I have been waiting for a Heli type drone for awhile. I really hope they see the interest and come out with a highly upgraded model with a better camera, better range, and more drone like features such as RTH and follow features. Maybe brushless as well. The camera can even be basic like the Holystone but at least adjustable angle
I watched a video of a guy who made whoop canopies by vacuum forming, which is the same way most RC heli canopies are made. It was a total DIY setup with common home appliances.
Thank you for this video. That app was irritating me, but this video got me up and flying. Camera quality is crap, but the upgrades for it are not only cheap, but easy, as the camera is not even soldered onto the board, it is plug-mounted, so you can wire the new camera to the plug, and literally plug & play. Pretty rad little flyer, and durable too!! My first 2 flights showed me that the rotors just dont care about silly things like brick walls.... O.o Thank again!!
Fantastic flying and review, Lee! 😃 I don't know, but I feel like the camera was a mistake. They could remove it and put the money in upgrading stuff like you mentioned. After all, it's a pretty low quality camera either way. Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Hi Lee I only have one problem with it, I have never liked wifi for video. It just has to much delay, but it does fly. You get what you pay for. I know it's a toy. Thanks again for the video and information about this little heli.
Agreed, it is a way for them to make it cheaper as most of us have phones that will work with it. I'm with you on your other point too - I'd love a 'real' FPV setup as mentioned in the end of the video... Happy flying!
Really appreciated the look at the internals and components, not just an overview demo. Thanks Lee. Would be great if Eachine offered an edition without the (include) radio with a common Rx protocol. The savings of not including the radio could be use to offer some optional features. The battery shape suggests it might be possible to 3d print a light landing skid the friction fits to help stabilize on landing. (better to break a simple 3d printed skid than needing a new propeller blade)
Is the camera on a separate board? I don't want to disassemble mine yet, but I'm hoping that the camera module could be swappable with a better FPV cam
nice model for a first dip into the world of rc flight, gives you a rough idea of what the hobby can do, them as you say most people then want more "advanced big boy/girl toys". question I keep forgetting to ask, is there a way to figure out what frequencies these operate on and use a multi protocol radio to fly them rather than the crappy tx thats comes with them? then the multi protocol tx would store the trims? thanks in advance Lee, stay safe
Stick an 'Insta 360 Go 2' on the bottom for fully stabilised 1080p video recording on this thing... You'll likely reduce your flying time to around 10 minutes...
Other reviewers have click-baited it as a 'Black Hornet', this isn't a $80,000 drone that is used by the US, UK and other armed forces. But, it is a lot of fun!
That design is straight-up copied from the world's smallest drone "Black Hornet". Whoever manufactured that needs a lawyer immediately. Lawsuit coming soon. But if he's a Chinese (most probably is), then nevermind.
Yep, even more frustrating a lot of the reviews were comparing it to that massively expensive military drone too (clickbait much?) This is a toy, but could be something very special with a few tweaks...
The only thing so far that I like is the 12 minute flight time. But potential to do some other things like either true fpv or 2.4 g like dji. Crossfire or elrs is a given.
Nice review 👍 Is the transmitter on mode 1 or 2? I would like to buy it on aliexpress, but theres the option of left and right. I use mode 2 (left hand throttle). Can someone help me? 🤌
I saw another youtube review and I am so glad I was already subscribed. You absolutely rock painless360
nice easy review cheers 👍

Some camera is better than none for military scouting
Would be great to replace the guts with a flight controller, vtx and receiver and change it into a proper FPV heli. Spot for GPS?
Wont take long till someone will do it
@@haschkatze8372 I saw someone already replaced the camera and vtx, so probably soon.
@@witblitsfpv1265 saw it too
With all the nano FCs out there I'm sure one that runs ardupilot would fit😁
@witblitsfpv1265 Do you happen to recall where you saw that?
Considering the US military version costs $170,000 and change, it looks like a great deal. 😉
5,000$ screws and 10,000$ bolts ;-D
Didn't somebody just say you get what you pay for? Meh... maybe not if your the US military...

I'd imagine you could use a cheap wifi extender to increase range.
Really appreciated the look at the internals and components, not just an overview demo. Thanks Lee.

Would be nice to install there a proper FPV camera.
Is there a way to add ELRS to it?
As for the camera gimbal, I believe you can manually tilt the angle, thanks for the review.
I hope they make one that can be. See my note at 8:28...Happy flying!
would be nice if you could bind with the RadioMaster
You should be able to easily 3D print a landing gear for this.
Thx for the review, but i want to ask can it be moded to switch the camera in to a better one?
Not easily... Happy flying
@@Painless360 thx for the info
I mean for the price it seems pretty fantastic:) it would have been nice to use another radio though
If I can figure out what protocol it uses (the use of the throttle to bind is a hint), than I'll post a video!
would be really easy to boost the range on the wifi.
Did you get this from bangood uk?
Why didnt you use your multi protocol?
The heli isn't that great. I've not touched it following the review... Happy flying
Is the drone eachine e110 can hold the strong wind?
Stiff breezes are about all it can handle..
For £69.69 and you get helicopter, camera, radio and batteries i don't think you can grumble.
Is the camera on a separate board? I don't want to disassemble mine yet, but I'm hoping that the camera module could be swappable with a better FPV cam
Nick, the onboard camera is a separate board to the RX board inside. it's the smaller one at the front.
does the optical flow work?
Seems to. Makes for agressive braking when position holding...

I've asked Eachine to let me know, it I figure it out I will post a follow up video!: D
The dev version seems to support the E110 - model: E129 submodel: C186. Found this info on rcgroups in the E110 thread.
How do you tag fpv goggles to it ?
No idea, they missed a trick adding that functionality!

so good or not???
Good as a toy. That's it... Happy flying
fpv mode on the camera
Hey, i've seen this before lol. It looks almost exactly like some kind of Drone the US Air Force i believe used/uses. Just bigger.
Other reviewers have click-baited it as a 'Black Hornet', this isn't a $80,000 drone that is used by the US, UK and other armed forces. But, it is a lot of fun!
The sticky stick killed that deal. That's toooo low budget.
Put hd zero in it!
Halfway there... and not 30k each
All those cheap radios produce so much waste. I wish they would sell those separately. It’s the same thing with cheap RC cars.

да он похож, но дизайн не скопирован, суда не будет
a step too far in the wrong direction in my opinion

Mode 2 for the one I have here... Happy flying
@@Painless360 thank ya, but in aliexpress there is the mode left and right. What i need to buy for mode 2?
I'd ask them.. Probably left but I'd still ask them...
