    I swear every video I watch changes my opinion on whether or not 6 arc is worth it

    • @JuiceyMedia1
      @JuiceyMedia1  3 месяца назад +14

      @bigfootgoesboom I watched probably 60 videos about it before I decided to go with it. I was definitely taking a risk with not a lot of videos out on this specific gun, but MAN, I am impressed. Light recoil, light gun, hard hitting, flat shooting fine piece of badassery. If you ever get the chance to shoot one prior to purchase, definitely take it. If you decide to go for it, I can confidently say that this caliber is sick! Definitely go with a more reputable maker for the gun/ barrel to get the best performance, but other than that, you should be solid!

      I’ve been shooting my 12” 6.5 Grendel for 7 years now out to 800, 900, and even 1000yds. Not much difference between it and my 16”, 17.6”, or 18” Grendels from shooter perspective. There are 127 active factory ammo SKUs for 6.5 Grendel as well, with 3 new ones from AAC being the most recent drops. 100gr ELD-VT from Hornady behaves like 6mm ARC 103gr ELD-X and 108gr ELD-M. My real world data match the Hornady doppler radar data for 6mm ARC. With Grendel, you can shoot 80-160gr, with 123gr being the most common. 123gr hits the steel really hard and you can self-spot easily. Great for hunting too.

      @@JuiceyMedia1if you were impressed with the 12.5" then the 18" will blow your mind. It's almost like Noveske included a cheat code with they're 18" 6ARC barrel. My buddy and are planning on going to Utah to do the milk jug challenge. We have been practicing out to 1200 yard's using a steel IPSC target at his grandparents place and we are hitting it 6 out of 10 times. We have started reloading for the 6ARC and my barrel likes the Barnes TTSX 105's and my buddy's likes the 108's. With your Noveske lower send it back because I have had problems with some of Noveske's parts and I have been buying Noveske parts for 15 or more years. that's all Noveske they are tight as fuck, pretty sure you have a Gen 3 or 4 and there should be a tension screw in the lower. Im building a similar set up as we speak with Centurion arms 12.5 and Noveske Bolt, how are you liking the bolt? Also I know they are pricy but highly recommend the Geissele 6 arc mags try to get them on sale cause they are extremely pricy

    • @JuiceyMedia1
      @JuiceyMedia1  3 месяца назад +1

      @jbcustom3745 So I could be wrong, but the tension screw on the bottom only puts tension on the fitment between the upper and lower when they're installed together. The pins I believe are sticky because the holes in the lower are just slightly off, or there's something that's every so slightly out of spec. That could be my mistake, but I am familiar with what you're talking about. The bolt and everything has worked great so far! I did try to run the centurion sandcutter bolt carrier in this thing, being it's an AR chassis. They're supposed to be compatible. But the fitment was pretty tight, and it made it kind of stiff to operate the charging handle and BCG. It could just be that it's a brand new gun, and the tolerances are super tight. I'm definitely going to try out the geissele mags soon.

      Did you get the Centurion Arms barrel optimized for 100% suppressed use? I'm not sure if you have heard of it, but I hear it's available if you call. My friend who is a small time gun influencer who uses a lot of centurion arms parts in his builds told me about it but at the time I didn't want to wait a few more months and went with the Beer City Bullets 12.5 and it's awesome. It's better than the noveske barrel I had. The SBR was not available at the time and I'm sure the problems I had aren't with the factory SBR. I had slight feeding and extracting issues and it went away when I changed to the BCB barrel and was more accurate as well. To be fair I used Hornady Black ammo with the noveske barrel and I had heard to go with the 108gr match ammo (just like this video says as well) and it was a significant difference to me. The only similarities is the same filthy Hornady powder seems to get everywhere
