Just got one in the post yesterday . Mine has 200m 660ft in red on the dial , not 100m as yours . The bezel was really tight on arrival but I have been twirling it repeatedly and it’s eased up somewhat , action is grainy as you suggest but similar to a couple of other Ti watches I have. Bracelet works well and the apparent bulk of the clasp mechanism doesn’t impose itself . Lume didn’t last the night but was clearly visible after 4-5 hours ( I’m an old man I get up in the night ) . Thanks for the review .
Great video! I did similar experiment with buying a “Octopus Kraken” homage to a Tudor Pelagos 39 to try it out. It actually was very nice watch and I almost just kept it instead of buying the Pelagos, but every time I looked down on it, seeing the generic/fake branding felt wrong. It is crazy how much specs these cheap watches include now though.
I also have the octopus kraken titanium p39 - After owning it for a while any intention to own a Tudor pelagos 39 has dissapeared completely. Fully satisfied with it and with the extra 4000usd in my pocket
Did you wake up in the middle of the night just to roll/record the lume part? Or everyone else around was sleeping and you had to be quiet? 😋 Just teasing you Jason, hope you're well. Cheers mate.
Oh I don't know unfortunately. I have only reviewed a few San Martins. There are other channels that specialize in these brands that would definitely know!
SN017 is the original San martin Sub. 40mm and 20mm lug width with an NH35 SN019 is mimicking the new sub, so it's 41mm and 21mm lug width, it runs the PT500 and is slightly more expensive because of it SN084 is more of a deep sea homage, big and beefy at 43mm and IIRC 21mm lugs, a bit thicker as well and 500m water resistant. SN0111 is the newest watch, kind of an updated submariner. 40mm with 20mm lugs, all brushed case (all others have polished case sides) with high polished chamfers. it's a toss up between the N017 and SN0111 for me. the classic 40/20 size is just about right for everyone. I like the design options of both cases. the SN01111 does have a slightly double domed crystal with no cyclops, so it's a cleaner look IMO. but quality wise, they are about even. I've reviewed both of those watches. the SN017 is available with a screw bracelet and on the fly clasp as well as a pin and coller and normal microadjust clasp for cheaper...just letting you know.
The older sn 017 is discontinued. It was great. Now the sn 017 has a cheaper bracelet and clasp without screws. Sn 019 was never great in my opinion since it has 21mm lugs so really unusual strap size, the pt5000 movement is proven being unreliable and it's basically a worse watch that's more expensive. The only plus I guess is if you really really want that modern supercase size. Sn 0111 is great if you want a no date sub, you get the best bracelet and the best clasp. There's also a titanium version but that has the pt5000
I own the Omega Seamaster 300m white dial version and brother, by all means, flirt with this one but I promise you the Omega version will take you right to the honeymoon stage and keep you there.

it was sold out shortly after i got mine. i love it!
Yeah, I'm enjoying mine as well!
I got the blue one that was released last month, I love it….but hate the mesh bracelet.
Fair enough, it is okay for the price, but not great.

I bought the Octopus Kraken in blue after my disappointment with the actual Pelagos 39 (didn't like the sunburst dial and bezel).

Haha! The baby was probably sleeping. Cheers!
He could have been an opposition , you are so correct . But now we have no opposition either .
Can you compare the San Martin SN017, SN019, SN084, SN0111 ?
What's the difference? Which is the newest? Which is the best?

It is on my list to own eventually for sure! :)
Why
What's impressive about a Seamaster copy?
Titanium, sapphire crystal, ceramic lumed bezel, on a bracelet for $150 is impressive I think
It's impressive how you can make a product that does 99% of the original with 10% of the price
Seamaster copy
You think? 🙄
lol yes.
Really? Thanks Captain Obvious.
