Gotta listen to The Kiss skit, then this song, then Say Goodbye to Hollywood in that order. Those two tracks transition so well, it hits that much harder. Soldier is the immediate raw anger, and Say Goodbye to Hollywood is more reflective. Tells a real compelling story.
DJ Green Lantern - Invasion Part 2: Conspiracy Theory is an entire did track album that Eminem put out towards Ja Rule and the Murder Inc roster. He brings in 50, G-Unit, Cypress Hill, Busta… they all have tracks with Eminem killing Ja and this is the album that destroyed Ja Rules career
His flow on this song reminds me so much of 2pac. You can hear that he was so inspired by him and that he studied him. Much of Eminem Show has this same type of flow. It was Em at the very top of his game. He was on top of the world and not afraid to come at anyone.
Tupac is a poet but he is not on the lyrical level of Eminem or similar artists. But if you're on that black power shit, probably not many better at that shit

Toy Soldiers, Stan, and Not Afraid are must listens since you're on an Eminem binge. All are key songs that I recommend when it comes to pints in his life history. But probably none more important than Cleanin' Out My Closet followed by Headlights. If you listen to the first I say it's required that you listed to the second right after.

I was a senior in HS when this album dropped. Younger people will never know how important EM in his prime was to us elderly millennials. '99-'03 EM was the best rapper I've ever heard in my life. He did fall off around 2005 but in those 4-5 years he was was something we had never seen or heard before. He took over the world around that time. I honestly believe had he maintained the trajectory he was on he, easily, would have gone down as the 🐐

His flow on this song reminds me so much of 2pac. You can hear that he was so inspired by him and that he studied him.

I was a senior in HS when this album dropped. Younger people will never know how important EM in his prime was to us elderly millennials. '99-'03 EM was the best rapper I've ever heard in my life. He did fall off around 2005 but in those 4-5 years he was was something we had never seen or heard before. He took over the world around that time. I honestly believe had he maintained the trajectory he was on he, easily, would have gone down as the 🐐
