    Knowing that I've survived and handled each sickness just fine makes no difference to me because I have a debilitating phobia and every time I'm triggered two things happen:
    1. Each time feels like the first time so it doesn't matter that I've been through it a million times and survived.
    2. What if THIS time something awful happens.
    How do you stop thinking that way when you have a debilitating phobia? Because when I'm not triggered I know that I've survived each time and that what I fear isn't even the worst thing that could happen... but when the phobia is triggered, it takes over and all rational thinking and common sense goes out the window. I can't even think straight because the phobia is so strong that I would rather die than have it happen. And I am painfully aware of how irrational that is, but knowing that doesn't help or make it stop.

    I was just told I have low iron and low iron stores. I reacted like a toddler for a week and created an anxiety storm inside myself. It’s been a rough two weeks filled with not just worry/anxiety but absolute shame at my response not to mention worrying there’s something wrong with my
    Mind that I’m like this. I have completely catastrophized and found every reason to believe a supplement won’t help me. And of course the anxiety created worse symptoms.
    Last year I was getting sick every few weeks (I had mega stress and trauma the past few years)
    Please discuss the “am I going crazy” “there is something wrong with me” mental aspect of all of this?
    Dan your voice alone just soothes me. Thank you

    I don’t like getting sick but I’m always pretty amazed how ‘ healthy’ my body is in finding the cure..
    it’s a golden evidence to know I’m not broken.
    With Covid, I would take a test not for me, but to stay away from vulnerable people..
    Just like with a cold, I’m not gonna go close, kiss, shake hands anymore..
    Sorry you get overwhelmed with questions and comments.

    One of the things to do with a positive covid test is to ensure you don't compromise the health of others who may be more vulnerable. If someone is immunoompromised, for whatever reason, their own body may not be able to cope. And what if the chest pain someone experiences is a heart attack and not TMS? Perhaps a good way foward is to check out with medical professionals it isn't an adverse event. And then if all is good, follow TMS protocols.

    • @PainFreeYou

      I work from home and live alone. A covid test would not have changed my course of action for recovery.

      @@PainFreeYou Hi Dan, sorry I didn't mean to sound critical of you personally. But I contracted covid in early 2020, and, exactly like Phil in your wonderful podcast with him, it 'fried' my autonomic nervous system. Previously I'd been a fit, strong working gardener with clients, and covid damaged my heart badly, caused problems with blood vessels and involved me in two years of struggle. And I think I was lucky. Others were and still are a lot sicker. The selfish unwillingness of far too many to consider others and how their bodies might respond has been so noticeable, and I don't think it can be stressed too often that in terms of health, people are not all equal. Some are a lot more vulnerable. But also to say I admire and respect what you do, I'm a true believer in mind/body as a driver for many symptoms and illnesses. Though I also think there are clinical and mechanical health problems that aren't mind/body, and that it's possible to have a combination of complex issues. xx

      I had a heart attack. It isn't like any other feeling I had. Go to er. A doctor cannot keep anyone from getting heart disease. Controlling risk factors is your best recourse. Keep weight down, control blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol. Fancy prevention tests are not recommended.

    • @joesedlacek7552
      @joesedlacek7552 8 дней назад

      You can have Covid even before you have symptoms. Getting a test won’t prevent you from spreading it.

    • @kateking3953
      @kateking3953 8 дней назад +2

      @@wednesdayschild3627 I hope you're well and recovered. But you make my point. Some things are TMS - and some aren't, or if they are, the results of them, which may be life-threatening, may need medical or surgical intervention. Not to increase anyone's anxiety (including my own!), but I've had friends who had heart attacks and strokes, and sometimes the perception of danger is a real thing.

      Sending you healing hugs and light! ❤❤ I know acute& chronic late Lyme with back pain well. If you can, try not to go too deep down into the online research spiral. I've scared myself silly doing that. Right now, besides a Lyme literateMD, i am watching my sugar intake and working on a good diet with a nutritionist. has really helped. And I found Dan here and it's been even better, calming and safer feelings through symptoms. Wishing you all the best 🙏💗

    I broke my wrist yesterday, need to have surgery . I'm not scared of the surgery itself, but I have a flare up of rhoehmeld syndrome with lots of palpitations, and I am freaking out that my heart could just stop during anesthesia, even though i know this is not organic but functional. i don't even get foll anesthesia but plexusanesthesia, so only my arms nerves are blocked for the duration of the surgery. i will never be certain it is tms, no matter how often the assessments say it is to 99 percent.

      Am assuming your doctors have a plan, Re dvt. You can only take control back of your fearful brain which is spewing out sensations by being consistent in your messages of safety. Be careful of your own dialogue it's a slippery slope. My take only. You can get through.
