In a recent part of the Pokemon Anime, Dialga can just deage other Pokemon if it wanted to. It could turn a level 100 Pokemon to level 1 and devolve it which is rather insane.
@@samu-ell Well it was either an illusion or the Creation Trio had their power limited in some capacity, as they would've absolutely demolished the other legendaries if they were fighting at full power, not to mention that a direct attack from Rayquaza against Giratina almost did nothing at all except push it back.
Canonically, Mesprit Uxie and Axel are just a step below Dialga, Palkia and Giratina. They separated from Arceus right after the first three, and together represent Arceus' desire to create the universe, as well as the strength to maintain it. In fact, they're so powerful that they need to stay constantly asleep to maintain said universe. The Lake Trio we see are just astral projections from their real bodies, sleeping deep within the supernatural lakes in their caves.
In fact, all of the creation trios (those pixies included) were avatars in the pokemon world. They're literally concepts that gave any sort of logic and reality in the pokemon verse.
The lake trio is absolutely underrated here. Being able to erase the memories of someone, drain their emotions, or control their bodies is absolutely terrifying- not to mention that Azelf can also drain the will to move from someone's body. Even when you're talking about each of them individually, powers over certain aspects of the minds is pretty insane. And I know this is probably due to the individuality thing, but the fact that the three of them combined can match one of the creation trio does imply a lot of strength. Not to mention the fact that they have to sleep at the bottom of their respective lakes to keep the world in balance. I feel like they should at least be one tier higher.
Who the hell told you they match the power of the creation trio? They can only calm them down not match their powers.Still I also think they need to be higher on this list
@@princyipe-tv1eq they don’t match the power of a creation trio member definitely it’s just that their powers together can somehow calm down Dialga and Palkia and even create Red Chain to control them
_I think that Tao Trio should be ranked as Earth altering._ _Alder stated that Reshiram/Zekrom could destroy the world and it's implied that Kyurem caused an ice age._
Yeah the Tao Trio should've been ranked as Earth Altering. Resh and Zek were said to be able to burn the whole planet because of the absurd amount of energy their tails produce. Kyurem, which is just an empty shell, was already a match to them back in Gen5. Gen8's updated Dex entry mentions that his power is actually much bigger (and that it could freeze the whole world), so it's not like this is some outdated data from 10 years ago, the new info still supports it. Not to mention that Kyurem was stated to be the most powerful Dragon too (which is crazy, cuz Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina were around when Kyurem debuted). And by fusing with either one, he can add that power to his own and it's still not completed/at max power Really makes you wonder just how stupidly powerful the Original Dragon was
I always like remembering that giratina is literally keeping the world's balance in tact (begrudgingly) because it got put in a time-out by its dad. I get serious neglected big brother having to watch over his two spoiled little siblings vibes, especially when there's a whole ass movie of him being pissed off at the other two lmao
@@nobody5814 i havent watched the movies in for too long haha but the movie with darkrai also had the same thing with giritina trapped and palkia and dialga fighting.
So here is the issue, zekrom and reshiram have crazy destructive power but they also embody entire concepts such as justice and truth which puts them very high given the fact that embodying a concept would put them up there with life and death

Actually, there's a simpler way of explaining why Dialga/Palkia/Giratina are stat-wise weaker than Necrozma and Eternatus, and it is to simply accept that stats aren't canon, something Gen 7 went out of its way to demonstrate.
@@reido_dorito Made base Necrozma beat Lunala in a cutscene, despite Lunala having better stats pretty much across the board, a better ability, and a type advantage. And both abilities and types are definitely canon, which leaves stats as the only thing to be relegated as "purely game mechanic".
Ash haven’t captured any Legendary Pokémon. Just hoping for Ash to catch calyrex due to the fact that calyrex is one of the most overpowered Legendary Pokémon & calyrex is one of my favorite Legendary Pokémon, Ash is going to be an overpowered trainer after capturing calyrex, he is going to be champion for sure.
@@elfmonster1476 Wait just to check, do you mean how Necrozma beat Lunala in the anime or in the game? Cause the latter can just be explained by saying Nebby just evolved so had no idea how to really use her full potential.
