- We spend some quality time with the razor trying to see what we need to do to get it going. So far it looks like I’ll need at least a new controller, and a new set of batteries. They did appear to charge up to 14.4V, but within a few minutes were down to around 12V. I’ll start shopping around for parts....
Mine will charge (lights all come on) but the engine won’t come on. Help!
Do you have to charge for 12 hours in a row? I bought one used yesterday and charged if for 9 hours, but I was weary of leaving it on charge overnight. Do I need to charge for another 12 hours or just another 3 or so?
Depends how much charge you want to get it to and what level of charging you are using.
The batteries are wires in series. Positive of 1 to negative of the 2nd. Then using the remaining +/- of each to the plug. That's how it's making 24v with 2-12v batteries
I figured out the problem with mine. The factory plug red and black wire pins were installed backwards. Yeah, from the factory. That’s why it would never turn red to charge. Switched the red and black wire on the plugs and it worked
How did you fix the problem? I replaced the batteries and still my bike will not charge.

So what happened? What was the result? It seems all the issues you were having the same issues we are having but you just left us hanging! No follow-up video!
Those batteries just go bad when not used….I had the same issue.
We have a new scooter. Just waiting for weather to improve.
@@michaelsubasic yeah charge the battery once a month and don’t keep it on the charger for a long period of time.

Hi,thanks for the info. I have the same and I just bought new batteries. I realized that I have full power but only for 10 minutes. Is it normal?

@@bradohukno In my situation, it was a freedom scooter having the same power issue as this razor scooter. Basically, you'd turn it on, it would show power for a second, then it would go away. After fiddling around with it for some hours, I moved the wires, heard some crackling, and then the scooter took off across the living room. lol. I found out that the wire connections to the power source weren't strong enough. Basically if a power wire isn't a fully connected solid wire, with a good strong solder connection, it won't be enough voltage to run the scooter. In my case, I had several splices through the wires, and they were merely taped together with electrical tape. So I had to order some new wires. Then I made sure to solder the wire connectors on so that there was no doubt about the connection. Sometimes wires get breaks or shorts in them, especially if they're old.
The reason it took off across the living room when I finally did get a strong connection is because the throttle was broken, and apparently stuck in the "on" position. So in my case, I had more than just a power problem at the time. But alas, I figured both of them out. I'm not expert. Just wanted to get my kids scooters running again. But I hope this helps in your situation. :)
