From what my sources say, BugZ was a part of D12 but was killed and then ran over after a dispute about a waterpistol on 5/21/99. BugZ last request before he passed was to have Swift join the group but Eminem volunteered, this led Eminem to eventually rejoin the group. Hope this helps ❤️

This was my first Eminem song I ever heard, fell in love instantly. I still rock his stuff to this day, 17 years later. One of my fave songs of his, definitely a product of the time, but still holds up strongly to this day.

One of the things that is so incredible about this song is that Em manages to condense and relate a huge amount of the history of the beefs, even as far back as Dre and Shug, though he definitely made a point of not using Shugs name in this song out of respect to Dre and his request for Em to stay out of it. Poetry, performance and history all in one beautifully made song.

His first 4 studio albums were pure gas. Then things really slowed down in quality big time. This album also had mosh on it. One shot two shot. We as Americans.

Proof was shot not long after this was released, which is haunting when you think Proof was in the video dying, Bugz got killed from D12 in 99 over some stupid shit in Belle Isle park which was what he was elluding to being the possible outcome from the beef.
Listened to this song for years... and owned the Martika backing track prior to Eminem.. but knew very little of the back story/rap war. Thanks for giving me some insight 👍🏼

Eminem's catalogue is full of songs that will end up being "Your new favorite song by Eminem" and then eventually there will be a day where the song "Kim" will annihilate your headphones and melt your brain. I honestly think that you're too good of a guy to want to listen to the entire track. He once performed it live purposely when he found out Kim was at the show. Kim tried to kill herself that night. This song is pretty much for his childhood best friend, Proof. Proof got so much hate on the streets for proudly being Eminem's friend and threw hands for him without ever giving a fuck about him being white. I wish we could really enter an era of no racism. Eminem and Dre would have never created magic if one of them had been racist and the whole world would never know what people can do when they look at content of the other's character and not the color of their skin