This is way too late but a small reminder about Rayquaza: In it's BASE form, it folded BOTH primal kyogre & Groudon while in base, add mega and oh dear-
After oras, after sun and moon. It's one of those series where canon is so loose anything anyone makes up is now considered canon due to the limited canon we have, multiverse
13:14 Another thing for Regigigas slightly mentioned here, is that upon awakening, it takes a while for it to get into gear. This feat said here isn't even close to its full power, with its attack and speed HALVED upon first coming in, meaning that if it isn't awake for at least a couple minutes it's at half strength.
@@theadmiral4157 Yet it only takes Palkia to point at and say, "Stop right there criminal scum!" And that'll simply halt Necrozma in it's tracks. But if Arceus were to encounter Necrozma, all he would had to say is, "It's sad that Steve Jobs died from Ligma..." and just dissipate Necrozma out of existence with the "Ligma Balls" punchline
I think that legendaries can be in multiple places at once, giving the illusion that there are multiple. The “no special powers” and “niche powers” legends are basically minor gods or immortal nature spirits.
I mean yeah. Legendary pokemon are just the pantheon of the pokemon world. Looking at polytheistic mythologies throught hystory not all gods are equal. (See tv tropes our gods are different)
@@elfmonster1476 considering in many cultures the entities we in the west call "demigods" are realy just minor dieties in their own right... Demi literally means "half" referring to split parantage (my dog is a demipoodle) so unless zapdos is what hapens when a fearow and lightning incarnate have a baby, we're talking about the same thing here.
@@dallinmoody1297 I am aware. I consider stuff like Lugia and such to be minor gods. I don't consider something like Articuno to be a proper god, hence, demi.
The interesting part about Necrozma is that its true form essentially is/was a living star before the people got too greedy for more energy and broke it trying to harness more of it's energy for themselves, triggering the violent rampages across dimensions trying to fill its void and end its suffering. I suppose in a way it's a testament to the power of Solgaleo/Lunala that they provide it enough power to reignite itself if only temporarily.
Yup. Like I keep saying to many, *MANY* people, Necrozma is basically a superorganism that was exploited into becoming a cornered, starving creature. It's not some all-powerful cosmic being, it's still an animal at the end of the day.
Necrozma definitely isn't near the level of Arceus or even the creation trio. However, you still have to recognize the fact that in lore, Ultra Necrozma is responsible for essentially giving light to the entire multiverse, which would still put him pretty high up in the tier. Solgaleo and Lunala would be pretty high up as well for providing Necrozma with the light necessary to regain it's true form, Ultra Necrozma. .
yeah Necrozma is by far more powerful then Arceus easily, where Arcreus created one universe Necrozma destroyed multiple universes easily. Praise Necrozma.
Necrozma didn't destroy any universes. He simply stole the light from them. Also, both games and anime establish that Arceus created the multiverse, not just one universe.
He destroyed them by draining them of light and leaving them lifeless and dead, whereas Arceus has only been known to have created the Pokémon world not other realities and universes. I can maybe see them on par with one another, but Necrozma is definitely not weaker considering it’s a sentient star killer.
Please make the mythical pokémon list too! I love them so much and hate the fact that some of them are impossible to get legitimately nowadays and that they're so exclusive that they don't have as much lore in the games as the films Gen 6-8 mythicals deserved better!
In that case, is it possible to keep the tier "Unrealized Powers" and dedicate it to Phione? Think of Phione like poor man's Manaphy not just in terms of battle prowess, but lore-wise as well, especially since eggs bred in captivity by Manaphy or Phione (ditto required due to the celibacy despite the "masculine" traits) are Phione eggs and not Manaphy. Also, Phione lacks a certain trait, for the purposes of lore, that Manaphy has. (And yes, that one trait is the reason Manaphy should be considered niche.)
