Just went through "Alan Wake" (yeah, I'm pretty late with this). Heard this song on the radio while fighting the taken... What a dramatical moment! That thought might be getting old, but the storytelling is breathtaking there! I want to go through this stage fight with "Children of the elder god" playing again to see this supposedly horror game goes ridiculous with this raging hurricane of action! To listen to "The poet and the muse" again to see the mystery unfolds in front of the characters on their quest! And I want to fight the taken while listening to "War" so I can feel the desperation and recklessness of the character that's going to get through no matter the odds! It's some perfect harmony happening there! So thanks a lot to the band for these songs! Actually, I've been listening to the band for a while, so it's not the game that led me to it, but these songs are new to me and they will definitely play in my head for a few days! By the way, had no idea Poets of the fall can do that kind of powerful heavy-metal!
Same dude, i feel i'm too late, but this was in another level game i know since life is strange game. I mean the tv, the show was real acting not only game.
Just finished playing the first game for the very first time yesterday and this song is stuck in my head. Such a great game! I can't wait to play the sequel.
If you want more there are previous titles within the alan wake universe one game see play as alans alternate self the evil twin etc. , also CONTROL is a standalone game, but it takes places within the alan wake universe, but it's the source of everything, and there's dlc linked to alan wake.
Same here. I actually went back to the radio and replayed it from the beginning once I'd cleared out all the bad guys just so I could listen again undisturbed. This song was my gateway drug to Poets of the Fall. :-)
"Nightingale tried to make sense of the manuscript. It was disjointed and strange. He didn't understand half of it, but it all rang true, impossibly true. He took out his hip flask when he reached the page that described how he reached the page that made him take out his hip flask. It wasn't the booze that made his mind reel"
When I thought that I fought this war alone You were there by my side on the frontline the amount of people in my life that these lyrics apply to is insane. friends and family are enough to get you through this hell we call Life. keep pushing and never give up ♥
Yes, 11 years after, I'm back because of they just announced Alan Wake Remastered. I really love your music guys, I started to listening to you thank you to this game.
Если кто не знает, данная песня звучала в игре Alan Wake и сюжет клипа обыгрывает эту вселенную. Шикарная игра с шикарным саундреком. Очень ждем вторую часть)
This song was made for Alan Wake, it's on the main soundtrack and it plays on the radios in the game. If I'm correct, The Old Gods of Asgard is their other band that makes songs for video games, they were also in Alan Wake, portrayed as an old heavy metal band. They wrote "The Poet and The Muse" for the game as well.
Only just played Alan Wake this past month (Control pointed me in that direction), and I can't believe I missed that gem of a game! It was so damn good
Happy 13 year Anniversary Alan Wake, my mom got me into this game when it came out, and I loved it, I’m super excited for the chance to play the second one!!
I have said it many times to myself and others and I'll say it again. Alan Wake is possibly one of the best games I played, not only on the Xbox 360 but overall in my life time of playing games. I've played masterpieces such as Shenmue and The Last of Us, but this game's ideas were executed so well and so creatively. The atmosphere and graphics really immersed you into this dream world where you piece together the story, you as the writer making your own destiny. I found it really entertaining and enthralling that when I got to the end I wanted more, and I still want more now. Remedy are apparently in talks about a sequel and I really hope it happens! If Naughty Dog can do TLOUS2 then Remedy should have no problem making an awesome sequel to Alan Wake, the ending left too many unanswered questions....
Good chance Alan might be crossing over into the fog in DbD 👌🏾 I see this as a win honestly, with the way the first game was marketed and it was extremely underrated at that time and seeing the franchise grow over 10 years is extraordinary: especially the remaster version of the game that came out recently is amazing. Thank you Remedy, and listening to the song really hit me lol I still have my collector’s edition of the first game
Anyone who gets the chance to see them live TAKE IT! You will have no regrets! Marko´s voice is even more amazing live & the dynamic between the band is awesome! A must see!!!!
I kinda knew Alan Wake was a thing but never got invested until I started watching bits of the second game and was like, "Oh... oh we goda play this!" Fast forward about three days and I just finished it! So good! Its not just my obsession now, its up there with my favorite games of all time! Downloading the second one but probably will play through the first again on a harder difficulty. Also I KNOW I missed some pages T.T
I remember playing the first game and being so excited I couldnt put down the controller😂 I literally stayed up even though I had to go to work later, it was that good❤
that was actually the FIRST song of Poets of the Fall I heard... and yes, while playing first Alan Wake - I just stopped to listen to this song whole in a radio... It really HIT HARD first time I've heard it
This song came on while fighting the taken in that garage and there was a bunch of them. When you turn on the radio it plays at a normal volume but once it kicks up it fills the whole warehouse with these beautiful strings and vocals !!!
I finished both games last week and I am having feels about how much this band is involved with them. Never seen the like in any other game. It's beautiful.
