Especially if you keep super long hair since childhood, even I view her short as short/medium and not super long.... Its because I grew up getting used to that length too

@@hannahmitchell8683 yeah you put your hair in a ponytail and pull it straight up and then just cut and it’s really cute I did it myself and I love it but I want to see his impression of it lmao
I constantly try different hairstyles - updos, half updos, braids from various RUclips videos. That's my hobby, I think it's fun. I have long hair (but not extremely long), all the same length so it's easiest for me to realise the hairstyles I like. This way I'm never bored with my hair, time flies by, and after 6 months it's time to cut my hair and it feels like it didn't take that long to grow it 🙂 So I guess where other people channel their need for change in a different hair cut or hair colour, I channel my need for change in various hairstyles 😁
I have pretty long hair. I usually change braid styles, colors (I mean, I always go red, but the type of red changes), do curls, leave it straight, try different accessoires, there is a huge amount of hairstyles you can do through braiding. Just look at recreation of show hairstyles like Vikings and Game of Thrones, you actually need really long hair for them.
After a certain length I kinda just forget about it and stop noticing it's growing lmao. It's on my back, I can't see it. Then I buzz it/pixie it. My hair is too dark to dye without bleaching and I'm too lazy to keep up with the roots
Long hair girl here. Every time I have cut it short in the past or even just going for a fringe I ended up regretting it. I.m a pretty busy person, when it.s long, personally, it.s easier to forget about it, it.s not on your face, it.s on your back, it doesn.t really bother you. As for hairstyles, I braid it / throw it in a bun. The urge to do something to it usually dies out when I brush it, condition it, take care of it, etc. I think that the secret for long hair is to just forget about it for the most part
I used to have long hair like that in high school and all the compliments I would ever get would be "your hair is so pretty, never cut it off". So my self-esteem was non existent because I thought that I am nothing without the hair. Upon graduating before university I cut it off in half and realized that hair was holding me back and having nicely cut hair is 5 million lightyears better than having an extremely long hair.
I’m about to cut my hair in two days and I’m exactly the same. My worth is completely attached to my hair because with the only thing I ever get compliments about and I feel like it’s the only thing that people see about me and so I am so scared that once it is gone that I’m just going to be completely average and unremarkable. But I’m tired of being in that mindset and hiding behind my hair, I want to prove to myself that I am able to be beautiful and vibrant without my long hair. Your message really encouraged me to stick with my decision to cut it, seeing as these past days have been hell with my insecure side of me trying to convince me not to do it. Wish me luck!🥳
The 3rd girls hair is frizzy and poofy because she has curly hair and is not allowing it to be curly. That is exactly what my hair looks like when I brush out the curls.
Brad, I love it when you do the long hair chop reaction videos. Please do more of them. The chopping itself is incredibly satisfying but is made better by your commentary. I have hair down to my knees and have for years and I always wonder what the day I decide to cut it all off will be like and if it will ever come because right now I simply don't have the courage. So please, help me live vicariously through your videos. ♡
it's always lovely to watch one of your videos Brad because you're always so nice and kind to everyone, even when they do something you're not that keen on.
I went from hip length hair to shaved head one day after my husband suggested it because I was lamenting that I had split ends that had gone alllll the way up! I always had long hair, knee length when I met my husband and it was a security blanket, but over the past 20 years, with lots of love and support from him, I've grown a bunch and when we shaved it I felt great! It was very liberating, and I felt super feminine, and it's been lovely growing in healthy hair! Also, my then two year old daughter thought it was hilarious!
I don't know how exactly donating your hair looks in the US, but in Poland you have to do it in very specific way: your hair has to be washed with SLS, no conditioner or styling allowed, COMPLETELY DRY, you have to braid it and secure it at both sides. Just in case some of you would cut your hair in order to donate it just to discover it can't be used because you didn't do it properly ;)
In Brazil it's pretty easy, you just have to tie the hair properly and cut. I think the unic thing that they doesn't allow u donate it if the hair it's too short
there are several companies that if u are donating your locks (if the hair salon is within contract with) they charge you . Now not sure if it’s the specific salon that is setting the price or the company, but my aunt normally tries to donate her hair but a few times she has , she was going to be charged. But she found a local place that does the donate and there’s no charge. Here in the U.S. not sure if it depends on the company or not, but my aunt was told her hair has to be bleach, dye free for X amount of time before u can donate, and not have permanent damage to the hair.
