When you’re hair is that damaged from over processing, you’re left with patches of really short hair, it’s just really damaged and it’s just sad to see your hair breaking off in chunks And you really have no choice but to cut it (speaking from personally experience)

You could also instead of using bleach use HiColor, if you use that you don’t have to bleach to dye your hair it just dyes it straight away. I have natural type 4 black hair and it worked well for me :) Edit: Also no matter how you do it ALWAYS make sure to use cholesterol to keep your hair healthy. It really helps if you don’t want any damage.

To clarify, natural hair isn't dry. Natural hair is prone to being dry. There's a difference. There are some that just struggle with retaining moisture and others that have it locked down.

When it rains, sure, the bus stop will be damp. But. it's not always raining. And some bus stops have canopies to *mitigate* the amount of rain that enters when it is raining. Those canopies protect the entire bus stop from being damp. If natural hair is properly maintained (taking steps to *mitigate* dryness), then an all-encompassing descriptor of "dry" would not apply.

I have very fine, dry, wavy hair as well. If you go to a salon you'll be fine. If not, you can avoid a lot of bad things these girls did. Don't process it twice in a row. I bleached my hair and was super scared. I used a 20 vl with bleach and a bond builder. Only let it sit for as minimal a time as possible. Then put a deep conditioning mask on my hair for an hour and there was really no damage at all.
I have naturally curly hair, after years and years and years of bleaching and coloring my hair, every time I brush it, I look like Hagrid's long lost daughter... :D

I only brush my hair before going to bed. In the morning I spray aloe juice all over it to get the waves back and then I don't touch it much. The more you touch it, the more frizzy and big it gets. That's just curly/wavy hair for ya.

Ugh I remember the first time I bleached my hair multiple times a few years ago. It definitely went badly but after ur tutorial, my last few bleaching have gone well with minimal damage!
I learned that curly hair and bleach don’t go together the hard way, I had gorgeous long wavy/curly hair, very dark almost black , I wanted to try blonde, I did it twice (got it done in a salon both times) I end up going back to dark brown because my ends looked soo fried and bad that I couldn’t salvage it, had to cut it to my chin, now after a year it’s boob length, still working on dead ends since they look so bad, I slowly have been trims to get rid of the dead parts but I’d you are thinking about bleaching people think about it 10000 times before doing it. I regret it.

Bleach and curly hair definitely can mix! Just go to a professional and lighten it slowly over time and invest in olaplex. I went from dark brown to light brown, to copper, and then honey blonde. It took a year or two, but my curl pattern is perfectly fine.

warning to all my curly cuties out there: don’t do a me and start out with luscious dark brown curly hair, then decide to bleach your ENTIRE HEAD every 3 weeks for about a year. You WILL end up with virtually straight hair and you WILL have a meltdown and shave that shit off. On the upside, my brown curls are coming back... it’s only taken 2 years :’) I like to think that I got the hair bleaching phase “out of my system” but hey, this for sure won’t be my last hair disaster.

“Curly hair and bleach, they don’t really mix” Yes, I learned this the hard way. Bleached my hair one time and it literally stopped growing for over a year. Promised myself I would never put bleach on my hair again.
I bleached my 3c hair, took two times and being careful not to overlap and it came out amazing after some medium/light blonde toner. My mom and I did it together on my 40 inch hair using all of Brads tips. Then I used temporary dye to dye half of it pink, it was so cute. After bleaching I used intense moisture treatments to make sure my curls were cool and as healthy as they could be and it worked. Bouncy beautiful blonde/pink curls. I know I was lucky so be careful doing it at home guys, I was only so confident bc my hair grows fast so if I had to cut it it would’ve been fine.
Watching these bleaching fails makes me glad I am bald and wear wigs. I’ve done the bleaching 20 years ago plus and yes it turned to bubble gum. Do not miss those days at all. Thank u Brad Mondo for the education.

And my first time going a salon and she left it on way too long and killed my hair I had to cut it so short!! Never again will I go to a salon I will never trust anyone with my hair again

I got highlights on my curly hair. I actually also cut it up to just below my shoulders because it’s really thick and hard to manage. But I’m thinking about getting blue tips or an ombré going from my natural hair color to a deep blue.

Ugh I remember the first time I bleached my hair multiple times a few years ago. It definitely went badly but after ur tutorial, my last few bleaching have gone well with minimal damage!
It was the worst mistake of my life. I have now been actively trying to regrow and get my curls back for 3 years 😩

I learned that curly hair and bleach don’t go together the hard way, I had gorgeous long wavy/curly hair, very dark almost black , I wanted to try blonde, I did it twice (got it done in a salon both times) I end up going back to dark brown because my ends looked soo fried and bad that I couldn’t salvage it, had to cut it to my chin, now after a year it’s boob length, still working on dead ends since they look so bad, I slowly have been trims to get rid of the dead parts but I’d you are thinking about bleaching people think about it 10000 times before doing it.
I regret it.
I’m still in the process of recovering my hair. I got my curls back, but i need to work on breakage still :(. I’m wishing the best of luck to you in your hair journey! From one curly girl to another! ✨

Bleach and curly hair definitely can mix! Just go to a professional and lighten it slowly over time and invest in olaplex. I went from dark brown to light brown, to copper, and then honey blonde. It took a year or two, but my curl pattern is perfectly fine.
I’m 65 and I’ve let me hair go back to grey. I love the colour but I’ve lost shine. Can you do a video on grey hair care please. Xx

warning to all my curly cuties out there:
don’t do a me and start out with luscious dark brown curly hair, then decide to bleach your ENTIRE HEAD every 3 weeks for about a year. You WILL end up with virtually straight hair and you WILL have a meltdown and shave that shit off. On the upside, my brown curls are coming back... it’s only taken 2 years :’) I like to think that I got the hair bleaching phase “out of my system” but hey, this for sure won’t be my last hair disaster.

I bleached my 3c hair, took two times and being careful not to overlap and it came out amazing after some medium/light blonde toner. My mom and I did it together on my 40 inch hair using all of Brads tips. Then I used temporary dye to dye half of it pink, it was so cute. After bleaching I used intense moisture treatments to make sure my curls were cool and as healthy as they could be and it worked. Bouncy beautiful blonde/pink curls. I know I was lucky so be careful doing it at home guys, I was only so confident bc my hair grows fast so if I had to cut it it would’ve been fine.
Watching these bleaching fails makes me glad I am bald and wear wigs. I’ve done the bleaching 20 years ago plus and yes it turned to bubble gum. Do not miss those days at all. Thank u Brad Mondo for the education.

Omg I normally don’t comment but this happened to me too!!!! I bleach and color my own hair all the time, and I thought well maybe I’ll try to go to a professional so I don’t mess my hair up. And my first time going a salon and she left it on way too long and killed my hair I had to cut it so short!! Never again will I go to a salon I will never trust anyone with my hair again
And she told me it was my fault bc I had my hair lightened in the past, which I already told her!! But she still blamed me for my hair falling out when I’m reality she didn’t even wash it out when she was supposed too.

I got highlights on my curly hair. I actually also cut it up to just below my shoulders because it’s really thick and hard to manage. But I’m thinking about getting blue tips or an ombré going from my natural hair color to a deep blue.