@@Pika250 Yes, it is hard to classify these mythicals especially because they have like zero lore in the games. I think he would have to rely on researches, Bulbapedia articles and Pokédex entries, but I think he gather enough information and make a cool video

Which Pokémon would destroy your team the fastest? 1: Ultra Necrozma, with a 200 power move that is capable of vaporizing the universe. or 2: one angery monke that got so angerey he turned into a ghost
The Tao Trio definitely should be in Earth Altering tier. I highly doubt that it being stated that they are capable of destroying the planet isn't just exaggeration or hyperbole. Because after N summoned Zekrom/Reshiram into his throne, by simply exerting their energy, the lightning/fire they produced generated enough power and heat to instantly vaporize the moat in N's Throne Room. That's around 25232°F or 14000°C of heat being produced.

Arceus - literal god Palkia - god of space Dialga - god of time Garatina - literal devil. There is no discussion about it. These are the top 4 strongest canonically.
@TheWill0fStrength Giratina is literally the embodiment of chaos. Controls gravity and can travel through dimensions Dialga controls the flow of time throughout the pokemon multiverse. Arcues is literally god created everything including Groudon Palkia helped create and maintain the multiverse and has the ability to create alternate realities
I have a theory: the Red Chain is actually effective against Dialga and Palkia, but ONLY in their origin forms. In DPPt, they are Altered, and in Legends Arceus it is used against the Altered form legendary before the Origin form appears. The Red Chain and Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf appear to be connected to Arceus, which further makes sense that it would work on the Origin forms that are more similar to Arceus/the forms Arceus originally made them in. But as they grew and changed to their Altered form, they lost that connection, hence the Red Chain losing its power
@@jatarokemuri5443 I certainly think so as most duos and trios have a pokemon strong enough to stop them if they went rogue so I would imagine that Giratina would be stronger even if just to balance out the other two.
Ho-Oh and Lugia should be with the other box legendaries. The subtle way their powers were explained was a product of their time. If they came out today, their fire and weather abilities would be emphasized.
What I love is that many of the Gen 1 Legendaries are towards the bottom (birds), the Legendary Beasts from Gen 2 are more towards the middle (alongside Ho-Oh and Lugia), Gen 3 has the trio even higher with earth-altering powers, and Gen 4 literally has the gods of the pokemon world. It's like the insane powercreep from these first four gens had to stop going forward, and the powerlevels became less "WORLD-ENDING THREAT" and more contained.
Regigigas is is actually top tier. In the manga giratina litterally trys to sneak attack and regigigas stops it by turning around grabbing him and just slamming him to the ground and then giratina runs away. (Theirs even a chance hes still in slow start but thats debatable) And while it still clearly hurt him he survived a simultaneous attack from plakia and dialga. Also in the movie when they have him fight hoopa he just tanks hoopas attacks and he has to teleport him away while reshiram and zekrom are clearly getting hurt. Hes deffinitely in the top echelon. The only problem i could see with this is if you dont accept the adventures manga as cannon but its been around since the beginning just like the anime and has had a continuouss plot following every single game. Its also pretty consistent so i would see no reason not too. It doesnt even contradict the games since he never gets a chance to do anything their.
I’m pretty sure the only things in continuity with the games are the games themselves. The anime is its own continuity, and so is Adventures, and so are the numerous other manga adaptations. One thing I will say is that I believe Adventures has been stated to be the closest to the original ideas for the games, so legendaries are probably closer to their canonical power levels than they are in other adaptations, but I’d still say to stick to the games when measuring how strong legendaries are in the game’s continuity.
I think Heatran is kinda underrated because it always gives off the vibe of an ancient creature that casually vibes on one of the most dangerous places you could be as an adventurer and meeting it means you ventured far beyond the reasonable traffic Route to challenge/catch a lavabathing metal monster that eats Onixes as appetizers. It's that sudden Dark Souls boss you meet in a secluded area and jumpscares you with it's healthbar
Hey, the Red Chain did exactly what it was supposed to do both times. In Legends, it made capturing Palkia/Dialga possible as implied by dialogue after the other appears, and its shards were able to create a pokeball that could contain and calm a raging god, so thats pretty decent. And in D/P, it worked perfectly. The only reason it failed is that the lake trio themselves showed up to destroy it, which, as demonstrated in Platinum, is the only thing that stopped Cyrus from controlling the creation duo perfectly.