I love donating my hair! I cut off 13-14 inches back in September. I choose to give to Children With Hairloss, because all of the wigs are completely FREE for the kids. I LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing donations of beautiful hair going to help someone else!
I just donated in March to this same organization and I love their mission and the stuff they do. I've wanted to donate for years and I've had multiple big chops, but this is the first time donating. I hope to do it more in the future after my hair grows out of the pixie cut I got. I have an amazing stylist who did an amazing job.
When Brad paused on the third girl straightening her hair, all I could think was that she’s going to burn her hair. My brain didn’t process the fact that this is a video
I so appreciate you emphasizing to donate. They haven't figured out why but I am 44 and I have lost at least half the hair on my head. I see wigs in my future.
I literally did this today. I now have a pixie cut. I dont regret it cause my hair was super compromised and snapping off but my confidence is struggling.
Is it you in the picture? If so, I bet you look amazing. It can take some time getting used to new hairstyles... cutting my hair from my elbows and up to my jaws felt really strange for a few days, but I loved it when I got past the weirdness of a new haircut. Hoping that your confidence will get better as time passes
Yesss it makes me so sad seeing wave patterns in people’s hair and then I’ll notice they always keep it long and it looks damaged :( that used to be me when I was in elementary school and I wanted straight hair. I have 2c hair and I always brushed the curls out when I was a kid (looking back I would hurt my skull from how hard I would brush through my hair in attempt of straightening it). Now that I use curly hair products my hair looks soo healthy. Even when I use a straightener, it’s healthy because I’m now aware of to be careful with how often I do it and because I use the right products it looks much better
for me, long ass hair is much easier to deal with than short hair. When I had shorter hair I was forced to spend time on styling it because it would dry in silly and irregular shapes. But the long hair... I literally don't have to style. It's just easy, wash and go. And since my hair is thin, it's not heavy and shampooing and conditioning ain't a thing.
I had hair down to my knees and cut it myself into a short bob I'm so glad I didn't film it just incase you reacted to it because it was not very professional 😂
@@emmaloo1638 My hair is almost that long too (like goes down to my thighs, kinda close to my knees?) don't have any plan to cut it tho XD. I haven't really had any significant cuts in my life and I'm 17 so do what you want with that info :)
@@emmaloo1638 sorry for the kinda late reply it took me 8 years from a really short bob to my knees but my hair grows kinda slow especially because my hair isn't completely straight (2a/2b) so it will be different for everyone!
I just cut off 15 inches of my hair. It's now at, like, collarbone length. I used to sit on it and close it in doors all the time and it just got to be too overwhelming and hard to care for. I really like how it is now.
@@oldaccxunt Not at all! I hadn't cut it for 10 years before this, but I'm glad that I did. It's much lighter now and is easier to take care of. It looks better too, in my opinion.
Omg!! The doors and sitting on it is a huge problem!! Not to mention, making sure you move it to sit on the toilet. Has anyone every trapped themselves in the bed? Somehow I rolled over and wrapped my hair around myself 🤦♀️
My hair is almost as long as the second girls, i could NOT imagine cutting that off but taking care of it actually isn't so bad! I have naturally wavy hair so i rarely ever style it, the only thing it takes a lot is conditioner/shampoo (although i only shampoo my scalp).
Same here on the length - due to the pandemic/other factors, it hasn't been cut in two years and it grows FAST. It's not exactly hard to take care of- I also never style it- but it's getting a bit inconvenient. I've accidentally sat on it, it gets caught in the car door, it gets stuck under my hands or elbows when I try to sit up in bed...I'm excited to finally get a serious trim soon now that I'm all vaccinated!
My hair‘s down to my collar bone (a bit longer now that it has grown out) and thick (I have an undercut but it’s still thick af) and I absolutely hate wet hair. Washing day is like torture for me. How do you deal with wet hair? Do you wrap it in a towel or something? And btw: I’m so jealous! I bet your hair is gorgeous!
