Aaayy thanks Daniel! Means a lot hearing that! So appreciate you watching and for the support. And yup just pinned it 😊✨
@@itsConnorCreates thank you so much man your my favorite person and you always make me smile 😊
@@danielvalsyuk5907 ur not alone....
this is so sweet 😭
You might want to remove the base of the flower, the stalks and the sometimes the middle part part of the leaves. Those are the bitter parts which have the "milk" in the middle, or pick them from a shady spot. You can also make wine from the flowers and a coffee type drink from the roots!
Okay great, good to know thanks!
True. And also pick the dandelions from a clear area so you’re not eating pollutants from some car 😂 obviously y’all know that but just be careful
Also be careful, some have thick latex that may outright kill
That "milk" is actually latex :D
Wow so interesting! ❤
As a vegetarian, dandelions are actually a pretty important part of my diet. So easy to grow and very versatile!
Awesome, love that! So true
Im also vegetarian 😂 ❤
@@thepatriot47cringe. Go eat steak
My father has a really old recipe book from our Native American relatives and dandelion tea is in it.
Awesome! I should try making tea with it next time 🙌
Wait you have Amerindian relatives, cool ❤
@@thepatriot47 yes I do I am actually a high percentage Native myself but was born off reservation.
@@itsConnorCreates remove the stem and leaves as they are very bitter!
Where can I buy that book 😮
During the pandemic my family got really into jelly/jam making. You can make dandelion jelly! You make a tea with the flowers and turn the tea into jelly. It’s really good :D
Woah amazing! Had no idea, definitely gotta try that next year! 🙌🏻
He seem like the most friendliest calmest person ever
😄🙌🏻 I especially am when enjoying dandelion salad haha!
@@itsConnorCreates cool
Dandelion leaves are fantastic but I’ve never thought about eating the flowers!
The full salad experience when they come together 🙌

I heard from a tik tok (so take with a grain of salt) that supposedly they also can support cardiovascular health as well. I've heard dandelion tea with honey is very good! Just be careful that when you go foraging, they haven't been sprayed with herbicides.
Ooh nice, I should try making tea next! Yes good call 🙌
Are you Skylar white yo?
Ahhh in my country (Slovenia) dandelion salad is one of our traditional foods and we forage it and eat it every spring ☺️ We love to eat it with warm boiled potatoes that are chopped up and dressed with pumpkin seed oil (also amazing, nutritious and very traditional) and local apple cider vinegar! Soo yumm
Woah awesome! That sounds so good! Thanks for the info Klara! 😊🙌
I have all those ingredients even the delicious pumpkin seed oil but never thought to combine them in this way thank you for sharing this tradition.
They were brought over by europeans to help them survive, you can also make tea from the roots
Woah awesome! Didn’t know that!
You should try dandelion jelly its amazing
Woah that sounds great! Will have to try making it next year 🙌🏻
I drink the tea but now I've gotta try the salad...❤❤❤
Yes 10/10 recommend
Roast the roots and then boil. Roasted dandelion root tea is pretty good coffee alternative, and also is a good medicinal if you need a diuretic. The flowers probably would be good fried too.
Okay awesome thanks for the info! Will have to try that out next year
I love all the suggestions in the comments!
Ya there’s so many new recipes and uses for dandelions I want to try next season 🙌🏻
You can make tea from the roots.
And if you have Rabbits or Degus you can even share that meal with them 🌻
Haha yes so true!
almost a year later and you just made dandelion fritters, tea and pesto!!! ❤️
Yup!! Haha full circle moment!
You can also brew dandelion "beer" with the flowers 😊
WHAT!? I had no idea that was a thing! So awesome! I gotta try that next! 🍻
@Connor Creates I think it's similar to traditional ginger beer, so the alcohol level is very very low. But it's fun anyway!
Btw the bg hills in the beginning are really beautiful 😍
Yea thankful to live in such a beauty place!
Looks delicious
Can confirm it was!
