I'm recovering quite well after some dicey open heart surgery and from another surgery in April to fix my sternum that got a little infection & it hadn't healed properly, so that surgery was tough...4 plates & 38 screws later and all seems well! I wish you a smooth surgery that completely repairs your ability to get around on your own ❤ good luck Danny!!!
My dad has hydrocephalus from West Nile Virus a few years ago. I had no clue the side effects after many years would still cause my dad such misery. Praying for you Danny!

Danny was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus later in life. I myself was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus and Cerebral Palsy at 11 days old in 1968 and had a shunt put in when the operation was in it's infancy . I've had many shunt revisions though out my life, I'm 55 now and had my most resent surgery in July. Glad u are doing well, you are a warrior, the shunt and the surgeries have saved my life many, many times.
There are numerous areas of Hydrocephalus such as congenital which one is born with and Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus which is more common in the elderly. The two main types are Communicating and Non-communicating Hydrocephalus where in the latter the CSF flow is somewhat blocked between the brain ventricles. The two medical device manufacturers are Medtronic and J&J of which the latter I worked for that company in the FDA clinical trials

I also have CP MODERATE Class My last correction was in 1987 when a new Shunt was installed on the opposite side of The Ventricle space. Up until July of 2021 I had been walking on 1 Crutch Then I had a fall breaking my leg landing hard after 3 months of recovery my ability to walk on 1 Crutch was Gone 😮 So now I'm forced back on two Crutches after nearly 50 years. Recently I began having Positional Headaches visited my Neurologist He referred me to a Neurosurgeon That Neurosurgeon has declined to take the case 😮 Unfortunately over time my balance has Declined I'm down to 30% would that being said I'm still in search of a neurosurgeon that will address my Situation. my x had that happen and he got real weak and his arms and hands were numb for years, it was not diagnosed right and they did carpel tunnel operation on both arms that didn't help, wow was that a waste, then it got figured out. he seems to stumble around and even have jerking motions after operation and arms and legs are all numb. they kinda led him to believe that that would go away but now are backpedaling on that

Let's Pray to St.Dymphna The Saint who's the st. of Mental health and who's day is on my Birthday of May 15th that Danny can become rid of his Brain tumor and survive. A joint venture like this really should work.Sadly many times after brain tumors are removed they still many times have a terrible tendency to grow back.
I was diagnosed with hydrocephalus also , it was scary because I couldn’t understand why I was falling all the time, went to theER and they drained 4 vials of fluid from my spine I now have a shunt and a drainage tube from my head to my abdomen so the fluid is reabsorbed back into the body to drain out , it was a scary, I thought I was going to end up in a nursing home, so grateful to Dr Alexander Paul my neurologist for figuring it out.
