Honestly shadow rider clayrex, ice rider clayrex, urshifu, flutter mane and miraidon needs an omega nerf going into gen 10 We need storm drain for ghost/fairy moves, urshifu shouldn’t hit through protect and A good electric terrain setter that isn’t a legendary

I honestly don’t think Rayquaza will be THAT bad. I can see it giving Sun teams a hard time because of Air Lock. That would allow you to weaken Koraidon while it is on field, and if Rayquaza is next to a flutter mane for example it will force it to either commit its Tera or protect. Not to mention this would also deny protosynthesis boost from opposing flutter manes and raging bolts too.
You know, knowing that Pokemon Legends Z-A is coming, I think everyone missed the hint towards it that was hidden in the Indigo Disk DLC. Out of all box art legendaries from gens 1-8, they didn't bring back Xerneas and Yveltal.
I think eternatus might be decent. It has good speed and HP with good moves. I think its biggest weakness is that it is slower than flutter mane, chien pao, and koraidon/miraidon. I believe it can work, but it won't be the best option.
In a general standpoint, I'd believe groudon is the superior sun setter than koraidon. While even if groudon wins the weather war against kyogre, you can still get Ice beam'd or still hurt with origin pulse, you still have so many pokemon you usually pair with groudon like flutter mane, raging bolt, etc. Koraidon on the other hand is faster than groudon and wins against kyogre even if you lose the weather war. Problem is Koraidon's typing puts it in danger against flutter mane and even worse, both flutter mane and koraidon tie in speed at 135 making it a VERY rough matchup while groudon doesn't have that problem.
I do think that rayquaza definitely has a niche of countering koraidon's sun, but that niche is so niche that unless you have a truly impenetrable strategy to get around EVERY counter then it won't work out. That's just how the cookie crumbles. Now eternatus is definitely worth looking at. Power herb meteor beam with tera poison sludge bomb and dynamax cannon counters every top picked pokemon in doubles right now save gholdengo. I've looked at the analytics and run the calcs. This is eternatus's time to shine

because its the thing he is good at i mean he is the best partner for the best trickroom sweeper calyrex ice rider i mean lunala best set is literally just trick room power herb wide guard even tho it has 97 speed and its probably because of new mon which has 130 base speed or more
@jhaydenjoecredo3761 If Palkia has 100 speed, then that means Trick Room is most certainly not a good moveset for it. Same goes to Lunala, who has a speed stat of 97. To set up Trick Room, it's better to use an already slow Pokémon like Farigiraf or Slowking, one that doesn't mind using a move with decreased priority and can often go first once Trick Room is active. If a fast Pokémon were trying to set Trick Room up, it would be wasting time doing that when it could be instead dishing out fast and hard damage. And once Trick Room is active, those fast Pokémon will be rendered vulnerable since they'll then be much later in the priority bracket. Lots of chances for Lunala to get destroyed by Shadow Ball or Crunch before it gets a chance to attack.

Not to mention after one speed drop, flutter can out speed and KO even calyrex shadow rider with shadow ball. (Koraidon and Miaidon fall under the same category).
7:14 why would anyone in the right mind make a Pokémon as fast as Palkia a Trick Room Pokémon? The logic there makes zero sense.
because its the thing he is good at
i mean he is the best partner for the best trickroom sweeper calyrex ice rider
i mean lunala best set is literally just trick room power herb wide guard even tho it has 97 speed
and its probably because of new mon which has 130 base speed or more
@jhaydenjoecredo3761 If Palkia has 100 speed, then that means Trick Room is most certainly not a good moveset for it.
@@trevorpacelli8056 yeah but no one uses SLOWBRO
and its not just all about damage
i mean follow me trickroom is annoying
or maybe fake out trickroom

@@LAIDDN24 No, I do play. And by the way, I said SlowKING, not SlowBRO. And just because nobody uses either of those Slowpoke evolutions doesn't mean they're bad. I've used Slowbro on a Trick Room team before and it's actually amazing at keeping itself and its partner alive with Regenerator, Trick Room, Slack Off, and Heal Pulse. It's all about thinking smarter, not harder.
@@trevorpacelli8056 yeah but still not knowing that lunala and palkia is more of trickroom sweeper is crazy
cause calyrex-ice and palkia is literally insane in swsh
i mean one of calyrex-shadow counter is literally lunala just because of wide guard
so lunala can play with calyrex well
What annoys me the most about the Calyrex forms isn’t the brokenness, it’s that they made the sweeper the ghost one and the defensive one ice. The worst defensive type in the game.
Electric terrain is not 50% boost anymore
3:48 Also, you're faster, so you can beat them how I once did in ORAS.
"Kyogre's a C-level Pokemon" hehe
pretty funny how after honolulu the ideas about groudon and kyogre have completely flipped

Koraidon is not s tier, its weakness to flutter mane is just too much
That's exactly what I was thinking I think it is low A or high B tier
yeah, its p much directly outclassed by groudon, being faster also means that you're more likely to lose the weather war funnily

Does he get the benefits that sun teams provide? No he does not. But he gets something arguably just as good…
Countering them. Hard. A slow kyogre turning off koraidon’s sun is a BIG deal, because suddenly all those protosynthesis paradox pokemon are sitting ducks and so is koraidon. Weather wars are back boys
Disagree on koraidon terapagos and lunala placements
It’s hilarious the Calyrex Shadow Rider is the best Pokémon in SV even though it has arguably the worst typing in the game
Who is even arguing that, the typing’s not great but worst is a massive stretch
@@cameronmyers5716 that’s why I said one of the worst, ghost/psychic is no bug/grass or but you can make an argument for it being a bottom 10/20 typing combo in the game

Some of these choices didn't age well. Kyoger's output is just obsurd and Tornadus support isnt that much of a cost, while Koraidon clowns on Groudon who gets no consistent moves. Meanwhile Palkia-O has the funny instant Crit button, making it B teir IMO. and he REALLY underestimated Zamazenta's Body Press shenanigans
Rayquaza is op and the bestest and i have won many a game with a swords dance rayquaza sweep

Xerneas is NOT allowed in Scarlet and Violet. Neither are Yveltal and Zygarde.

Why is everything a "he"? 🤔
Not everything has to be about gender😑
^Easy to say when you're the default
Most legendaries have completely masculine features. However I regard mons that are more feminine features like zacian and ogerpon as female. And I’m pretty sure lunala is straight up supposed to be a male evolution of cosmog even though it has no gender
