Post Review: “Magic Roses” by Jenoviya Art (Diamond Art Club)

- “Magic Roses” by Jenoviya Art and Diamond Art Club (DAC), with 135,946 square diamonds, and 62 colors, including 3 ABs, 2 Fairy Dust, and 1 "Speical" (Quad Cube) diamonds on a 65 x 130 cm canvas (or 25.6 x 51.2”). It took me at least 126 hours to complete (possibly more, as my time tracking isn't exact).
This has been a HUGE undertaking of a canvas to complete, and I was very excited to finally have her completed and be able to share the entire canvas, with every single drill with you.

I don't know if I could handle a canvas in this size... so big. But so gorgeous🌹
It is gigantic!!! Definitely a challenge for me. But it also feels like a huge accomplishment and is so pretty all done. I’m glad I did it. Thanks again

WOW!!! It is gorgeous!!! Thank you for the in-depth review. It’s just amazing to me how I can see paintings on the website and not really be into it until I see it done. The colors are so bright and vibrant. This one definitely deserves to be hung up after all the work you put into it. I love flowers. Can’t wait to see the autumn one, I like oranges also, I know it will be beautiful. I’m a single placer and I finished Winter Solace, which wasn’t as big as this one, and it took me 3 months to finish it. I bought a frame for it and it’s hanging above my fireplace in the living room so I can enjoy it every day. It’s amazing how you can look at diamond painting from a short distance and it looks like a painting until you get up close. My next big one that I’m going to do is Red Rocks #5 by Andy Russell. I wish DAC would come out with more from him. I love how he paints trees and bushes with a bubbly affect. He has beautiful art worthy of hanging up. Have a great day. 😺
Wow! Those look like beautiful paintings!!! I don’t think I could single place huge paintings like that. I have to multi place: make more progress faster and it keeps it interesting to me. But to single place pieces like those is a HUGE accomplishment!
I always think DAC’s canvases look amazing without drills, but then you add the drills and the colors just pop and it looks absolutely incredible!!!! I think that’s probably why we all love diamond painting so much

It turned out absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations on getting it completed. I do like these post reviews, probably more then unboxings. Unboxings seem so positive, since everything is still so abstract. It's not until you get into the nitty gritty that you find the good and bad. I am glad you persevered. Is the artdot canvas maybe one of the quick wins before the next large one, maybe, possibly?

And haha 🤣 yes! The ARTDOT one was one of the quick ones before the big one. It’s actually done and I need to do the review which I’m trying to make a bit “different”. We shall see how it turns out

I’m the one who told you I have this is my stash 😂Bravo on completing it! Take a bow! It’s stunning and your rows are so straight! You have every reason to brag about this!!! A month is super quick! It’s a shame about the trash drills. Shame on DAC for allowing that especially when they make their own drills, there’s no excuse for it. I am currently working on a 225 color Josephine Wall so it will be awhile before I kit up Magic Roses. But I always keep a smaller painting going at the same time to take a breather from the intense concentration that the JWall requires. Speaking of numbers, this kit is 90x73 cm and the canvas is divided into 1”x1” squares. Each square holds 100 drills. How many is that in total? I figure about 680,000 but I am bad at math, plus it feels more like 680 million 😅😂
But congrats on this major accomplishment! It turned out simply stunning! 🎉
(PS how do we know DAC really makes their drills in house? Has anyone been there to see it? They could tell us anything…😖)

I’ve gotten a few JWalls that DAC produced but haven’t done them yet. I’ve kind of wanted to try one of those companies that has 200+ colors, but then I don’t know if I would like that because it would be so confetti heavy/intense. And that sounds like a HUGE canvas!!!
My next kit is big too so I’m going to have to kit up something small to work in with it, but for now I think I’ll just go until I need a break. Luckily, so far, the drills on this kit have been a lot better!! Hopefully it continues to be that way. It just really takes the fun out of it when you have to pick and pick and pick those bad ones out and actually give up. That’s what happened on “Astronomer” and why I’m only very slowly and gradually completing it.

@@Rubies_And_Moonstones I recommend Diamond Painting Deutschland if you are going to try a Josephine Wall max color kit. But it’s a real time commitment and it’s 100% confetti. Luckily I love confetti! It will be awhile until I kit up Magic Roses because after my J Wall it will be time for the Chuck-A-Long and I’ll be kitting up a Chuck Pinson. Then it’ll be Halloween and Christmas. I sort of see Magic Roses for next year. But I’ll definitely let you know!
PS I had Astronomer on my wish list but will remove it if it’s a lot of trash. We have similar tastes in paintings! I don’t think many people jumped on Magic Roses 🌹
@@DiamondsandDobermans sadly I don’t think many jumped on magic roses either, likely due to the size. But side doesn’t intimidate me. I like some confetti but not too much. I’d also hope that any astronomer kit you’d get now would have better quality drills. I think mine was from the original release and had been sitting on the shelf a long time. I can tell some of the drills are older and stuff so that may be why it’s so bad. They did send me some new ones but I asked for 3 colors, and 2 are the exact same shade (although marked 2 different colors, they aren’t) and the 3rd isn’t much better. But it’s still a gorgeous painting! You’ll have to see my progress in my quarterly review in July. It’s actually making me more excited to finish it