I also have my hair almost down to my knee and people always say it must be so much work. It's really not, it's so much easier to put it up using hair toys when it's longer. I only wash the skalp (as you should) and I don't need excessive amounts of conditioner. But hair stylists really don't care for that length so I have my boyfriend cut it. I find it weird that "professionals" are so prejudiced against very long hair. Guess you can't make money out of that. Also you won't get that long, healthy hair using heat and styling products every day.
I’ve donated my hair twice now, and it’s such a great feeling! I used the Princess Trust and I totally recommend donating if you cut all your hair off!
I chopped off 63cm yesterday and now my hair doesn't even reach my shoulders and I LOVE IT :D My hair was as long as Laurent's in the second video, I hadn't had a haircut in FOUR years :DD and now I also want to dye it so I'm binging your videos and gathering advice :)
Wow, what timing! I donated 25cm of hair over the weekend, so it was quite a change 😜 thank you for encouraging people to do it! Some places even take dyed hair!
I was always terrified of getting my hair cut short after a horrible haircut I had in elementary school (because I have curly hair I quite literally looked like a poodle). However, a few years ago I decided to go short again and it was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made! The hairstylist I went to did such an amazing job and I left the salon that day feeling so confident. Since then I've kept it short and haven't even once thought about growing it out again because I love it so much!
I have 33 inches of hair length and it's not as complicated as it sounds. Combing it through is a meditation in itself. I braid it and pin it up. My hair inspiration came from the Victorian Edwardian styles of women back in the day. I love hair. 😍 Brad Mondo you should do a few reaction videos on these styles. 😎
Hi Brad, I used your haircut method/tutorial to cut both my and my 6 year old daughter's hair (our hair was wet when I cut it, I sectioned off 4 even sections, then-this may be the least successful step when I watch people follow your advice-I cut perfectly STRAIGHT right above the elastic; also I cut off 8 inches of my hair and 6 inches of my daughter's hair), the final result...... we're both super happy with our haircuts, it turned out absolutely PERFECT, completely straight, 100% more healthy looking and feeling, mine is now shoulder length and hers is still long going to the middle of her back👏👍 So I just want to say thank you so much, I couldn't have done it without your expertise, you are a genius, love you 🤟 ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
And these vids help me stick to my decision to NOT cut my hair. Been growing it out for about three years, and it's to the middle of my back finally! The girl in the second video had the length that is my goal. :) Wish me luck! I hope I get there in another year or two...
My hair was at my upper chest, and then I forgot to get it done for two years in my early teens and then it reached my hips, but I honestly constantly forget how long it is. Im on instagram looking at hair posts thinking I wish my hair was like that, before I remember it is. I have had this for nine years...
0:56 Donate your hair--just NOT to Locks of(for?) Love!! They're actually pretty shady about their practices, charge some families for wigs, and throw out MOST of the donated hair they receive!
I can't relate... i wanna cut my hair, its way too long but there are two things stopping me: 1) my family cuz they are real strict 2) people tellin me i look gud with long hair I've never cut my hair
Thanks for doing this video, It was SO much fun to watch! When I get stressed out, I cut my hair and at the beginning of Covid, I shaved my head, bald. It grew past my shoulders, so today, a little stressed out, I did the "lion cut" and I love it! It's now just above my shoulders and has lots of beautiful layers. I'm a happy, grey haired, old lady now!
My hair is thick and curly and I used to have pretty much waist length hair and it was such a hassle to take care of. I used about a half a container of conditioner and shampoo and it would take like a friggin day to air dry. I cut it medium length bob and never looked back.
When you are 30lbs heavier than where you want to be, and your hair in a messy mom bun... im not talking cute... think Ms. Trunchbull running around after the kids all day... And Brad says "Hey Beautiful!". I'll take it!!! 😆🤗🙋🏼👐🏻
Just because of you I bought some hair cutting scissors and they are so much better than the kitchen thing. Thank you for bringing so much satisfaction into the haircuts I do for my boyfriend.
