    would 72v? work with this build or you think thats overkill? i have one of these mini razor peds my grandpa gave me this thing when i was like 6 he passed away it would be so cool to make a crazy sleeper build out this thing

      It really depends how much you want to spend. The build I did was already up to $300 not including the bike.

    I just found one of these and I put my 12v lithium batteries on it and it keeps shutting off.
    Does that mean my batteries are too strong for the controller? I cut it off then back on and it works still.

    i want to run same motor and controller for a pocketmod as well will i be good with a 48v 20ah Lithium battery pack?

      Yes, just check what how many amps can be supplied from the battery pack/BMS as you want at least 30A.

      I recently welded it shut, only issue at low speed the chain can slap due to the chain tensioner but it hasn't been a problem for me.

      It depends what you want out of your build. You don't want to be running a heavy motor on something this small with minimal room for batteries and controller.