Aside from Arceus, I’d actually say the next strongest Mythical Pokémon is probably Darkrai. While not having much to go off of in the core series games aside from whole Cresselia bit, as soon as you step into the spin-off canon (some of which can be tied into the core series), some of the things Darkrai can do are absolutely ridiculous. Just for some examples, it’s immune to the Shadow Crystal in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, which is known to be able to mind control all Pokémon within a 500 mile radius, it was the catalyst behind all of the chaos in Mystery Dungeon: Explorers, and it can literally mind wipe other Pokémon and enslave entire populations as seen in PokéPark 2.

The Tao Trio should for sure be earth altering, like you said their pillars of fire and electricity was said to have created the rivers in Unova which by definition is earth altering
The energy trio (yes I call them that because of the alchemy and their design/lore ties) are said in their Pokédex entries to be individually capable of destroying the entire world. Zekrom and Reshiram are insanely strong. Like the video points out it may be hyperbole but I doubt it in this case.
@ThunderfaaalMEMES nah, I think the original dragon would be on the universal threat tier with necrozma and eternitus. Lore wise, the creation trio would still be stronger, they're multiversal concepts in physical form.
Damn you for putting the Ultra Necrozma theme for the Universal Threats section. I missed what you said because I was vibin bro. Had to go back and rewatch
I can just imagine Groudon and Kyogre just like casually creating continents and Regigigas just casually putting on some ropes and dragging it across the world before going back to G&K to casually pick up another continent like how you pick up your Ubereats.
I would love to see a video like this, but with all legendaries, mythicals and ultra beasts. I feel darkrai would be quite high on the tier list given the events of the pokemon mystery dungeon series
16:00 isn't Zygarde literally prepared to deal with Necrozma? On the manga, where they actually fought, Zygarde was specifically asked to NOT KO Necrozma, as otherwise it would take Alola's light to power up again, and even holding back, it actually managed to hold Ultra Necrozma back with Thousand Waves, with the only reason for it being separated after taking a Photon Geyser being that no one with a Poké Ball came in time before Necrozma freed itself (and even then, Zygarde returned to the fight just a bit after without healing itself, so it might not even be truly KOed at that point, but more evading the attack)
@@attackcrash0787 the video obviously uses multiple sources since the games don't even give that much by themselves, just look at Mewtwo - besides, there's nothing really that indicates Necrozma or Eternatus are really on a level that Zygarde can't handle (even Eternatus is handled by Zacian + Zamazenta, who are multiple tiers lower, while Zygarde is supposed overwhelm even Xerneas or Yveltal
Afaik it was Zygarde with the light duo and again the point does hold that Necrozma wasn't at full power either since its source was not permanent. Even then it kind of one shotted Zygarde with Photon Geyser.
@@sageblast3143 at the end of the battle, it was Zygarde with the light duo - at the start where Zygarde trapped Necrozma and was asked to not KO it so that they could capture it, it was Zygarde alone. The Photon Geyser part was also kinda confusing - we have Moon who's a character with the literal gimmick of using medicines and was explicity shown healing Solgaleo, yet Zygarde came back out of nowhere without the help of any trainer, and before Necrozma even attacked back, it transformed into Complete, this time explicity saying it was via the Power Construct ability as it was weakened after the Photon Geyser (as it initially transformed into Complete on its own, before the battle even started)
Loved this video! Definitely think some picks between nice powers and exceptional powers could be debated, but it’s hard to figure out when non combat related powers are “better” than combat related powers. Also agree with the Zekrom and reshiram placement but we’ve never really seen much of what each individual is capable of the more I think about it. Hopefully legends kyurem or the gen 5 remakes fix this
With Lugia being my childhood favorite ledgy I’m quite pleased with its ranking since it was featured in one of the very first Pokémon movies. If it was introduced later in the franchise when unimaginable godlike powers were being given to various Pokémon I’m almost certain it would rank higher.