11:43 "I think this is postpartum for me" ME TOO GIRL, I AUTOMATICALLY CHOPPED OFF ALL MY HAIR AFTER GIVING BIRTH. During pregnancy, your scalp maintains most of your hair and you have less shedding, then after, you shed 10× more than you ever have (in most cases, obviously cant speak for everyone). And my once, full, voluminous, amazing hair quickly turned into a dead, frizzy, THIN wasteland. I had to chop it off for my sanity, it tangled way quicker and it didnt help i always had it up because I was dealing with a newborn so it was bad. It was just bad. Ive gained inches since birth nearly 10 months ago now and I'm trimming it to keep it healthy and really trying with my hair to get it back to what it once was. People sometimes don't realize just how much new moms have to find themselves again after giving birth 💕
I've been growing my hair for three years now. Started just below my shoulders and now it's almost to my waist. After I hit 41I wanted to have the experience of really long hair. It's fun and im going to keep going.
My hair is being chopped off on Wednesday to raise money for three different charities. Australian Cancer Research Foundation, Wigs 4 Kids and Hair With Heart. I'm donating my hair to the two children's cancer charities (the second and third charity) for wigs as there's so much virgin hair available (I've never dyed my hair, it'svery thick and it's longer than the second girls hair).
Long hair is honestly so much fun though 😌 and it’s really not difficult to care for. But then again I’m not curling, straightening, washing everyday, etc. 🤷🏻♀️ guess it just depends
Yea I had long hair till my knees yea they were long long I cutted them with bangs I look so much cuter and better and tbh the amount of weight you have on your head when having long hair I would never grow em tha long it's so much more comfy now
My hair is down to my thigh but I personally have such a hard time taking care of it that I'm cutting and donating it in a couple months. Its naturally dry and kinda curly so its hard to keep up with😅

I’m gonna be real pissed if he doesn’t react to the one minutes mullet challenge
YES HE NEEDS TO
I WAS WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO SAYYYY THISSSS
literally came to his channel to look for it
Wait, is this a thing?
@@hannahmitchell8683 yeah you put your hair in a ponytail and pull it straight up and then just cut and it’s really cute I did it myself and I love it but I want to see his impression of it lmao
I'm always amazed at the people that just leave their hair alone for years. Like, how do you not get the itch to do something different?!
I wish i could be like that😭
I constantly try different hairstyles - updos, half updos, braids from various RUclips videos. That's my hobby, I think it's fun.
I have long hair (but not extremely long), all the same length so it's easiest for me to realise the hairstyles I like.
This way I'm never bored with my hair, time flies by, and after 6 months it's time to cut my hair and it feels like it didn't take that long to grow it 🙂
So I guess where other people channel their need for change in a different hair cut or hair colour, I channel my need for change in various hairstyles 😁
I love Miss Mina! I was so surprised to see her here but so excited!
Brad looks like the edgy side character in a 2000s college movie
Omg you're so right
out of all the “brad looks like” comments this is the one.
Ye
Haha omg hi 😂😂😂🤦🏻♀️
U looked beautiful with the shorter hair, ngl
Uhhh hi you shouldnt have cut it
You look AMAZING! Congrats on the baby and the transformation.
gurl your hair is curly, do the curly girl method
your hair ain't frizzy!!! its curly😂
The 3rd girls hair is frizzy and poofy because she has curly hair and is not allowing it to be curly. That is exactly what my hair looks like when I brush out the curls.
Same!
💯 I gave up hating my curly hair years ago and never looked back!
@@jenniferferrell1465 right me 2, my daughter is 11 and still fights against her curls
I used to have weavyish hair but when I was in middle school I’d constantly straighten it and now it just looks exactly like hers all frizzy
She just needed some deep conditioning 😭
Brads hair changes everytime and it's so powerful every single time-
True, it’s magical somehow
I don't know how exactly donating your hair looks in the US, but in Poland you have to do it in very specific way: your hair has to be washed with SLS, no conditioner or styling allowed, COMPLETELY DRY, you have to braid it and secure it at both sides. Just in case some of you would cut your hair in order to donate it just to discover it can't be used because you didn't do it properly ;)
Yeah in Germany it’s pretty complicated too
Not in the US. But it also depends on where you are donating it to
In Brazil it's pretty easy, you just have to tie the hair properly and cut. I think the unic thing that they doesn't allow u donate it if the hair it's too short
Makes sense since they probably do treatments and the silicones from most conditioners might mess with it
there are several companies that if u are donating your locks (if the hair salon is within contract with) they charge you .