Poets of the Fall has been involved with Remedy studios for a while now. Even Max Payne's soundtrack had one of their songs in it. It's not just Alan Wake.
I'm fortunate to be alive in this time when two beyond talented and creative forces - Remedy and Poets of Fall write their symphonies together! Looking forward to see you guys in Alan Wake 2!
One of the best things ever when you turn on a radio and this comes on just stunning I was blown away by it and because of this music why it is one of my favorite video games ever. This is why I play video games. I am in total awe of this. Fighting off enemies is a blast. Just stunning!
SuperHaloreach4ever I almost missed the radio and started fighting the taken and mid fight I noticed the radio. Fighting the taken while this song was playing in-game is now one of my most treasured gaming moments.
It's funny. The video is like the game but with really good graphics. Remedy sure did a great job to capture the atmosphere. Poets of the Fall, you rock! Just discovered you with AW2. The journey the band had with and without Sam Lake is insane.

Lyrics:
Do you remember standing on a broken field
White crippled wings beating the sky
The harbingers of war with their nature revealed
And our chances flowing by
If I can let the memory heal
I will remember you with me on that field
When I thought that I fought this war alone
You were there by my side on the front-line
When I thought that I fought without a cause
You gave me a reason to try
Turn the page I need to see something new
For now my innocence is torn
We cannot linger on this stunted view
Like rabid dogs of war
I will let the memory heal
I will remember you with me on that field
When I thought that I fought this war alone
You were there by my side on the front-line
And we fought to believe the impossible
When I thought that I fought this war alone
We were one with our destinies entwined
When I thought that I fought without a cause
You gave me the reason why
With no-one wearing their real face
It's a whiteout of emotion
And I've only got my brittle bones to break the fall
When the love in letters fade
It's like moving in slow motion
And we're already too late if we arrive at all
And then we're caught up in the arms race
An involuntary addiction
And we're shedding every value our mothers taught
So will you please show me your real face
Draw the line in the horizon
Cos I only need your name to call the reasons why I fought
When I thought that I fought this war alone...
Thank you!!!

1:49 Love this part of the clip, the sequence of cuts syncing with the beat, just awesome.
Is correct!

I'm here because they announced Alan Wake 2 at The Games Award! I'm so excited to play that game!
First played this a decade ago. One of the best games I've played.
I'm so happy for the return of Alan wake in the sequel man, it has been a full decade since I played i'm crying so hard 😭 truly a masterpiece...
@@clxwncrxwn Are you referring to Alan Wake's American Nightmare?
I have heard of Control, I'll definitely play it.
When I heard this playing on one of the radios in Alan Wake, I put down my controller, and cranked my TV's volume. Sooooo good!!!
Same here. I actually went back to the radio and replayed it from the beginning once I'd cleared out all the bad guys just so I could listen again undisturbed. This song was my gateway drug to Poets of the Fall. :-)
"... i will remember you with me on that field."
Oh my... The shivers are real.
This song relieves pain during these difficult times.
Я очень вас сильно люблю!
У вас нет перевеса в музыке или вокале, всё настолько гармонично, что каждый раз вызывает желание подпевать.
Спасибо вам)
Да, молодечики
"Nightingale tried to make sense of the manuscript. It was disjointed and strange. He didn't understand half of it, but it all rang true, impossibly true.
He took out his hip flask when he reached the page that described how he reached the page that made him take out his hip flask.
It wasn't the booze that made his mind reel"
this is one of the most beautiful song i ever heard and after 7 years, I still love it
Me too
Just try potf all songs , I bet you'll change the view
И вот я вновь здесь, после 13 лет ожидания второй части, которая наконец вышла. После стольких лет? Всегда!
Let the story be known....much ❤️“ Alan.
Thanks to Alan Wake I could know of this amazing band !!! REALLY appreciated !!!
alan wake fılm ? :(
Warzone Maceraları The game
I have Alan Wake to indirectly thank for leading me here. My friend played Alan Wake and showed me Poets of the Fall.
@TumTuned also he should play Quantum Break. WOWZER
exactly
Keep figthing, Mr Wake we are with you figthing by your side.
Вы не один
POTF is too underrated, they are the best.
I'm playing the game for the first time ever. This song is going into my favourites.
Alan Wake's music is magical, timeless and so beautiful! His Old Gods of Asgard Poet and the Muse is one of my favorites!!
When I thought that I fought this war alone
You were there by my side on the frontline
the amount of people in my life that these lyrics apply to is insane. friends and family are enough to get you through this hell we call Life. keep pushing and never give up ♥
Yes, 11 years after, I'm back because of they just announced Alan Wake Remastered. I really love your music guys, I started to listening to you thank you to this game.
I play this song, take me here again and again, its not a loop, its a spiral..
