Eddie is awesome, he's a mod / car loving guy who isn't cringe which is a rare breath of fresh air. He's humble about his knowledge and doesn't spew bullshit and everything he's done to his car is clean and classy. Oh and as a fellow Accord 2.0T (in black) owner I think he has great taste in cars

I’m so glad he felt that he didn’t need to make it loud. Everyone is doing that. I have a Honda Accord sport as well and I’ve upgraded it but the exhaust I really still want to leave alone. I like fast quiet lol not fast and loud lol. You can trick people into thinking it’s not that fast.
Get the Borla axle back....not obnoxious but gives it a some burbbles and growl at high rpms.
It seems Honda tuned the sound pretty well on this vehicle

You sir get it. Many don't. I have owned a lot of performance machines including motorcycles. A lot to be said for stealth.
It also really depends on the car too, the Accord is dope being fast af and quiet, a sleeper, but a car that would be dope a bit loud would be something like an M4 or S5

In September of 20 I test drove the 20 Accord 1.5T Sport right after test driving the 21 Civic Hatch 1.5T Sport. The Accord was more everything, power, luxury & features. I bought the Civic though because I was replacing a 6th gen 98 Accord EX 3.0 which I spent a lot of time and money making sporty and I drove it to the dealership. The 10th gen Accord just felt so much bigger and heavier than my 6th gen even if I hadn't modified it and getting to test drive it right after the 21 Civic Hatch Sport it was clear I wanted the smaller platform. My garage size also helped me decide. Accords are bullet proof if you take care of them. When I sold my 98 Accord EX 3.0 it had 238,000 miles on the factory motor and automatic transmission. The only thing that failed on that car was the factory paint job which you can see on many examples that are still on the highway. The clear coat wasn't sprayed evenly on a large amount of those 98 Accords and you see a line from the front to the back where the clear went first and the paint slowly disappeared. Sorry for the rambling. Great video and great car!

I have this car with a 6MT. It's a tad bit slower than the 10AT but it's a lot of fun.
6MT is the best. I have an 05 TSX A-Spec with the 6-speed manual. If I got a 2.0T it'd be manual-only for me!

@@neilquinn well they cheaper to begin with. And like most cars sold in a america used manuals go for cheap cause a very small percentage of people actually know how to drive it
I have never been more proud as a Honda owner😂 I’ve got a 2017 accord sport se. really looking at the 2.0 sports now. I’ve always thought that if you put a Nardo grey wrap + black wheels and a subtle lip/spoiler...you’d have a budget RS7😂
So happy I got my 2.0 in manual. Those cars quickly became unicorns in the Honda realm.
The Accord 2.0t Engine (K20C4) is very similar in make up of the Civic Type-R (K20C1). The Accord 2.0t is not a "De-Tuned" Type-R engine. But does share internals and components. But the Type-R (K20C1) is build for more power at higher RPM, where the Accords (K20C4) is more for mid-range power. That's the reason you will see the 2.0t Accords hanging with Type-R's (Stock vs Stock) in the lower speeds. But as soon as you get up in the 70-100 MPH range the Type-R is pulling harder. There is also better cooling and a larger Turbo on the Type-R (K20C1). The "De-Tuned" Type-R engine talk needs to stop. Once folks know the differences they would not call it "De-Tuned" anymore.

I'm still learning about my 2021 Honda Accord 2.0t Touring, and i'm looking forward to a flex fuel converter and Hondata or KTuner power management system. Wondering if you did the Flex fuel mod? I as well want to do some minor mods like the Flex fuel and a flex fuel tune. Wondering if you had any of this done and how you found the power vs stock to be.
It's either this car or the 2013-2015 gs350. If I did not live in Quebec the ultimate choice would have been LEXUS IS F.

I love the stock wheels on the Accords. Those are such nice cars and for the power you get, really not a bad price. But they should make more of them with a manual.
The manual was removed in 2020 and will never come back. I had a 2018 that was rear ended and totaled from it very sad day. There was no more manuals by the time I had to replace they had already stopped production. Less then 1% were sold as manuals that's why it's a dead transmission. Luckily it's still available still in next gen Civic one of the best 6 speeds I have ever had made in India...😂

That Honda 10-Speed transmission is definitely interesting, fully designed and built in-house.

It's a great trans. My only knock is it doesn't hold gears when paddle shifting, even in sport mode.

@UC_SgDRU1GFqo6BDT0shn9DQ it is not CVT. Traditional automatic transmission with 10 gears. It has been holding about 500hp 460 tq so far for a long time and 400 plus for years.
@@kensmechanicalaffair He is probably referring to Sport Mode in automatic. In sport mode manual it does hold the gears. Hit "Sport" button, then pull the left paddle shifter to get the car into manual mode. The only time I am aware of the car shifting on its own is from 1st to 2nd gear, which is extremely short for this 10 speed AT and probably by design so that you don't break the transmission. But after 2nd gear, have control of all the remaining gears.