6:18 yes, because I have that hair but thicker and slightly shorter and I color it myself. Wash day is an ordeal!
Congrats on 7 million!!!!! I've been here so long, I'm very happy for you and all your success 💗💗💗
IM LITERALLY CUTTING 15 INCHES OF MY HAIR OFF ON THURSDAY. BRAD YOI HAVE THE BEST TIMINGS
Are you donating it ? That’s a lot of hair. Good luck

@@emmajane9403 yeah I’m sending it to the little princess Trust 🥰🥰
You should record it!
WE NEED A VLOG
I love donating my hair! I cut off 13-14 inches back in September. I choose to give to Children With Hairloss, because all of the wigs are completely FREE for the kids. I LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing donations of beautiful hair going to help someone else!
I just donated in March to this same organization and I love their mission and the stuff they do. I've wanted to donate for years and I've had multiple big chops, but this is the first time donating. I hope to do it more in the future after my hair grows out of the pixie cut I got. I have an amazing stylist who did an amazing job.
The second girl’s hair after cutting is still longer than I can even grow my hair 😂😭
SAMEEEE
yes 😭😭
When Brad paused on the third girl straightening her hair, all I could think was that she’s going to burn her hair. My brain didn’t process the fact that this is a video
Omg sameeee
Yea her hair after being cut is the longest my hair has ever been 😭
U have no idea how hard i laughed today from this shit! Omgggg lmfao ur commentary is rhe best
As someone with almost knee-length hair these videos are simultaneously so satisfying but also stress me out so much
I so appreciate you emphasizing to donate. They haven't figured out why but I am 44 and I have lost at least half the hair on my head. I see wigs in my future.
I literally did this today. I now have a pixie cut. I dont regret it cause my hair was super compromised and snapping off but my confidence is struggling.
do you regret it?
@@oldaccxunt no actually, my hair was super compromised and snapping off. I just need to work on my confidence with this short of hair
You probably look bomb as hell!! Good for you I hope you can find confidence!! 💕
I’ve honestly never seen someone look bad with a pixie cut!! I bet you look beautiful :))
the third person almost definitely has naturally curly hair and now it's shorter she could totally bring those curls out 🥺🥺
Yesss it makes me so sad seeing wave patterns in people’s hair and then I’ll notice they always keep it long and it looks damaged :( that used to be me when I was in elementary school and I wanted straight hair.
@@minhteaa what products do u use?
1:43 looked away from screen for like two seconds then looked back i dropped my phone thought it was a god dam tarantula 🤣
for me, long ass hair is much easier to deal with than short hair.
How many years they took to grow that long?😏🤭
Yeh how long did it take I want to grow mine reali long fast
Do you regret it?
Do you regret it?
@@oldaccxunt Not at all! I hadn't cut it for 10 years before this, but I'm glad that I did. It's much lighter now and is easier to take care of. It looks better too, in my opinion.
I’ve been closing my hair in my car door ALL THE TIME! So relieved to know it’s not just me😅 Not planning any major cuts though, just a trim!
@@XxXMandz Yeah, the car door is... it's a problem... 😂
And you run out of conditioner first always🙄✋🏻
fr!! mine is not that long but definetly waist length and i find it very easy to take care of
Same here on the length - due to the pandemic/other factors, it hasn't been cut in two years and it grows FAST.
LOL Brad your expressions and reactions crack me up :P. You sir are awesome :P
I’ve donated my hair twice now, and it’s such a great feeling! I used the Princess Trust and I totally recommend donating if you cut all your hair off!
The most irritating thing about this is not seeing the final cut. You know they got that shit fixed. I would have liked to see the end results.
I once chopped mine from waist to chin. Girls loved it, guys hated it 😂 It got donated 😊
Why are guys like that, ugh
Me, in tears with my mascara all smudged preparing for an exam:

Good luck in your exam 🤗 you're gonna do great!
