play the game, then you are just chasing the items down. Zero element of surprise and you end up with some shit game that is nothing more than a bunch of people playing meta because the game already revealed all potential drops. Silly...
just let people play as they want. If you have fun playing the way you described more power to you! but dont be that guy thats tells people how to enjoy the game properly.
Fair, but say you get a 3-4 LP rare ass item that has nothing to do with your build? You would be surprised and most likely try and build something around that, no?
@@Pexth Yeah that would be better, but the problem is you'd have to know the item before making the build. There should be viable items for most builds, not just a meta build. That's the issue with all the ARGS, and PoE is the only one that does not have the issue, but respeccing in that game is a problem.
Merchant's guild sounds AWFUL. It's like enabling God mode...okay cool so you're done. You just "bought" everything for free and you have no goals or progression left
How can you say certain things were not CoF based drops when it clearly says on the item that it was in fact a CoF item? If the item has dropped with some kind of CoF bonus/mechanic it gets a rank requirement in the bottom right corner. You would not have dropped that item at that time without CoF.
@@McFluffinGaming Don't know about that, but the things that do get a rank is indeed dropped from CoF. Was referring to the helmet which you said was not a CoF drop.
The biggest drawback I've found with CoF is you're just playing the RNG slot machine all day (woth some agency).. I personally prefer to feel like I'm always working towards something.. and that just isn't the case with CoF. Yeah I've found some great 2-3LP items.. that are meant for builds that I have absolutely zero interest in playing.
They need to fix trading in this game. It's one of the worst trade systems other than D4. Having to level the faction and earn a special currency gate keeps items too much. CoF you can get better drops and target farm items you want

Agreed with the rank 9 full set. Just make that a prophecy you can buy and replace the rank reward with doubles chance of boss unique to drop
good idea

Rank 9..less forging potential used or a chance to idk something with crafting the gear

ditch sets reward and make it double boss drops with higher LP chance