I hear this song and every time tears come to my eyes. I'm waiting for the same masterpiece in the second part of Alan Wake!❤
@@brockbond2835 yes, my friend. You're absolutely right
@@brockbond2835 yep, they also wrote "Children of the Elder God" from that cool stage scene :) and "Balance slays the Demon" from American Nightmare😉
даа, поскорей бы вторую часть)
ждем октябрь
Only just played Alan Wake this past month (Control pointed me in that direction), and I can't believe I missed that gem of a game! It was so damn good
Still such a great song in 2022! ❤❤
Welcome back Alan! We missed you! 🤘
Great to have you back Alan once again, there's hope after all.
the actor is just great!
Happy 13 year Anniversary Alan Wake, my mom got me into this game when it came out, and I loved it, I’m super excited for the chance to play the second one!!
Even after all these years I still love their songs.
Old School Memories keep bringing you back those Shining Nights & Dark days .
How time flies! 12 years have passed since this Masterpiece has been released, God bless POTF, Big fan from Egypt
I just thought, what a handsome guy in the video... and he can sing too! Too bad he's 12 years older now, haha!
Alan 13 years later : "It's not a loop, it's a spiral"
Good chance Alan might be crossing over into the fog in DbD 👌🏾
I see this as a win honestly, with the way the first game was marketed and it was extremely underrated at that time and seeing the franchise grow over 10 years is extraordinary: especially the remaster version of the game that came out recently is amazing.
Thank you Remedy, and listening to the song really hit me lol I still have my collector’s edition of the first game
If the rumours of a remake are true. I can’t wait to blast this song in the game again.
Edit: ITS TRUE!!!!
WEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CANT WAIT! LETS GO
It is well and truly coming and to be perfectly honest I have never been this fucking erect in my life
isnt it a remaster tho
😭😭😭
Ever since they announced the Remaster this has been playing in my head so I had to come back.
It really HIT HARD first time I've heard it
Remedy knows How to make you feel dark, delusional, desperate, foggy about your life with their gaming atmospher.
They don't sing, they shows us thing , which our naked eyes can't see
Hope you can understand 🙏
Finally getting a new Alan Wake, I've waited more than a decade for this! Live on Wake
Alan Wake one of the best games i play
This is even better than i remember. alan wake was like a vivid dream... i can't quite remember it but it's also very clear.
@@PalashaGabarra yeah I got Max Payne on steam the other day it's super cool
I'm fortunate to be alive in this time when two beyond talented and creative forces - Remedy and Poets of Fall write their symphonies together!
Looking forward to see you guys in Alan Wake 2!
One of the best things ever when you turn on a radio and this comes on just stunning I was blown away by it and because of this music why it is one of my favorite video games ever. This is why I play video games. I am in total awe of this. Fighting off enemies is a blast.
Just stunning!
Just waiting on the lord to bless us with Alan Wake 2 and another masterpiece soundtrack.
+ASaiyanNamedMalcolm Well Good news Sam Lake just said after Quantum Break there going to start on Alan Wake2 looks like the Lord heard are prayers :)
+JayDee284 I read that article let's just say it woke me up from my sleep
+ASaiyanNamedMalcolm Alan Wake 2 confirmed after Quantum Break by Sam Lake on an interview with Gameinformer.
+Dionicio Castillo I know I read it! LET'S FUCKING GOOOO!!!!!
ASaiyanNamedMalcolm Awww Yeahh!!!
Absolutely hyped for PotF coming back for the sequel
When I first heard this song on the radio in Alan Wake I had to stop and listen to the whole thing
SuperHaloreach4ever I almost missed the radio and started fighting the taken and mid fight I noticed the radio. Fighting the taken while this song was playing in-game is now one of my most treasured gaming moments.
I do it everytime I play the game
same. those radios. and twilight zone type episodes spread everywhere in the dark were awesome. and gave a brief reprieve from the darkness outside
Did the same thing
@@trueprideamvs5572Is it just in the special editions of the game? Or is it in the regular?
It's funny. The video is like the game but with really good graphics. Remedy sure did a great job to capture the atmosphere.
Poets of the Fall, you rock! Just discovered you with AW2. The journey the band had with and without Sam Lake is insane.
One of the greattest stories in any game.. With an incredible music
Really the help of Alice prove that Alan is not alone in this fight, it concret in Alan Wake 2
Just played through Alan Wake again. Who else has played it in 2019?
Play through it every year, game still holds up on pc
Just getting ready to play it again after many years....so excited!
Beat it first time this year. No regreats, the game is awesome. Funny thing that i already knew this band before listening to this song on Alan wake.
Playing it now for the first time in my life :)
I got it on Epic Games some time ago. It was so good that I bought American Nightmare. Any tips on how to live after that amount of sadness?
Впервые услышал в "Макс пэйн" Late goodbay. После все рингтоны ваши. Люди спрашивают, чья музыка, я не говорю. Один буду наслаждаться вашим талантом!
Waiting on live action video for "Take Control".
