🌺 Aloha Michelle and Jose, Unbelievable! You both are so lucky! 😉 I love the vlogs you make on the Hawaiian Islands. Mahalo for sharing! You make me want to try it asap! 🤙🏽😋. So delicious! 🥰👍🏽
Aloha Rebecca!! We are definitely luck to be able to come and visit as Hawai'i often. 🙏 Mahalo nui loa for your continued support for our channel 🥰 and we're so happy to bring you along on our adventures. Definitely give "The Japan" a try if possible. 😋😊🤙🏼
We were staying a stones throw away from there , never got to explore it 😢There was a Ramon Event advertised there during our stay but our busy schedule , we never got there… Next year we definitely will not be as busy to soak up all these good eats Cheers Rod 🤙
Hey Rod!! Yes you were practically neighbors to "The Japan." We can definitely relate...so many places to see and eat😋...so little time and stomach space😂!! We saw the advertisement on IG for the Ramen event🍜 but of course the timing of our trip didn't match up. A good variety of vendors to pick from with fresh ingredients from Japan and easily accessible in Waikiki so we hope your schedule next year can fit in a stop to check them out!! As always Rod thank you for your continued support!! 🤙🏼😊
Another video that didn't disappoint! Mahalo for taking us along your food journey! You guys go to places I've never been majority of the time.❤😂 🍍😎🤙🌴🥥🌺🌈
Aloha BraddahBruce!! Mahalo nui loa for the kind words and your continued support 😊. We're happy to bring you along on all of our foodie adventures.🤙🏼 Hawai'i 🌺 has so many hidden gems💎 and it's been a fun journey exploring as much as we can whenever on the island!! 😋
Oh my! My stomach is growling and seeing that tender, fatty, juicy beef is making me sad. Oooh the skewers and musubis too! I love salmon musubis. I have my breakfast of 2 cups of coffee. I want that now! LOL. Oh well, I'll be starving. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through you and your delicious meal, Michelle & Jose!
Hey Misty!! The delicious places just continue to stack up but the stomach space remains the same😂🤣!! 2 cups of coffee for breakfast....👎🏼. We wouldn't be able to function with just that. Definitely let us know if you're in town and get a chance to visit "The Japan" as we'd love to know your thoughts. We appreciate you Misty!! 😊🤙🏼 Have a good week ahead!!
Wow!! I haven’t been to International Marketplace in years. Everything looks so crazy yummy. Mahalo for taking us there. Now I’m hungry….thanks??? 😮😂. Guess I’ll have a tuna sandwhich. 😒
Aloha urs! So sorry for the late reply. The International Marketplace has some pretty delicious spots and we were excited to try the spots inside Mitsuwa. A great variety of ono eats to choose from. Mahalo for your continued support and we wish you a Happy New Year and blessed, healthy, and fruitful 2024!!
The International Market Place, up until early 1990s...is but a Distant memory. They Completely rebuilt the Whole property, leaving only the Banyan tree & some of the kiosks, still standing!😢...Even Duke's Lane/King's Alley has Faded To Black. IF am remembering rightly(?)...this was approximately 2016-17. Have not been to "modern" IMP/WKK since(By choice!)😢
Yes definitely visit "The Japan" if in town. A great little spot tucked away in Mitsuwa that's bringing a Japanese ingredients and inspired food right to the heart of Waikiki. Let us know if you're able to give it a try and what you liked best!!
M & J....Just re-watching your older videos &, if you like different ingredients in your musubi...Must checkout Iyasume Musubi Cafe Iyasume. I know there's 1 WKK location & 2-3(?) around Ala Moana & 1 in Kahala Mall. In fact, Amanda & Felix just loaded their Fave Musubi spots....
Aloha Harry! We’ve definitely tried Musubi Cafe Iyasume…numerous times as they have so many locations in town. We’ve actually done a musubi food tour that included them when we first started our channel a few years ago. Stay tuned as we have something coming up about musubi as well!!

Noodles & won ton wrappers are home-made too! We like the hearty&piping hot beef soup noodles & the hearty piping hot won ton soup noodles! Natural & nutritious! Very good service too! 11am-2pm Beef Soup Noodles special price $15 (a $6 off). 2-4pm Beef Soup Noodles with 3 potstickers given for free.
Hi @littlebird128saso! Apologies for the late response. Thank you for all of this info and the great deals. We visited a couple of the restaurants at Stix Asia and loved what we tried so far. There are so many options to choose from and it's nice that it's all-in-one spot to try. Definitely will be adding this spot to our growing list. Thank you for sharing and for stopping by the channel!!
There are a couple of new Asian food halls in Waikiki and this is one with authentic Japanese food, so thank you for taking the time to "force" yourself to try and review the A-5 wagyū at this restaurant. 😋 I see you working hard on your videos and reviews, but since you're in Hawaiʻi and at a Japanese restaurant and I know you try to pronounce Japanese (and Hawaiian) words correctly, as I've mentioned before, please pronounce "wagyu" with Japanese pronunciation and donʻt perpetuate the English mispronunciation. It is NOT "wag - gyu" or worse "wag - gu." (No tail-wagging by Japanese cows.) It is pronounced "wah-gyū" "Wa" means Japanese and is pronounced the same as in "wasabi" which everyone seems to be able to say. "Gyū" with a long [u] - means beef, but if you donʻt elongate the "u," it doesnʻt sound as bad as saying "wag-gyu." Just remember: Donʻt change and shorten vowel sounds between consonants in Japanese and Hawaiian (except "e" is pronounced like "eh."). The letter "i" is always pronounced like "ee" (and can have a long sound as well) so you should pronounce words like "yakitori" and "furikake" with the "i" sound in "musubi" (for which your pronunciation has improved because you don't place stress on the second to the last syllable - another common error by English speakers). I know you already can pronounce the difficult "ri." One more language note: The "o" prefix in "omusubi" is an honorific in Japanese, which makes the term polite, so it is used by restaurants or vendors, and Japanese women often refer to the rice ball in everyday speech as "omusubi" or "onigiri, " but in Hawaiʻi, if youʻre talking about the food in English, you can just say "musubi" as in "Spam musubi." Sorry to constantly go on about your pronunciation, but I am an English and Japanese language teacher (who is studying Hawaiian) in Hawaiʻi, and one thing that makes me cringe about foodie or travel videos in Japan and Hawaii is the constant mispronunciation of Japanese or Hawaiian words, even by locals. I can see how sincerely you try to adapt and improve what you do, and I know you would feel the same if people kept saying "taymaylee" for "tamale" or "aydahbu" for "adobo." 😜
