On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you prefer more up close and personal dogfights consider the IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battle series and experience intense WWII aerial combat over famous battlefields such as Stalingrad, Moscow, Rhineland and Normandy. Fight in and against Russian, American, German, British warbirds such as the P-51 Mustang, P-47 Thunderbolt, Bf-109, FW-190, Spitfire, Hurricane and rugged IL-2 Sturmovik attack plane. You can also fly legendary SPADS, Fokkers and Camels in WWI dogfights over the trenches of WWI and discover your inner Red Baron! And all of this can be experienced in jaw dropping virtual reality!
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

I think what happened with that missile is not that it tracked the Eurofighter, I think it tracked the F-15 all the way but passed close enough to the EF to trigger the proxy fuse. Essentially, had he chosen just a slightly different flight path that would have put him out of the path of that missile, you might have instead died very unexpectedly.
Looking at the path, it just doesn't seem like it tracked the EF.

Missiles aside, it's amazing how dynamic the whole fight was. None of this "lol were stuck in a spiral until we hit the deck". The instantaneous turn rate of the EF is crazy, and it also has the thrust-to-weight ration to just use the vertical whenever it wants to (similar to the F-22).

Imagine intentionally tricking the enemy into splashing himself lmao

  • @agnivmandal1946

The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't.
In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was........
Sorry.... Had to... Don't Ban me.

I'd assume that the missile would have some kind of IFF interrogator on board. They maybe infrared, but I'm sure there is some type of RF system working.

One step closer to Macross style hyper-maneuver missiles. Now fire them in groups of 6 so I can finally see an Itano circus.
Eurofighter almost got Tupoleved (missle/torpedo coming around and killing sender instead). Do these kind of missiles have a safeguard against that from really happening?

That's pretty cool GS, I guess if a fighter aircraft did make it to a merge and armed with the Phyton 5, that aircraft already have the advantage in dogfight. Our airforce currently only have LCA (FA-50) but its already integrated to be armed with Phyton 5 and I-Deby missiles, cool video GS and more power.
