i remember the time my teacher punished my friends and i for talking when we were supposed to be paying attention by making us do both leg on chairs split stretch for 10 minutes…my legs were shaking at 7 minutes😭😭😭
@@Kamila-eb9pzexactly like they should push the person into a split more but not until they have sharp pain.. they should only push them to stretching pain they don’t understand that forcing it with bad pain can tear muscles, ligaments, tendons, etc..

Hi tatiana! I am a gymnast from India.i joined the sport two years ago. Can u give some tips to increase backbending, hip flexibility and apparatus handling
Girl in blue…. 😬 I did gymnastics (not rhythmic), but I was/am naturally very flexible. No way I’d be touching the FLOOR with the level those chairs are. Mine were like the girl’s in the gray t-shirt.
I do rhythmic (lvl 6), and yes i am like the girl in blue i aint that flexible BUT WHY TF WHEN I USE CHAIRS I WOULD AUTOMATICALLY GO INTO THE DEEPEST SPLIT EVER
How I do it for 3 minutes but not between two chairs but with one where my front leg is on it I don‘t cry but think I‘m going to die from the pain so how can you do it for 10 minutes without crying
@@Soyasdiaries I do training with a Russian coach, and she will make us do over splits 10 minutes on 1 and a half foot blocks. She makes us lift our hands on 5 minutes. The other coaches make us do 5, and 1 minute arms up. I’m currently level 5 in the USA team, and yea
@@flexygirevik sorry if that sounded mean but I also do rg and when I was in level 5 their was a girl whose split was like 1mm from the ground, she wasn't very good at rg, she was in Xcel. everyone in Xcel knew how to do a split and could do, and did, this same exact overspilt routine. incase ur wondering Xcel and level 5 warm up together. Anyway, back to the point, none of the coaches let her do this till she could, do about a 1 inch overspilt on each leg and be able to touch, (this applied for everyone). she ended up quiting and sadly I never saw her do a split. anyways I am just trying to say no, maybe you shouldn't do this until you get a tiny overspilt and touch, that is just what proffesional coaches said to the girl, also as I said not trying to be rude but also not trying to start an argument...(:
@@Hola-me Thank you for the informative response! I have gotten my splits since writing that first comment, and I just recently reached a little over-split touch town a few weeks ago. I can’t imagine taking it this far! Haha.
how do u keep from injuring ur knees tho? like im flexible but if i try to oversplit too much it just hyperextends my knees and i dont want them to get injured
As a rythmic gymnast, yes it does hurt for like a week after but your are supposed to stretch consistently so if you stretch one day and the next day you can barely walk, you still have to stretch, if it is very bad start with really simple stretching and than move on to the hard stuff your were doing yesterday. After a while of stretching even when sore, it stops being as sore

Howwww
The girl is the blue is like "You call this a stretch?!?!"
i just try it and i can do oversplits better, im so happy !! thank you 💗

She is not keeping her knee on the chair that’s why.

This is actually horrible for your joints. Please do this if you don’t want to be able to walk by the age of 60 or dislocate your hip joints.
That‘s not true I do it too and I‘m fine
If you’re crying or shaking, it’s too much.
i hate gymnastics bc i broke my leg.
