I tried to capture my day, but I missed a few moments. Hey, It depends on the area in Canada, If you're coming to Toronto Downtown, 1k is not at all enough for rent even for a single. There are options like a shared apartment or a midtown area etc. But you can get accommodation for 1K. Again for living expenses, it depends on how often you commute, your diet, and your living standards. Though it's possible to manage expenses in 1k. You can do it!!

Hi, I'm moving to Toronto soon as a software engineer too, could you give me some info on the housing cost (and the general day-to-day cost if possible) over there? Moving over with wife and kid so maybe 2-bedroom apartment is our go-to
Hey welcome buddy! Don't want to scare you but rent is on fire these days. Let's take the scenario depending on your location and the type of apartment you're interested in.
- If you're coming downtown, 2bhk MODERN appt. will cost you 2400$ Plus not less. (My apartment's rent is 2900$ + water and electricity). A little not modern like houses- will cost you a little less. Start looking into kijiji Canada, and place your bids there. Believe me, it's another kind of effort, but you'll get it. Toronto download is not cheap but yes 500-600$/monthly is fine for groceries. Pick up a good amount of medicines and health care things before coming, because here it's not good. See you soon!! :)

@@kristoffampong8774 Hey Kris, rates are now revised already, 2bhk in Toronto Downtown, is not less than 2800$+. Yes, 5k in hand is required to survive if you're two for a single person, you can opt for 1+den kinda appt. will come under 2k$.