You may want to pick them early in the season and before they bloom. Seems they might be less bitter then. Very healthy tho
Good idea thanks! Will do that next year/season for sure 😄🙌🏻
Bro, I think you should eat them before they flower, when they just grow leaf, but not flower body. On early spring. You can also add it to foods
Bro i need to come a live with you. U are so awesome 👌
Thanks! 😊🍻
Remove the green part brother it will take away the bitterness 👍
Okay awesome thanks for the tip Trina! 🙌😊
Try it with bacon garlic, salt pepper olive oil and red wine vinegar!!
Ooh that sounds great! Thanks for the suggestion
Dandelions taste good
I was surprised actually by how decent they were!
@@itsConnorCreates yeah there pretty good but I have something you can try if you haven't if you can find a mulberry tree you should try them there really good they look a bit like black berries just be careful if you do bc last time I ate them the tree had a virus and gave me food poisoning but if you find a healthy tree mulberries are really good c:
Deep fried dandelions are delicious!!
Oohh I gotta try that! Anything deep fried is usually great haha
Guys Just make sure you wash them!!
Yes true 🧼
Me allergic to dandelions:
How did you find out you were allergic to them?? 😆😳
That's a great way to get rid of invasive plants
Haha so true!
When I was little my dad made us spend like half a day collecting dandelions from our yard and than he made soup out of them I don’t remember it very much but I know it was infamously disgusting we still joke about it to this day
Haha love that! A great memorable thing to look back on and laugh about 😆🙌🏻
@@itsConnorCreates yeah! Btw I’m glad you stopped calling yourself not an artist my art teacher told the whole class at the beginning of the year never tell people your not an artist! Everyone is an artist deep down!!
Ayo man dass creative 😄
😊🙌
You should harvest burdock
I’ll have to look into that, never heard of that one before!
Only girls hate the fact someone could steal their flowers at their backyard for a salad.
😆 haha legit
Girls, not women
@@thepatriot47 exactly
Btw looks good
Can confirm it was pretty good!
Mmm A dandelion must be the last one of the season eerr
😆😂
@@itsConnorCreates where did you get the shureshot soom-s camera cus i cant find it on Amazon
Ok did the sloth (all jokes all jokes 😂)
What sloth? 🤷🏻♂️
@@itsConnorCreates he's seeing stuff 💀
I’ve seen people fry them and rhey claim it’s also delicious
Can confirm it was actually good!
Do u have more recipes
Got all sorts of recipes
What kinds would you want to see more of?
Uh. A dandelion, Ice age
😆🙌
Just have sure it's somewhere that pesticides are not applied.
Yes good call!
Must be the last one of the season
Ya true! Got my salad in just in the nick of time
Make sure no dog was there first haha
Haha yes true, an important step in the process 😆🙌🏻
I have a question! Did the salad act like a diuretic or is it only the dandelion tea?
So far so good, haven’t peed the bed haha so 🤷🏻♂️
@@itsConnorCreates 💀
Little did you know it has roundup on it
☠️😬
Extra protein tho?
@@itsConnorCreates whats wrong with roundup?
@@thepatriot47Roundup is poisonous! It's a spray weed killer in the US 🇺🇸. Its widely used to kill dandelions because they are so envasive in the Spring. Once the yellow flower leaves and they bloom with the white seed flower the wind blows the seeds everywhere!! I remember my grandmother fixing salad, making tea and jelly with them. 🌼🍵🍽
Wash it good. Dogs really like peeing on/near dandelions for whatever reason. Idk 🤷 why.
True haha
Bro did you really just say that they have more protein than spinach? I bet that’s true but they both spinach and dandelions are not really famous for their protein content.
Valid haha but still more than spinach 😆🤷🏻♂️
Just not the dandies that grow by the street corner because you'll be eating the dogs toilet. Worth noting
Haha valid point!😆
I sure hope you washed them first ;-;
😆😅
Bitter
Not too bad when combined with the right ingredients 🤌🏻
But how do you clean them ? They full of insects and bacteria
Just wash them like lettuce 😄
Promo sm 🙏
😄🫡
Can't you get sued for copying someones art?!
Eh?
😆🤷🏻♂️
@Gavin van meter are you dense?
Guys Just make sure you wash them!!
What if I didn’t?😳
