- Let's talk about how to replace Porsche 911 with Car Magic LED instrument gauge bulbs.
One of the things I hate about this guards red 1984 Porsche 911 is the incredibly dim incandescent gauge bulbs. It's virtually impossible to see the gauges at night. Today I am replacing the original incandescent instrument gauge bulbs with LED bulbs from Car Magic which makes a HUGE difference. It's a simple project that you can do yourself.
It's a very affordable and easy do it yourself [DIY] project. The bulb replacement kit from Car Magic was around $25.00 and it takes about 20 minutes to convert the entire instrument panel gauge lights to LED. The difference is INCREDIBLE!

I’m so glad this is so easy . Holy crap! Subscribed. I’ve had my 83sc for a few months and haven’t realized how easy this is
Thanks. I had the same plan but it’s great that you’ve done all the homework for me!
Thanks for posting this - love my '87 "red car" but like you it drives me crazy at night as I can't see squat on the instrument panel! Going to give this update a shot!
Thanks for this excellent video! Just installed mine and chose the classic lights which are bright and look correct.
Glad it helped
Excited to do this to me 3.2! Great video. Thanks.
I did this conversion from Car Magic and it made a huge difference. There are two versions of bulbs, bright white and a retro version that tries to maintain the original colors. Easy conversion.
Love this project. Totally agree that the lighting is ... weak. Cool to follow your journey and get ideas.
I must say that's 💯 better than before, gotta do my 1987 911 carrera convertable 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Thank you fire video. Updated my 87 Targa with leds from Classic Car LEDs in the UK. Looking forward to future videos
:58 into the video and blown away by video quality/production such a small channel (no disrespect)!
Are these LED's dimmable? (can I still turn the headlight knob to adjust brightness?)
Nice job! Sweet ride!
Thanks for posting this .
Thanks for sharing this 👍
Cheers!
I liked the orange themed light tho instead of white one.
Hello, I noticed your shift knob is awesome. Where did you get it or what brand . By the way thank you for great led light content. So helpful 🙏🇹🇭
Hi, the shift knob was from a seller on EBay. I just checked and he seems to be gone now. However, there are several other sellers who make them on ebay. I was able to request custom color to include the red ring. Good Luck!
Thank you for following up the questions 🙏🍀
very nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
Is there a way to remove the tach without removing the turn signal housing and wheel? The lights make a huge difference.
Did you go Vintage or bright white?
Thanks for posting this video. I've ordered the light upgrade. Can I ask - what steering wheel is that and did it come with the Porsche crest? Where did you get it?
Hi mate. Nice car! I am also an owner of a 89 Carrera. Where did you source your horn button? How do you like it? Thanks.
What is the serial or part number to install the LED bulbs to the Porsche instruments and where can I order or buy them?
Hi Alberto, If you go to carmagic.us you should be able to find the right LEDs for your year of 911.
How are the bulbs holding up 8 months on?
They’re great. I still believe it’s one of the best and easiest upgrades I’ve made.
Did u give up on making videos?