If you do mythicals I think it would be cool to overlay them onto this tier list to give more context to how they stack up to their less special brethren
Personally, I like Suicune the most since realistically, it seems like a nice place to be in terms of legendary status. It's still quite powerful and is generally friendly/useful to humans and other pokemon, since it can purify all water pollution. Suicune also doesn't have the pressure of being in charge of an entire planet or aspect like Time, Space, Light, Dark, etc. It can afford to relax and just travel the world and hang out with you while still being very impressive to normal beings. All the pokemon in higher categories seem like they'd never have time for friends or mortals, with perhaps Mewtwo being an exception since he was created _by_ humans, thus has no preordained obligations or ancient ties to the world like the other legendaries.
Suicune? Friendly to humans?????? I think you forgot it’s lore. Latios and latias are easily the most friendly to humans. Lugia would be in that convo too.
Definitely, *definitely* underrating Mesprit/Azelf/Uxie, they're stated in various places to be able to control people and manipulate them (Mespirt throws emotions into dissaray, Uxie can make you forget things, and Azelf is just super cruel). Eternatus is also not universe-level and is nowhere near Necrozma (making pokemon big and terrorizing a region is not UNIVERSAL level, whereas Necrozma literally travels to different universes like a plague).
@@thelastmlg2699 the lake trio are basically weaker versions of the creation trio so they should def be universal. Also the creation trio is a weaker version of themselves like the arceus we know.
Thoughts for a potential Mythical Tier List: Mew has to be high because its said that it was the building block of all Pokémon Victini has to be high because...well it's said to always win I guess? And Meloetta has to be high due to its ability to completely remove your willingness to fight with its music...which is actually incredibly busted when you really think about it.
Mew is just an ancestor of many species, doesnt mean it is superior in power compared to say Mewtwo. Victini always win, but they never said what’s the strongest creature it ever faced one on one I guess. Meloetta ability’s also could simply not work against more powerful beings like most abilities are. For example Dakrai cannot put rampaging Dialga and Palkia to sleep with his power and had to resort to fist fights instead.
Kinda was thinking Lugia should be higher considering a flap, A SINGLE FLAP, of its wing would result in damaging storms that last 40 days. Imagine if it actually wanted to cause harm.
Personally I get that since we are mortal beings the idea of time is extremely daunting, but if we are to think space in Pokémon exist for eternity palkia is always going to be stronger than dialga time because his domain transcends time for eternity. Anything dialga could do, like turn the world ten thousand years into the past or future, sure that would wipe out all of humankind and most likely normal mons, but that would just be a blip in palkia’s timeline.
You're confused I'm not 100% in what way, you might be conflating "space existing for time" into "space = time+" or something. But you're def confused. Ten thousand years is just a blip to palkia...? I - .... Y- .... Yea, it's a blip to dialga too..........? Dialga would move time and palkia wouldn't care much 'cuz it's old....? Okay, and palkia would warp space and dialga wouldn't care 'cuz time is different.............? Space existing over time does not mean palkia is stronger, it means both of those two pokemon exist. It exists over time BECAUSE of dialga. You're.... very confused. Or you were a year ago. You're taking the feature that IS diagla and ascribing it TO palkia AS the result of seeing the reality that only exists with both of them. You're terribly terribly confused. You're so confused that it woke me up out of going to sleep on time 'cuz I felt obligated to try to figure out wtf "because his domain transcends time for eternity" could mean

I completely agree.. ot been hinted that all this time every interpretation of arceus design is just an avatar.. In the movie it is explained with a apparatus of the cosmology that their own separate dimensions dwaft our by so much it like a Peeble.. the entire pokemon multiverse is like a Peeble compared to his own dimension which is infinitely larger.. the tro also have their own as well
Awesome. Just wished ho-oh to be ranked a bit higher, maybe at the level of kyurem or above regigigas because it's ability to regenerate itself and resurrect other pokemon making them legendary too is nothing to scoff at. As there was a theory that Entei, Raikou and suicune were normal mons but when ho-oh resurrected them, they became powerful legendaries.
So Zapdos's ability to create lightning bolts isn't destructive ? What about Articuno and it's blizzards ? This is all in their Pokedex entries. Also the swords of justice have a relationship with Kyurem in the movies and I think that should count. They imply that they've battled Kyurem before.
