When short boards first were available..like in 1978 when I got a Clyde Beatty Rocketfish twinner, I put my Bing and Velzy's away in the rafters of the garage and went short boards all the way..then, in l993 I married my beautiful surfer girl from the Palisades, Cathy Henderson and since she was the consumate longboarder I got mine out..had some new ones made..and again enjoyed my long boards with her..we traveled a lot..lived in Malibu..I'm 77 now, she went on to the next world 10 years ago..I'm thankful for all the years we had together and all the waves we rode together..she was a good surfer..tall, thin blonde and athletic..I miss those days I surely do.
