I painted these yesterday and got some really nice results, didn't look like yours lol but I still like how they turned out. I turned them into bookmarks :)
I JUST SAW A VIDEO WHERE THE PERSON PUT SOME PAINT INTO A SMALL (KITCHEN) STRAINER THEN BLEW ON IT WITH A STRAW. AMAZING!!! I HAVEN'T TRIED IT BUT I WILL. IT WORKED PERFECTLY!
Best galaxy techniques Ive found to date! However, it is clear that the colors are actually patterned in rings rather than random blobs, which would be useful to point out
As an absolute beginner i was looking for something to paint that is fun and beautiful....i was very happy to discover your channel! I absolutely love these Galaxy bookmarks! And i am happy how mine turned out to be
1st time when I saw this at a glance, I thought that this is going to be soo difficult, but when I watched the whole video I realized that, this is too easy and I am gonna to try this Galaxies Painting. Loved it!
I absolutely adored this video and as a mixed media watercolorist who has not yet ventured into galaxy art, I can promise you I will now after watching this killer video! Thanks so much for sharing your amassed skills and techniques!!! xx
I've only painted one galaxy and it came out ok, but I think your technique will give me better results. You explained everything really well and your galaxy's are extraordinary. Thank you for this tutorial.
I’ve just tried the first space one as my first full painting and.. I was discouraged at first because I only have cheap supplies but.. y’know what? It turned out cool enough that I’m going to make it the background for my brother’s birthday card! I’ll make some more spacey things to glue on top and use my white pen for the lettering. :D Can’t wait to paint more! Thank you!
I’d love to know what colors you’re using! As someone who is super new to watercolors it is helpful to get an idea when there is a sea of wonderful colors to buy (I‘ve been getting the Daniel Smith tubes as apposed to having a simple palette)
Sorry, I somehow had the wrong comment on this page! Not sure how that happened. Great tutorial! I recently got into water color and can't wait to try this out. What I am looking for is help with a mural I'm doing that will incorporate a cloudy galaxy look. Thank you!
Awesome !! Thank you so much !! I am learning watercolor by myself your channel it's an amazing inspiration for me , you are a great teacher !! Big hugs from Chile.
gorgeous!!!! I have not painted any galaxies and will attempt your techniques! I love this tutorial. I have only painted simple pan watercolors and look forward to this!!
You know I always found your galaxy tutorials the best out of the ones I have seen. And yet I have no idea why I was not subscribed when I started this hobby a year ago considering I tried and kept to make galaxies for a year now because covid 😂 Life be funny that way sometimes, but I corrected my mistake and I love this video like the others! ❤️
Amazing tutorial. I always struggle with placing my tape and it being straight and the same width (when you're not using the entire width of the tape) envy how your placing around the border was all the same.
If I really want the edges to be straight I quickly measure a quarter inch or however far in from the edge of the paper and lightly mark it so I have some subtle guides for tape placement.
@@studioofmm altho this doesn't have the overall shape that galaxies have . . . it Does look like the Wiew of the galaxy from the INside . . . so kinda like how we se our milky way from a world inside the galactic disc
holy dhit i haven't watched the whole video yet but that second one... THAT SECOND ONE.... omg thats stunning the colours r so beautiful () i finished the video now and ive been binging ur videos whilst i wait for my watercolour to dry
Craft paper curls from the water (it's what I have been using). But if you put the finished, totally dry, product in a notebook or under a stack of books it mostly flattens back out. I think there's also something about lightly spraying the back of the finished product to make it essentially curl the other way.
It was a custom mix of Windsor & Newton Neutral Tint with Daniel Smith Carbazole Violet. Basically trying to create a more pigmented version of Daniel Smith Lunar Violet.
Hi. This is awesome. Been struggling with galaxies. But I'm curious, so this is not a wet on wet technique? Thanks. You're so inspiring!! And the patches and lines when it dries bothers me. 😭😭
as she said, tape it down. theres not really any other way to prevent it. it will warp when u paint on it (taped) but will go back to flat once it deies
I painted these yesterday and got some really nice results, didn't look like yours lol but I still like how they turned out. I turned them into bookmarks :)
Excellent idea!!
I always paint galaxies when I’m not sure what else to do! And I always think of your videos too when I do them haha
Haha, that’s amazing!
Same!
What brand of watercolor are you buying and where can I buy it??
Me too lol. I've only done 5 paintings so far but they all have galaxy backgrounds.
I do the same
By far, this is the best and most elaborate galaxy tutorial I've found on RUclips. You're a GENIUS!
I hope you enjoy the latest instalment in my galaxy tutorial videos! Thanks for watching 😊

Can we use poster colours
My art teacher played your video in class
Is it necessary to have a watercolor....will it create a difference...as I don't have it.. I will be using normal craft paper

What paper can we use for watercolor instead of watercolor sheet
Have you ever used Chinese white in the highlights?
Hii.. can i use oslo paper or a hard paper? Thanksss...

I would love to see what you could do with cotton paper!

Beautiful drawing
What's the GSM of your paper 200 or 300?

How do you avoid warping of the watercolor paper? I rather not stretch my paper as its too time consuming :(
as she said, tape it down. theres not really any other way to prevent it. it will warp when u paint on it (taped) but will go back to flat once it deies
I don't have words to thank u❤️
Lovely! Thank you!
Question: What paper brand and weight are you using for this tutorial?
I believe it was the Canson Montval paper which is 140lbs/300g.