Articuno's blizzards are not really Earth-shaking threats cuz most of its dex entries talk about how the blizzards are only depending on the moisture of the air, and that its wings mostly create gentle snow and frost. Zapdos does create savage thunderstorms though, that could be more dangerous
@@some_shitposting_idiot3023 the specify lightning bolts, which every electric type is capable of. The person above stated savage thunderstorms which would make more sense for context. I would put Xerneas and Yveltal on earth altering tho, wiping out and creating life is no joke. Same as the tao trio, and i think I may put Mewto in special powers
My god yes, can people stop pretending that Mewtwo is close to being the ultimate being? Like, it may have been during the early gens but now it's only going on because Game Freaks know people love him and treat him as Charizard 2.0
Unfortunately magikarp is limited by the fact when it reaches a certain level of power it evolves into the much weaker gyaradous so it won't bring complete destruction upon the universe
@@suggestagoodname831 yes that’s true. Gyarados is weak, but given with the fact that if you let it hold a Gyaradosite & have a Key Stone it can mega evolve into Mega Gyarados causing just little destruction on the land.
That seems like vague wording, especially considering you find it in cocoon form in Pokémon Y, and the game isn’t just a flyover of a lifeless wasteland. The whole thing with those legendaries is that they give or take life from their surroundings upon entering their rest, so I think the Dex entry omitted the crucial words “in the vicinity”.
That's just hyperbole, Yveltal has absorbed life in the past, multiple times in fact, as in whenever its life-cycle is close to ending it absorbs life energy to resurrect in the future. What it most likely does is absorbing its *surroundings,* whatever plant, Pokémon or human is around.
@@Dexuz I love how it’s implied that the final stage in Yveltal’s life cycle before it reverts to a cocoon is the “%+@& everything in this general area” stage.
For Latios and Latias, you forgot about their ability to turn invisible at will and find hidden islands. Overall those 2 added abilities are both Niche so they would stay in the same tier, just higher up in the Niche Tier.
I really like this video, although I do think Xerneas and Yveltal should be in Earth Altering due to them being able to give life/take life from every living thing. Heatran should probably be a little higher as well since it can make Stark Mountain erupt, just not on the same level as Entei.
You could make an argument for the tapus moving up exceptional powers because of their shared Z move. I do understand that they need a trainer to access that power
Wait so Mewtwo is above Lugia and in the Earth altering tier...because it made a massive psychic STORM in the movie...which Lugia does every single time it FLAPS ITS WINGS. I feel like Lugia should be in Earth altering just for that. If it decides to fly around for a bit it can cause storms all over the world.
Mewtwo is one of the weaker legendaries tbh, bro got equally matched my mew while he was playing with Mewtwo, and has no feats that other legendaries can't replicate, I'd say he's in the exceptional power tier but at the bottom

Tbh Heatran and Cressilia can be scaled infinitely considering the loise canon Stuff like how Palkia and dialga somehow made the universe using Heatran acording to some biker And Cressilia can be argued for azothoth kinda powers.
If I remember correctly Eternatus is probably much more powerful than Necrozma, as the forms that are seen in Sword and Shield aren’t even its complete form
Necrozma can absorb light and eternatus emits endless energy If we go by canonicaly necrozma can absorb the light base attacks of eternatus and if eternatus emits so much energy that it turns to light you can assume that necrozma can win

Evidence? You can't just say Eternatus has another higher form. As far as I'm concerned the only reason it reached Eternamax form to begin with is because it feeds of the energy of some device or machine and that's it. About necrozma, Necrozma has way more impressive showings. I mean, Eternatus despite its size and portrayal in the games literally only threatens the Galar region. There's no info on whether or not is capable of wiping the earth let alone a dimension... so clearly Necrozma wins.
