Ive done it multiple times. This video is cynical and overly negative. Marketing doesn't require a large budget. I have multiple apps with millions of installs. I've had a top 10 app twice now in Google Play and Apple Appstore and spent $0 on marketing. You just have to be creative. Build something people NEED and be smart in how you get it in front of people. Dont listen to anyone who says it cant be done. ✌️
Yeah, it's worth having an app in the store just to showcase it to the potential employers - uploading it as a money maker you would need a well defined product that brings good value to the user which is hard to build on your own.
It's related to the app content and users niche. Developpers try to build small app to grow up their portfolio but building app that make you riche it's possible but you need idea and time, it's not just about coding,(strategy, conception, updates, ux, marketing...). By the way there are developers hwo make thousands of 💵 by month.
I think this is true for the western developers where they can make 100k by freelancing or a job but for a developer in India apps can make a lot as the earnings are in dollars.
i think it depends entirely on the app that you have built..yes you can make an app that can make you rich quickly..the hardest part is coming up with an idea of such an app.
I made a free bus schedule app for my small town and it makes finding a job really easy. It's worth it just for this. But I also like the bragging rights 😂
@@arthipettla5938it's easy to find information on that. You could start with android studio, free and tutorials from Google. The way bigger problem is to make an app which is actual useful to a lot of people.
@trending6076you can use flutter that uses dart or react native that uses javaScript to build native applications for android and IOS they are both relatively simple to use, also you can used android studio to code in java if you really wanna punish yourself
Even though my first app wasn't about making money, it really taught me a lot over the last few years. It's a soundboard about a RUclipsr I still really like watching and at its peak it had about 30k users. First it dropped interest to about 20k. Now after 6 years and some time since the last update (1-2 years) the user count dropped to about 7k. Even keeping up with content updates gets pretty hard, when your priorities change over time. But I'm glad I've done it and still love working on the code once in a while 😊
True bro... An app developer put so much effort in app concept, there designing & developement but what after that... it's just your personal project ntgh else... apart from that... the youtubers put little effort to make a video... and through that video he starts earning more than an app earn in his whole life.... in here I'm talking abt admob ads... which pays only few cents for year
I cannot agree more, apps become lucrative when combining the best tech & best marketing , building apps alone yield into cold traffic, and no traction
It won't make you rich until you do get attention and have 50,000 people paying 10 dollars a month and are making 500,000 a month and then I think you can afford to develop customer service bots
I have burned my fair share of money on marketing :) I 100% agree with the video but I enjoy the process, learned a lot + my app landed me a job so I will continue on with it.

This is not true at all is like sying music won't make you rich or writing won't make you famous. In the end we could extend this to every aspect of creative life. Yes I think so too, I do not agree, it's just exaggerated. What is one of your app name
What are some of the apps you made?
Same. I literally made millions selling drugs to homeless people through app.
@@pajeetsingh I got my drug some time ago, and that's Jesus. Try Jesus, then compare

This video is spot on! Books like The Secret Doctrine of Wealth offer more value than years of college. It’s all about self-education.

An idea isn't worth much, the execution counts and this video explains why that's the hard part 😄

My app has 10M+ downloads without marketing, but I guess these days it's no longer realistic to do this.
How much you earn from that ?

You 7k/month active users or 7k daily active users?
It's definitely amazing to learn coding that way :)
@@RajuYadav-qm4ic Apparently yes :D Though i was checking again and it is about 5k now. But well yeah some people seem to still use it.
30k users for a freaking soundboard? 😂
I learned all of that the hard way. Thanks for making vids like these. It helps young devs to do better than we did
Apps are another way to sell service basically, scaled by tech but lots of maintenance work along the way .
One of most honest content on apps. I mostly agree with you, all you have said should be considered before having such unrealistic belief.
I got 1 million downloads app organically lol but sadly that console got suspended 😂
Why, it was not legit app ?
Trust me I've made over 5 apps, don't listen to this guy.

First step is always acquiring the core business skills: marketing and sales

This is the reason 😢..
people tend to follow those who have proven experience rather than talking out of the air
I have two on Google Play but no income hhh. I published them during my college journey and I am graduating soon.
App name
yes because how long people play on ur app you get paid from them playing 😂
Simple, become a full stack dev for hire
No but I will have one quite soon
I want to make my own app so I don’t pay to use another app
