I bought mine at Home Depot but I can't find them on their site. This is what they look like (the female one). Websites call them by different names - F1 and F2 (based on size), clam, quick disconnect. Make sure to check wire gauge for the wire side. 14 gauge if I remember right, so I bought connectors that supported 14 or 16 gauge. www.lowes.com/pd/Utilitech-16-Count-Disconnects-Wire-Connectors/999953182
So if you charge the battery, the red light is on, and the throttle will not make the scooter take off, the answer is a new battery??? We have one that charges over night. We take it off. Flip the red light. And it stays red. But the throttle won’t make it go. We need help on what to do.
Correct. What you're describing is exactly what he explained & what most of us are/were experiencing. You'll to buy a new battery pack & connectors. Good Luck
I did everything exactly the same and it still doesn’t work with new batteries. When I plug in the charger it’s green. But when I take off the charger and turn on the power…..nothing. It’s not an old bike and it worked before I switched the batteries. Any ideas?
Ugh, that's frustrating. Some quick things to try/check: (1) make sure the new batteries are hooked in series; (2) measure the voltage across the new batteries to see if they are taking/holding charge; (3) check the fuse that connects the two batteries; (4) check the crimps for good connections. More of a pain: switch back to the old batteries to see if they work (in which case problem is with the new batteries). Maybe others have suggestions
@projectreaDIY i dont know the type of motor that it has but the magnets in it may have a dead spot spin the back wheel 10 to 20 times and then hit the power ive had generators do that
I bought my grandsons scooter at goodwill. It's Been on charge but after literally 1 minute, it slows down and stops. But then when he gets off of it, no weight, it will go.
Hi, can you tell me where to find such connectors for connecting the battery?
Here's a link to Lowes: www.lowes.com/pd/IDEAL-12-Count-Disconnects-Wire-Connectors/3127721
Of all the videos I have seen, this is by far the best one.
Precisely what I needed! Thank you for the video. It's a big help!👍👍👍
Do you have a link to where you bought your connectors?

Female connectors connect to the tabs on the batteries

Sounds like it has an old battery. Or have you already replace the battery and it won't hold charge?

You didn't bother checking the fuse
Good suggestion for folks trouble-shooting their scooters, thanks!
Nice
No wonder these things are so heavy...they use lead batteries in 2023.