I'd say yveltal is at least Earth level, technically you can't kill him without dying too and it's very heavily implied that everything on Earth will die if he dies.... if you take into account the fact that he's the embodiment of death some would say he has infinite potential when it comes to power it just hasn't been shown yet
I’d say he is above earth level and below limitless in power. I would say that he effects all Pokémon except those in a different dimension or are higher dimensional beings. So dialga, giratinia, Paikia and Arceus as well of some others I may of forgot about wouldn’t die (don’t care if it’s 11 months old)
The platinum series pokemon legendary trio (plus arceus) imo might be hard to beat in terms of lore. Controller of time, space, and anti matter. Plus the creator of all pokemon. Pokemon should've ended when these guys were introduced 🤣
the tao trio combined would alter reality itself and kill the creation trio but it would be a hard fight infact it is slightly implied the orignal dragon came before arceus but was just asleep untill arceus woke it up and sent it to earth it is the failed god
@@ThunderfaaalMEMESin the story it explained that creation trio could reset the universe so there's no living thing in there including all legendary Pokemon, except arceus of course since arceus is the god. Crazy theory but Lugia is said to cause 40-day hurricanes. Maybe the reason Ho-oh is viewed with such awe and affection and as a rival to Lugia by humanity is because the first time Ho-oh was ever seen by humans was when it stopped one of Lugia's floods to save humanity. Not only that but Ho-oh bestowed luck on anyone that saw it, shone with a beautiful light, and also saved many people and Pokemon from death, the most iconic being the resurrection and empowerment of three canines (dogs or foxes honestly) after they had burned in a fire. Ho-oh stopped the Biblical/Sumerian/Greco-Roman/other world-ending Flood stories from mythology, but with Pokemon instead of Yahweh, and Ho-oh resurrected the Legendary Canines in a kinda similar way to how Yahweh empowered Enoch in the non-canonical Book of Enoch 😳
Since, according to the Pokedex, Reshiram is able to change the world's climate by just flaring up its tail, it should easily go up to the earth altering category.
Legendary is one of my favorite things about Pokemon so I agree with this. Quite sad how Game Freak/TPC really doesnt care about making them feel special. Exactly so. Really meaning beasts of legend, mythicals just limited more to stories and less real world witnessed events. Ultra beasts are weird because technically they'd just be normal pokemon from a completely different environment, but them arriving from separate worlds probably makes them unique enough to class it.
Some of these pokemon are specifically made to counter specific more powerful pokemon Like Cresselia being the only one that can reverse Darkrai's never ending nightmares or Zacian and Zamazenta having magically amped up weapons designed to counter the power of Eternatus.
I love them so much and hate the fact that some of them are impossible to get legitimately nowadays and that they're so exclusive that they don't have as much lore in the games as the films
Gen 6-8 mythicals deserved better!

But that doesn't explain how they got controlled literally in DP. Lets just say it has 50% chance to work lol.

They’re on the same tier it’s the Black and White box legendaries. Sounds about right.
Regigigas is underrated
I’m pretty sure the only things in continuity with the games are the games themselves. The anime is its own continuity, and so is Adventures, and so are the numerous other manga adaptations. One thing I will say is that I believe Adventures has been stated to be the closest to the original ideas for the games, so legendaries are probably closer to their canonical power levels than they are in other adaptations, but I’d still say to stick to the games when measuring how strong legendaries are in the game’s continuity.

Strongest mythical not counting arceus is definitely deoxys. He is commonly stated as a planetary threat.
The Tao Trio well designed all three have cool parts in the story and starring on my favorite gen all points in their favor.
The Tao Trio should for sure be earth altering, like you said their pillars of fire and electricity was said to have created the rivers in Unova which by definition is earth altering
agreed if they all fused together and made the orignal dragon they would be number 1 on the tier list
Had to go back and rewatch
that theme do be a bop
The Manga is its own Canon and has no bearing on the Games.
Oh wow, Zygarde actually did something in Alola in the manga! Another point for Aventures/Special!
Yea Lugia is powerful nonetheless.

Except the Suicune from the current anime lol
Suicune? Friendly to humans?????? I think you forgot it’s lore. Latios and latias are easily the most friendly to humans. Lugia would be in that convo too.

Eternatus is also not universe-level and is nowhere near Necrozma (making pokemon big and terrorizing a region is not UNIVERSAL level, whereas Necrozma literally travels to different universes like a plague).
