Building hanging shelves
I have a lot of games collected over the years. Instead of using a boring regular old bookcase to store them, I built a pyramid-shaped set of shelves that hang from the ceiling. Each shelf is 1/2" plywood. 1/8" steel wire runs through them and hangs from hooks screwed into the ceiling.

Installing large ceiling molding ... with a pulley?
Просмотров 1373 месяца назад
I have a coffered ceiling in the shape of a circle in my foyer. I wanted to add a ceiling medallion, a ceiling ring, and a chandelier to dress it up. Working with large molding is tricky, but a pulley system ended up working well. The chandelier is an LED ring light with multiple (6) tiers Links: High thrust caulk gun: amzn.to/3SoMZRt Ceiling medallion: amzn.to/3WtseFP Ceiling ring: amzn.to/3yf...
Hidden cabinet
Просмотров 4096 месяцев назад
I found some unused square footage in my house. I cut open the drywall, built a shelf to hold a cabinet, built a cabinet with fixed and adjustable shelves, and then built something (picture/panel/art?) to hide the cabinet. Here's a link to the jig I used to drill the holes for the shelf pins - worked great: amzn.to/4bFwM1R
Horizontal slat fence to hide AC units
Просмотров 9 тыс.Год назад
My patio had an unpleasant view of air conditioner units and my lawnmower, so I built a horizontal picket privacy / screen fence with a modern look and colors (gray/black). One 4x4 pressure treated wood post is set in concrete. The other is bolted to the brick wall.

Paver patio build using Brock panels
Просмотров 561 тыс.2 года назад
I built a graded paver patio in my back yard using different colored, large (2'x2') concrete pavers, bordered by river rock. Instead of using paver base, I tried using the Brock PaverBase system: www.homedepot.com/p/PAVERBASE-20-04-in-x-36-in-Black-Brock-Paver-Base-Panel-PVB5B/205663180 I ended up buying this set of Adirondack chairs (black), putting one chair on each corner of the patio: amzn....

Why did you go to the trouble of sloping the dirt when it seems you could have just taken care of the slope at the sand level?
Como puedo encontrar esas pieza? Me podrian decir como se llama
Hmm, I will give it a try. I picked up a set of these from FB marketplace for cheap. I’m hoping to use it mostly for storage over winter, doesn’t seem to be smooth enough for daily use. As a very short person, this will be easier for me than just hooks on the ceiling. Thank you for sharing your install! 😊
Спасибо большое ща ваше видео, сейчас буду делать тоже площадку для авто, но правда в россии, в селе Диево-городище.
the thing i don't understand is, before pressing the ground, why not move the earth from lower direction to higher direction? why need ur neighbour's dirt?
u fuked up at the end, lol. haha.. You should have pulled it to the right over 1st, then turned it 1/4 turn. Instead you turned it while pulling it, hahha. lmfao
My guy, thank you for this video. Great work!
Do they have these for 4" PVC drain pipes?
Thanks a lot for the lesson - and IT WORKED!
These "hooks" won't stay under my seat and have dropped the bike twice before relegating it to no more use.
Excellent video! Thanks for the tips.
Precisely what I needed! Thank you for the video. It's a big help!👍👍👍
Awesome/helpful detailed video
That fire pit looks way too close to your house.
Thank you!
Two more shovels full of dirt and you could’ve done it correctly.
Once installed, is there a way to control the dimmer switches without adjusting them from on top of the cabinets? Are you able to adjust them from the wall switch, or from a remote or app? Thanks.

