    This demonstrate that the variety of colors and types of brushes doesn't matter. Everything
    you need is your passion in art and your zeal.
    And then you know that this masterpiece came out of nowhere or maybe your hand kept moving on its own and a great masterpiece came out...I'm a believer in art and I know how it feels to be an artist. Everybody's like, " did you had professional training ?", and I'm like nope it just came out on canvas...Hope your story's the same (as I read in the comments...)

    Hello Untamed Little Wolf,
    Thank you for posting this lovely video, it was a pleasure to watch, especially as I knew what colours you were using as soon as I saw them on the paper being an artist of many years myself. This effect can not be achieved in any other medium except watercolour. Your experience is obvious as is your talent. Testing the dryness of the paper with the back of your fingers is something that only comes with thought or instruction, but is a revelation to a new student. Wet into wet technique is so special and can produce great results, again your experience shows by the way you control the later brush strokes. As for your Chinese brush, I love painting with these and have some really old ones which I have had for many years. I would like to encourage anyone watching this video to "have a go" themselves, all you have to lose is a little paper and time, but what you have to gain is possibly a fine watercolour and a life-long love of painting. Keep posting keep painting!

    😍😍😍
    When u spattered the white paint with the tooth brush, was that still water color? Or acrylic? I try to paint stars myself but it comes out transparent even if i apply it on dried surface. I wish i could paint that clear white stars!!! Ahhhh😣help?

    • @opal77
      @opal77 10 лет назад +3

      Another alternative is masking fluid splattered on the places you want to remain white, then removed to reveal the white of the paper as stars. Both methods work!

    • @StarsNight123
      @StarsNight123 10 лет назад +3

      You can also use white acrylic paint!! Since it's thick cx

    • @TheNetflyer
      @TheNetflyer 10 лет назад

      I use a utility knife and cut out my stars :-) works awesome! If you add white it is no longer water color but instead 'mixed media' still great, but not wc in the strictest traditional sense :-) Having said that, they make white water color paint, both 'Titanium White' and Chinese White, one more opaque than the other.

    • @HystericusNet
      @HystericusNet 10 лет назад

      AntiFormKeyblade Careful here. You don't want the ammonia in masking fluid on your skin, eyes, or under your fingernails if you're splattering with a toothbrush. Gloves, goggles, and pets outside, at least. For stars, salt produces an interesting effect as it soaks up the water. There's no shame in the use of opaque whites in wc. If it's good enough for Joseph Zbukvic it's good enough for the rest of us!

    • @TheNetflyer
      @TheNetflyer 10 лет назад

      Globus Hystericus
      No shame at all! Just not traditional, which totally personal choice. If you're worried about masking fluid you can apply it outside. Also, if you are wearing gloves for that surely consider the dangers of painting with Cadmium and other dangerous components of the paint itself.
      It is quite a challenge to 'leave' white. One has to think backwards, paint around objects, mask, cut, etc... If you see that as an obstacle USE WHITE for sure :-)

    When you first splattered the few stars, my heart twinged with the absolute gloriousness of the brilliance of the stars which peaked the awesomeness you got with just the sky. But I feel that you went too far with the stars.
    The copious numbers of stars in the final detracted from the beauty of the colour harmonies that I think originally flourished and were augmented by the few stars in the beginning. But in the end, this is just my opinion that I wanted to share