The lake trio togheter are also equivelant one of the creatio trio members, that alone should put them on the godlike tier
@@thelastmlg2699 the lake trio are basically weaker versions of the creation trio so they should def be universal. Also the creation trio is a weaker version of themselves like the arceus we know.
Thoughts for a potential Mythical Tier List:
Mew has to be high because its said that it was the building block of all Pokémon
Victini has to be high because...well it's said to always win I guess?
And Meloetta has to be high due to its ability to completely remove your willingness to fight with its music...which is actually incredibly busted when you really think about it.
And then there is Hoopa who just Yolo’s around with any legendary because it feels like it
Keldeo from its movie has to be high for sure, taking on Kyurem and all of its formes
Victini always winning in battle has no bearing on its lore but its lore is why
celebi is a literal time traveler
Well, one rank up is Kyogre who can literally drown the world in days
@@NasTwicenot 40 days
Personally I get that since we are mortal beings the idea of time is extremely daunting, but if we are to think space in Pokémon exist for eternity palkia is always going to be stronger than dialga time because his domain transcends time for eternity. Anything dialga could do, like turn the world ten thousand years into the past or future, sure that would wipe out all of humankind and most likely normal mons, but that would just be a blip in palkia’s timeline.
You're confused
I'm not 100% in what way, you might be conflating "space existing for time" into "space = time+" or something.

Yveltal’s Y dex entry says it steals the life force of EVERY living thing, pretty sure that would be the whole world
That seems like vague wording, especially considering you find it in cocoon form in Pokémon Y, and the game isn’t just a flyover of a lifeless wasteland. The whole thing with those legendaries is that they give or take life from their surroundings upon entering their rest, so I think the Dex entry omitted the crucial words “in the vicinity”.
I mean, if it did do that, then how would there be anyone alive to pass down that knowledge? Or anyone alive at all for that matter?
@@Rybread52 Well it didn’t say it killed them.
That's just hyperbole, Yveltal has absorbed life in the past, multiple times in fact, as in whenever its life-cycle is close to ending it absorbs life energy to resurrect in the future.

I think that sort of balancing in the canon is really cool
Funny how a couple of stage 1 Pokemon canonically claps all these chumps
My Favorite Legendary Pokémon is eternatus which is a Poison/Dragon Type Legendary Pokémon & eternatus is The Third Legendary Dragon of Gen 8. This Legendary Pokémon Have Amazing Powers & An Awesome Design, it’s a freaking SKELETON DRAGON Turning into A Thousand Headed Dragon with Thousand Hands Like Heads and CAPABLE OF Warping Time & Space. Just Hoping For The Gen 9 Third Legendary Pokémon To Be a Dragon Type Legendary Pokémon.
The fact that creselia is in this list and darkrai is not bugs the hell out of me
No darkrai or deoxys makes me mad fr lol
I guess we dont know what a legendary pokemon is in here? Or a mythical?
@@danyaala9104 who cares man if you’re doing legendaries just include em. Don’t be that guy
I have a question, Where would the New Legendaries rank? Like the ones in Violet/ Scarlet?
Im having a hard time ranking them
More consideration than I ever would put into this, but entertaining none the less.
wake up honey, jpr just posted
2:14 is when it starts
Good video. My only contention is with Solgaleo and Lunala. The amount of energy that it takes to change night into day, presumably altering the planet’s position is a planetary feat.
It was confirmed apparently that eternatus lunala and solgaleo are the strongest legendaries apparently
@@thefinaldasher would make sense since they dimension hop casually but I gotta see the source . Would completely support it tho
@@Lanosplaylistbut dimensions is created by creation trio tho.
@@aimaarzaidaan7657 that doesn’t mean anything . Solgaleo and Lunala are the only ones shown to traverse dimensions
@@Lanosplaylist are you even playing pokemon💀, in pokemon US/UM laboratory there's a book that literally stated that palkia "Its total control over the boundaries of space enable it to transport itself to faraway places or even other dimensions.". And not only transport, palkia can even connect dimensions. And the creation trio is live in different and higher dimensions lorewise in the first place, so they can travel through dimensions. I mean they are the creator of all dimensions how the heck they cant go to something that they created.