Thanks for the video. I installed these. You mentioned it was finicky to get them to go up evenly. I found them more than finicky. And for a heavier bike, I found it a real problem. It wanted to pull up one side more than the other. So as you desribed you have to help it; and the higher it gets the harder it is to help it stay level.
71320 Padberg Brook
Nice video, though its easier to use LED tape and run low voltage wires rather than 120VAC
Good video, thank you!!
Simply great demo .... My challenge is I need to do this for a 3" sch40 PVC and it is same process just need more muscle and room LoL Thanks bunch
In your formula for s, what is the 'r cos' mean where ir states - r cos(miter angle....) Does that mean r(radius) times the cos (cosign) times the miter angle OR does it mean the inverse cosign. Having lots of trouble getting your formulas to work. Thanks
wrong type of repair coupling, dont do this under ground
drilling decking screws would have been alot better in the event you had to re-run electrical or plumbing. good job though.
Great job Don’t think the steel was needed tho
Thank you for the excellent no fluff instruction.
Nice to have OSB on the ceiling - Do they do that on all new construction in your area ?
Saved me today! Didn’t know what it was at the store, searched and found your video and success. My sprinklers are back to running smoothly. Thank you!
Hi! Excellent video! Did you use a pin or brad nailer? Can you provide the manufacturer of the one that you used? Thanks!
I found that an 18 gauge brad nailer worked best. 1.25" nails. The nailer I used in the video broke, so I'm currently using one from harbor freight. www.harborfreight.com/18-gauge-brad-air-nailer-64140.html
Wow, these are my new best friend never knew they existed till seeing them at Home Depot. Fixing PVC has always been such a huge pain in the butt. I’ve been spending about three hours trying to repair our current PVC one trying to slide it back and forth, but in hundred degree Arizona heat everything expands and not really possible a normal coupling.
Muy bien buna idea
Aluminum ladder section works great as a long straight edge. For bonus points... Zip tie a cheap level. Great job
Thank You !!! Great Videeo!
Wow! That is crazy they are that heavy!
You helped me, bro. thank you
I would have tried to do a post firs to ask first if notching the original vertical 2'x6"'s would have degraded them. There's a question (at least by me) of if they load-bearing up-down (in which case, probably less). If just for support of the joists left-right, it might not have been an issue. And saved you a lot of work.
Want to do this to my kitchen backsplash! Can you share how much it cost?
You are an absolute godsend. I have attached my (high pressure) pool to pump supply lines three ties now - every time, the line blew off and sprayed water everywhere (the joint failed). Your video totally reminded me to use primer! Rookie mistake!!
Olá! Por favor, permita a tradução das legendas em português. Saudações do Rio de Janeiro, no Brazil.
Done! :)
Get your DIY projects completed by the time you're 60 because the DIY enthusiasm/willingness wanes as you age. I have many projects, but have been putting them off, and putting them off because I've lost interest in doing it my self. I'm 66.
I had a really bad lower back incident about 20 months ago. That's why I haven't been able to upload many DIY videos lately. Very slowly getting better. I'll be 53 next month.
I tried this and of your pipe isn’t really straight it will still leak.
Its hard for me to tell but are pavers flush to the ground or elevated?
The Brock panels lay directly on the sand and the pavers lay directly on the panels. (Sometimes the pavers were not perfectly level with each other, in which case I added a bit of sand between the paver and the panel.)
For your corners you can purchase "corner/elbow connectors" You cut each corner at the contacts and attach the cut ends of the LED strip. I've had bad experience with slight bends in my strips, seems overtime to cause some damage to individual LEDS. You can also try Ambient Sync lighting which sync the LED colors to the content on the screen. I have a few videos on my channel if you're interested in seeing what it looks. Subscribed.
a small pony tail from the light switch box next to the new switches would have been so much easier man and on the same breaker.
100% Missed it completely. Thanks for the feedback
One suggestion: Wear disposable gloves.
Why?
One of two things I’d do differently, 1 strip more of the wire jacket off leaving 1/4” of romex sheath. 2, wire up the fan to the left switch then the light on the right. 3, add electrical tape on devices and finish installation.
A good glass and tile cutter is necessary using a diamond or carbide wheel on a tile cutter for cutting glass tiles. Also glass oil on the wheel helps the blade stay sharp and in good shape to get clean cuts. Also Ive never seen anyone grout mirror tiles. Usually those are butted up together so I learned why and what not to do on this video. Sorry. Looked ok when done. Mirror tiles arent ceramic tiles. Theres a difference between them and how to install. Lol
The included instructions didn’t show how to string the line through the locking mechanism so your close-up of this is VERY helpful - thank you!
