Hi Gretchen, I always listen to WIP 'n' Chats right through to the end. I don't enter into giveaways or anything like that because I live in Australia and the postage is so expensive. If a package is being sent, then usually the postage costs more than what is in the package and if it is a gift certificate to a company once again that amount doesn't exchange across to us as very much. I feel it isn't fair of me to enter because it is so expensive for you, especially when your channel is just starting. I'm like this with all channels, also I don't subscribe to channels for their free stuff or general giveaways, I subscribe because I find the creator interesting and/or fun. I really should get a candle for my workspace. I bet I would love those dresses! So jealous. I tried to sew a few when I was younger but they didn’t turn out too great (and not sure I even finished them) And thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoy my WIP and chats. Means the world to me.
I love to burn a pine scented candle cuz it smells so nice. That’s my favorite scent. Talk about dresses and things. My favorite time was the victorian era. Clothing, houses. I also like steampunk things

I don't burn a candle while I'm diamond painting because with my eyes I need a lot more light. I am new to your channel just found you a couple of weeks ago and enjoy your videos very much. I light a coffee scented candle when I'm working on my diamond painting. I tend to work on it at night, much too late to actually drink coffee, so the scent gives me a warm, cozy feeling.
@@towerjunkie19 I love coffee. Weird but I couldn’t drink it after having my daughter, but now after having my son, I can drink it again!!! Yay! Weird how our bodies change like that
The first painting I ever did which is a throwaway. Two reasons. Too small plus I used a wrong color several times and It shows. It’s a fantasy work of a castle in the clouds so maybe the odd colors aren’t too bad but I’m a perfectionist.
Sometimes I think mistakes are “happy mistakes” and no one else would even notice and it makes them look better. Other times they aren’t great mistakes… and I’m a perfectionist too but I’ve Been trying to learn to let that go a bit too, especially when it comes to working on these canvases, multi placing etc. it all looks okay in the end and I seem to be the only one who noticed errors
Wow, you are almost at a 1000 subs already! Congratulations! I am currently working on a smaller kit with orca 🦈 mom and baby, and my husband had a candle lit behind us, so it didn't seem to help. Maybe have a candle where you can see it might help...lol. I started sending you an email before, but than thought she doesn't need an email from me just to chit chat. I'll try to dig it back out, finish and send it.

👋… fun chat. I don’t like burning an actual candle. We had black marks from the ceilings along the top of ALL walls in the house over a period of time. We noticed that they were in a couple walk in closets too. Really weird. We had the painter that originally painted our home come & look at what we were talking about. He immediately said it was from burning candles. The soot was sectioned on the studs. I would burn yankee candles all the time. He said to burn SOY based candles to get around this problem. I especially love my Scentsy burners. Just the wax melts & I don’t have to worry about a flame 🔥 either. SO, that’s what I have in my house. Does your Mom Diamond paint? I haven’t received a kit from DAC with the new kit. I purchased 3 of the small dazzlers… and they will be my first. I wasn’t a fan of the cover minders. I think I had 20 of the macaroons!! They are ugly! 😅 I have bought a lot of cover minders from shops on Etsy that are gorgeous. Nice hefty ones. I mainly use them as pretty accents to enjoy while DPing. I’m a booshy washi tape gal. 😅 Love Washi tape from “Simply Gilded”. A shop based out of TX. It’s super nice & sticks really really well. ❤ I won’t miss DAC’s washi tape. I placed an order with Amazon yesterday & got some supplies to try & frame with the foam board. 👍 We shall see how it goes. I have the Richard Lorenz bird you’re going to start. It’s huge in length. Without you… I think that’s what it is called. So cool. I don’t have all his birds but love his style. Probably have 6 to still do. ✅ 🦀🐠🐬 Congrats on reaching 750 subscribers. Thank you so much for all of your comments! I prefer scentsy too because there’s no flame and the wax doesn’t get too hot so it wouldn’t burn little fingers that might get in by accident. Yes: my mom does diamond paint. I got her started around Christmas and it’s really fun to talk about with her. A lot of my RUclips ideas come from things I want to show her. I’m not going to miss a lot of the stuff in the new DAC kits either. They’ve got to make changes and I’m not one to complain (too much anyway). I will miss that large image of the original art. I really liked that. But I also really love their new trays. I obviously love Lorenz birds!! I have all but Agnus now, but have only completed 3, so I have a lot to do. I try to kit up one at a time when I make my plans and am trying to decide which to choose next. Thanks again for everything. This subscriber count is surreal. 🐳 I listen all the way through a video because I'd heard that the influencer doesn't get full credit for having a video watched unless the viewer watches till the very end. Do you know if that's true?
I don’t know if that’s completely true, but it’s partially true. I know RUclips tracks how much of our videos are watched, so the more that is watched the better. I don’t think it has to be the whole thing to count as a “view”, but it helps us get more credit, watch hours, and be more likely to show up for other people to watch if it shows people are watching all the way through. That’s all I KNOW. I’m very much still learning how all this RUclips stuff works. And I know I, and I’m sure every other person you watch REALLY appreciate that you watch all the way through our videos because you want to help our channels. That’s amazing and so kind of you