I am obsessed with every video with a new outfit and a new hairstyle/color stunning as usual Brad 😍💕
It’s so crazy how different people look with short hair vs long hair... my brain can hardly comprehend it
I was always terrified of getting my hair cut short after a horrible haircut I had in elementary school (because I have curly hair I quite literally looked like a poodle).
One of my favorite FoodTubers, with one of my favorite HairTubers... Im so excited catching up on these videos!! Lol

The girl with "big frizzy hair" def has waves in there and needs to see a curl specialist!
Hi Brad, I used your haircut method/tutorial to cut both my and my 6 year old daughter's hair (our hair was wet when I cut it, I sectioned off 4 even sections, then-this may be the least successful step when I watch people follow your advice-I cut perfectly STRAIGHT right above the elastic; also I cut off 8 inches of my hair and 6 inches of my daughter's hair), the final result...... we're both super happy with our haircuts, it turned out absolutely PERFECT, completely straight, 100% more healthy looking and feeling, mine is now shoulder length and hers is still long going to the middle of her back👏👍 So I just want to say thank you so much, I couldn't have done it without your expertise, you are a genius, love you 🤟 ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Having 30 inch long hair myself, this makes me want to shed a tear...lol
Ok this is really random but how do I grow an inch in less than 2 weeks if that’s possible
I’d go with some clip in extensions if u needed it to grow that fast. Other than that.. not possible lol
@@locket5626 inversion method. If you've never done it before, it can get crazy results
Me too and my hair is only 20 inches long. As long as the ends are trimmed, long hair looks gorgeous.
@a basketboy I'd like to get to 22 inches seeing as I'm at 20". You're correct with where my hair falls on my back.
And these vids help me stick to my decision to NOT cut my hair. Been growing it out for about three years, and it's to the middle of my back finally! The girl in the second video had the length that is my goal. :) Wish me luck! I hope I get there in another year or two...

Mine grows fast. I have it grown out to three feet, I think it's at its limit lol.
@@noeyedgirl mine grows fast until it hits a certain length and then it just gets stuck 😭 down to the upper chest and then it gives up
My hair was at my upper chest, and then I forgot to get it done for two years in my early teens and then it reached my hips, but I honestly constantly forget how long it is. Im on instagram looking at hair posts thinking I wish my hair was like that, before I remember it is. I have had this for nine years...
It sounds great until you just end up putting it in a ponytail or a braid everyday lol

The second girls drastic hair cut was still longer than my hair 😂
These videos give me anxiety with my waist length hair. Brad is so right its a security blanket. I'd love to cut it but nope I just cant.
I want my bleached ends to grow out and still be like waist to hip length. Then I'll chop it. Like I'm giving myself atleast 5 more years 😅
i watted to cut mine a year ago , i finally dont it this month
0:56 Donate your hair--just NOT to Locks of(for?) Love!! They're actually pretty shady about their practices, charge some families for wigs, and throw out MOST of the donated hair they receive!
I just cut mine yesterday for Wigs for Kids. A much better charity imo. I donated to Locks of Love in the past but I don't trust them anymore.
What about Wigs for Kids?
Yes. I’m a stylist and I always recommend against donating to them when my clients want to pursue a big chop. Wigs for kids is much better IMO

I was sooo excited when you reacted to miss Mina I love her and her channel so much just like yours
My hair is thick and curly and I used to have pretty much waist length hair and it was such a hassle to take care of. I used about a half a container of conditioner and shampoo and it would take like a friggin day to air dry. I cut it medium length bob and never looked back.
Love this. I just had my almost waist long hair cut into a inverted bob.

11:43 "I think this is postpartum for me"
ME TOO GIRL, I AUTOMATICALLY CHOPPED OFF ALL MY HAIR AFTER GIVING BIRTH.
I feel so bad for the last girl. I could *feel* that post partum panic roller coaster of emotion. Not a feeling I would wish on anyone :/
I've been growing my hair for three years now. Started just below my shoulders and now it's almost to my waist. After I hit 41I wanted to have the experience of really long hair. It's fun and im going to keep going.
Hey brad! Going to buying your incredible hair color soon! I need to get back to pink and purple!
I love Miss Mina! She does Korean travel videos/food videos and they’re so good. She’s such a sweet woman.
Nice. Good job 👏
