I bought an 08 Armada in late 07. I did a year-long tour in Iraq and decided to do something to make it sound right when I returned so I did the tried-and-true 2 chamber Flowmasters. The shop just cut the dual-in, single-out muffler off, sandwiched the two mufflers in placed with two tips coming down behind the rear wheel. Got lots of compliments and it wasn't overly loud (I had 3 small kids and a wife that thought my hotrod should be the only noise maker). To me, that was the perfect sound for the 5.6 with no mods on a family cruiser. Loved it.
Truck is a DOHC so not gunna have that Chevy rumble. Can be solved with some resonators. Honestly camming it would help a good bit with the restrictive stock valve set up
I just had a 7 hour job installing long tube headers on my armada today and it sounds very similar too this but louder obviously haha I love it but I know my neighbors don't so I'll probably get some flowmaster super 10s bc I also don't have cats like this truck and he also doesn't have longtubes
So I have an 05 that I bought and it has the rear cats deleted and flows to a 2 in/2 out muffler with duals out the back, it sounds alright but the drone in the cab is terrible at cruise speeds. Anyone got advice on how to mellow that out?
A guy on my street has one of these, think his is straight piped. Every time he starts it up and leaves I swear to god it's a muscle car, and im always shocked to see that that sweet sound comes from a nissan

You must mean 2007! Either way, sounds way too raspy for me. I don't like how high it sounds, I want a deep rumble personally
There's too many 90 degree bends and it's needs an h pipe or x pipe

I love straight pipes they sounds so good I had straight pipes on a Silverado truck once
Can’t go wrong with true duals he needs to put a cam in it to top it off but still without a cam sounds so nice

True dual straights never sound good. Needs an x pipe or a muffler to get rid of the clap
FOR ALL TITAN OWNERS: if you want to get rid of the card on spoke, get cajun B pipes!!! It’s the secret to get rid of that clap

More true duals. I'd never recommend that setup personally. Worse performance than with a crossover, bad tone, just loud.

Why? DOHC with VVT already flows more than a gm or Chrysler v8 truck motor in the 5-6L size range
