Bruce Liu's Waltz in A flat major is so fresh... I've never heard anyone play it like this. It has a tantalizing dizzi-dreaminess... and yet in other parts full of youthful banter. The dynamism consists in not only the contrast between quiet and loud, but also between excitement and lethargy... His touch is at times a bit too light for me, but on the other hand it is this uniquely light touch that gives his playing a different vibe that is very French (Chopin lived almost his entire life in France!).
Exceptional playing. I can't praise enough really. Best performance of the Waltz I've ever heard. He has such command of the instrument. Chopin would be so proud.

She's great but Bruce looks(and sound) more impressive. Nehring? Doesn't seem special enough for me. Who else? I mean, strong 1st prize contestants. We all know names that simply aren't gonna win anyway.
I didn't even notice this guy until stage1. He wowed me then, and he wowed me in the 2nd round.
He wowed the audience too.
If he don't get to the top 7, something is fishy.
Ciekawe co tu jest napisane.
Bruce dances to his own playing, never seen that in other pianists before!😄
Así lo percibí también.
