Holy crab , gimme some knowledge please !! Wish i could have those ecperineces too. Im over 30y but absolutly rookie :( and flashed By the smooth rides in the Video
A lot of my old surfing mates have passed. In the era of digital video it's a gift that these people and their families and friends will see what they could do. All I have are memories, which is great but a few short videos would be gold.
This the first surf flick ive watched in 15yrs....THE MUSIC IN THIS WAS FANTASTIC!!!!!! SHIT MUSIC FOR SURF VIDS RUIN THE BEAUTY OF THE PHOTOGRAPHY AND THE RIDES. This music was great!!!!!
I'm 72 and I've surfed all my life since age 11. Longboard is my fave ~ I switch stance and carve it like these guys still. Learning Kitesurfing in North Carolina at present. Not much surfing around here. I lived i Hawaii Big Island 30 years and I've surfed Maui, Kauai, Oahu, Mexico. This is great because theres no voice just great music and the best surfers. Thanks ~
Love seeing the long boards here, I had a 7 1/2' Hobie board when I started surfing in 1966 I Southern California. Sticking your foot on the front end of the board was very exciting. No, they don't handle as well as the short boards of today, but that doesn't mean it wasn't as beautiful and exciting.
What do all these surfers have in common? A consciousness of arm, hand, knee and ankle positioning, and a sense of board position and flow. Making everything look smooth and graceful. Style.
Really inspiring. I haven't had a surf for over a year now what with covid and other crap getting in the way. Dying(not literally)to get surfing my old log again. A 3-4 foot clean, mellow right hand with light offshore breeze is what I,m dreaming of. This video is as close to it for now. Love the longboard footage.
Thank you Tatsuo, once again I was transported thoughtfully to my youth , when surfing in my several close breaks in front of Lima - Peru. God Bless you Bro....
Wind, water and wave. walking the log. style and passion will never go out of fashion.big boards and big rewards, thank you nobody! like the boards keep them vids loooong.
Thank you Mr Takei for such a beautiful fun movie of the art of really neat boards and the subtleties and differences in interesting riding styles here. And how you manage to throw in the refined art of Rob Machado's extremely hard core speed carving where he flies around the waves like a super hero with super natural powers, and yet somehow it works seamlessly, because of the Zen like flow to his style.
Hi 😉 trying toooo see you in the groove ...again later 🤙 ?? with left's if you want to pop in to see the Flickr photos from our index of barrels..#7 ok 🏝️🏜️
Was @#2 to see if you were on the breeze..no one..@#7 to see if there was a great time in the groove again..@wtf no groove.. Left's R#stillhere..@#tocu..
Man, great job guys! For me this was a symbiosis of my 25 years surfing, there was some footage from a couple of spots that had reminiscent conditions from my Cali visit. Awesome music, some upcoming stars with style and pose, and also some unexpected appearances from legends such as Joel Tudor and my own fellow goofy foot style guru Rob Machado, I have just been diagnosed with a life changing back injury and at the moment I'm close to selling my boards, however this video gave me hope so thankyou.
Beautiful video. What surfing is all about -- healthy fun in partnership with the environment. Thanks for celebrating so many talented, stylish ladies. Where's Devon Howard surfing at 7:25?
Wow absolutely wow. Amazing production - angles / zoom/ music / cuts. A masterpiece. The sense of limiting our everyday world elements and focusing solely on the surfer riding the wave in an undisclosed location; creatively enjoyable.
I enjoyed this film ...Thanks for putting on RUclips .... There are some amazing surfers on it ! Some I've been watching for years ..Some I've seen in the water . I saw Jen Smith at MALIBU once and I thought " that gal is hands down the best surfer in the water " ....
I was learning for a couple years , didn't get even close to ride waves like the people in then video, but for sure was a lot of fun!!! Sometimes I would go behind the brake and just seat there lessening to the waves!!! and looking at the water!!! so much fun, I really need to get a job a place to live in , and definitely get back in to learning surfing.
Nice video! I grew up surfing around Ventura country and Santa Barbara County areas. I moved away and I didn't realize how much good therapy surfing was for me. I would love to move back. Too bad it doesn't say where these surfing places were at . Thanks again! 1968- 1990 .
@@prestonshores1235 hey friend, we're from Brazil. Right now it's soooo great to see that kind of surfing and just forget about the reality (laughts). I understand your opinion, but i think thats nice to see, so we can learn more about our boards you know. For a brazillian surfer this videos are amazing. And i'm sorry for my english lol. God bless you!!
It is just sooo nice to watch good peaceful and respectful surfing. Really do not like the Wham Bam Thank You Mam slash and burn competition surfing of today. Well done Tatsuo superb work.
I know I guy who started in his 20s after moving from a place far from the sea, and now he is a surfing instructor. He is not that good, but he knows the basics well enough to teach other people, probably better than someone who surfed their entire life and can't even remember how they learned it.
@@dan1e1473 thats great! Hi from south africa! i think @Yang Zhang must learn from this guy! lol i am a boogie boarder, i live just over 30miles from the coast, go to the beach some weekends, lol my work keep me a few miles inland! Surf as a recreation and not a sport is what I feel from this delightful video. Thank you.
This is love, passion, and gifted eyes and pure talent to take these footage, the riders are out of this world. Just pure love and magic!!!!!

Can't wait to get my new board out in the water in a few months, when the Santa Cruz water warms up a tad and the south swells start to roll in.

Surfing in harmony with OMO rather than trying to destroy the wave. And not a contest vest to be seen. Nice job folks.
Right?!?!?!? So much of what passes for surfing these days more closely resembles gymnastics.
XLnt! & a fine tunes surplus
Nice & beautiful