@@edryan1845 I am not hyped enough to give up the 6MT yet, but the first thing that went through my head, was how hard is it going to be to swap one of these J30s into an older Accord or TL.
A 9th gen coupe with a DOHC turbo would be a sleeper on steroids.

Y'all probably know this by now, but the difference between the Type R (K20C1) and Accord (K20C4) is the turbo, cams, and the way VTEC activates/which cam timings it advances. There are others I'm sure I'm forgetting, but those are the major ones I'm pretty sure of.
I'm in love with the 10th gen Accord's, I'm thinking about trading the 17 Civic Sport Hatch for an Accord Touring 2.0t and KTune it later this year.

Would like an update somewhere down the road of long term reliability with these mods.
I think with this set up and keep up with the maintenance especially oil changes every 3-4k for a turbo car I’d say it will last 150-200k with 0 issues.

No lie ! I have a 2021 1.5 and they are pretty fast for 4 cylinder and the way it handles and take curves it almost feels like I'm driving the RB F1 car!

3”downpipe & front pipe, keep the stock exhaust. Thats what i have on my ktuned 2.0 and its only loud when I really step on it.

I have the 22 2.0T same color. Only small performance I done to that car is upgrade the engine filter to AFE filter and same cosmetic job as his except get the window visors and the sunroof visor instead of chrome delete on the window. New to the car community and I am still learning as well. Had a 19 civic hatch before upgrading and definitely love this accord

i really wanted an si but i changed my mind, now my mind is stuck on a 2018 honda accord 2.0T sport, that car is my dream car right now, i really want to make it a stealthy and stylish modern car that also has good performance, the interior looks amazing and it all around looks awesome! the styling of the accord is way better than civics imo. i am working a lot and trying to save up so i can afford one hopefully sooner than later

I've had the Si for over 2 years now and its awesome though. Went with Phearable tune just to make the car feel how it should. Day to day I just chill on the first map at 19 psi.

I’m glad you had the 1.5t before hand. Most guys shit on it but just got straight to the 2.0t. The 1.5 weather it’s manual or cvt it gets up and goes. I got the 1.5 cvt for great fuel economy but have a PRL downpipe, PRL intake, full exhaust, pherbale stage 3. It moves for a 1.5 turbo

Type-R (K20C1) vs Accord (also Acura MDX) (K20C4):
Different cylinder heads, but same crank and block
Fuel system is way different (both are Direct injection but totally different)
Different Cam Shafts - K20C1 has a more aggressive shaft for higher RPM's vs the K20C4 having more of a mild cam
Different Turbos (as most know) - K20C1 has a MHI TD04 (larger for more peak output) and the K20C4 has a IHI RHF5
The K20C4 is not a "De-Tuned" Type-R engine. It's a different engine for a different purpose. The Type-R (K20C1) is build to be reved out on a track where the Accords 2.0t (K20C4) is for performance for daily streets.

I did the research when i got my 6mt 2.0t
Difference between k20c1 & k20c4 is fuel system , turbo , cams , pistons and block castings . cranks have different part #s and accord crank is called superlight . both are forged rotating assemblies if im correct .......

Just buy 2020 or early 10th gen used. I had one got totaled when it was rear-ended was best car ever had. Finding a used manual isn't easy they didn't sell well so there isn't alot especially in a 2.0t

@@robertblack6630 I'd rock an Accord with the 2.0 Turbo in a 6 speed in a heartbeat. This gen was the best one so far. Although I'll likely hang on to my Si a little longer to see what 2022 brings.
Really wish they didn't get rid of the 6 speed manual, but oh well I guess. But what Honda should have done with this car, was to include a limited slip differential.

lmfaoo its in nor cal, for the most part your scat will leave us after 110-120. so if it was leaving you it was most likely a fbo type r turbo or a fbo e40 custom tuned accord. i can pull on scats but once i really raced one after 110 he put a car or 2 on me fast.

The type r engine has a cast intake and the accord has a plastic i think injection molded one
It's the same rods same crank different pistons on the type R it has relief cut for more boost and higher compressionThe valve Springs are different the Turbo is different and the victim the fueling is different but they all have forged internals . Another RUclips or get a breakdown on the motor between the K20C accord and the K20CI which is the type R And the main differences were the pistons of valve Springs and fueling And Turbo of course

DO NOT get a cold air intake on a Si....it will ingest water and hydro lock the engine the first time you get in heavy rain and hit any considerable stranding water. I learned this the hard way.
Does a KTune void a warranty? I've heard conflicting reports.

MAF sensor housing is installed wrong. MAF goes on top.
we honestly had trouble getting it on so when we realized it was on the side i just said fewk it its fine for now until i take it off again to do the intercooler res delete soon

I had to deactivate the ANC with my 2015 V6 6mt coupe when I installed a sub as well. Simple enough just unplug it from the head unit.
