    Been flipping the script since the moment I found you Dan & joined your group coaching last year. Gone from bed bound & having perceived danger projected onto anything...was getting to the point where mind was running out of physical "real estate" for "symptoms" to manifest upon! Since applying your new information & learning...with consistent practice & patience (and boy was it small, small steps in the beginning) I am now walking over 3 miles every day. Cycling. Yoga. Driving. Shopping. Socialising. Eating & enjoying food...basically living life again...still on the continuum to "getting there" but definitely on the right mindset path thanks to you & all the beautiful people stepping the same path. Love to all.Xxx💝

      Thank you so much. I only put this up because when I first started understanding mind/body perceived danger reaction stuff, I read & listened to how other people had implemented this learning & regained their life...but at that point I could only dream & hope. Now it's becoming my own reality & I want others at the beginning point to have the same hope & knowing it's possible for them too. If I can do it, anyone can!@@tlee62

      You just wrote my story! I was in the same boat as you before I started with the group. Bedridden for four years, too many symptoms to count. Finding Dan and joining the group changed my life from pain and isolation to being free and happy to do whatever I want to do-living life to the fullest. Still not at the top of the mountain but it’s in sight and I know I will get there in my own time. Hugs to you Josie and to all who are on this journey-you can do this!❤🤗

    I'm 68 years old and have had pain since I was 13 years old. About 30 years ago, I came across Dr. Sarnos' book and have been reading it ever since from time to time I understood it but couldn't make the connection. Then, about a month ago, I came across you, Dan, and have listened to you every day, and it is making sense to me now, and I also have hardly any pain most days thank you Dan for the wonderful work that you are doing. I love you ❤

    I turned off this video at 8 minutes in, picked up my handbag and left the house. Got the train and travelled ten stations, then ten stations back home again which is part of my therapy around anxiety. Before I started watching this video my brain was trying to tell me not to go with all sorts of aches and pains but I chose to do it anyway after taking your message on board. Thanks for the encouragement as always, Dan.

    Yes doing the opposite is so powerful for me.
    I read that a subconscious program is installed until age 7, based on what the brain perceived in the environment.. then we start playing this unconscious behavior over and over because that’s our basic program.
    If you had a safe environment when the program was set, you will drive a good safe program, attract good situations and people etc..
    When you were not safe( all kind of reasons) your brain will start giving you pains and symptoms because it’s job is to protect you. I always wondered why I was the one who always was in abusive situations.
    Now I know,it’s not my fault, the data were not safe and WE are the ones who can step out of this old destructive program, the healing is really within us..
    Just my vision /thoughts on this.
    Happy Healing Tuesday Dan ( cold) and everyone ❤

    Hey Dan, how about perceived danger disguising as dread.
    As I drag myself out of bed this morning, (after eating junk for the last few days) I'm dreading my morning exercises. I was listening to your message and the thought came that dread can also be perceived danger. When I looked at it that way, it was easier to motivate myself. 🤔

    • @PainFreeYou

      Dread is the result of a brain perceiving danger and as a result, not wanting to do difficult things.

    Hi Dan, two questions from The Netherlands. Do you know if this method is also applicable for menopause symptoms. The drop of oestrogen in women can cause a lot of nasty symptoms that are coming and going such as pain in joints and muscles, tiredness, mood swings, nausea and more. There is a physical background but also a perceived danger component I guess.
    Second question: through this message of yours I get the feeling that I should be very hard on myself and beat myself up to do all kind of stuff whether I feel good or not. My way is more to check in to my body and feel whether I better go out and do stuff or give myself self compassion and self love and slow down a bit. The trick is to choose whether I ‘m hold back by fear or by a real need of rest and compassion. In case of fear it works to do opposite things, in case of being overloaded it”s time for rest and self compassion. Almost everyday is a combination of these two things in my case. What is your view?

    • @1STBUCKLEY
      @1STBUCKLEY 6 месяцев назад +1

      Post menopausal here I've used it for symptoms. Definitely think when you get hit with hormonal mad fluctuations the brain kicks up and fear sets up home and the what ifs start overloading and the cycle continues.

      Thnx for your reaction. Was it helpful?

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  6 месяцев назад +8

      No, I am not suggesting we are hard on ourselves. Perhaps I wasn't clear that MOST of this game is mindset. I do not suggest we torture ourselves to get well. But we do want to expand our capacity to do more. But doing more with the right mindset and calm reassurance as opposed to fear is key.
      The menopause question is interesting. What is impossible to know is how much of your menopause symptoms are truly from the normal hormonal changes versus the brain perceiving danger. You can't figure it out. But there is absolutely NO downside to making a decision that menopause does not have to be as difficult or painful as it is right now.
      Teach the brain safety all around. Focus there. Drop the menopause is causing ALL of this story. Yes, it can and does cause things. The severity is based on the belief that menopause is "nasty" as you said. Perceived danger is definitely at play. My fast start playlist will help. DansFastStart.com

      @@PainFreeYou as a matter of fact , some gynecologists are using mindbody ( downsize the catastrophizing and fear )already for people who don’t want or may not have hormonal therapy to treat the symptoms.. relaxation, and being less stressed about it, helps the body regulate itself..

    Are you able to explain why some people with chronic symptoms can get an improvement via the medical route and others can't? Surely it can't all be placebo effect especially as the trials are always done against a placebo pill/ infection?. I know people with chronic migraine who have had a 50% or more reduction in symptoms via medication whereas nothing works for me. Thanks

      I wouldn't believe any trial data tbh. Pharma paying scientists for the results they want.

    • @PainFreeYou

      What we don't know and the trials do not consider is the belief, expectations and fear levels for those that take the meds and get benefit. • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  6 месяцев назад +1

      The tension in your body is likely a result of your brain protecting you. From what? From a perceived danger. If the "injury" happened a while ago, it has healed already. The perception of danger is creating the tension which is causing the body to make noises. Yes, it's all TMS. DansFastStart.com - to understand more of what is going on and what to do about it.
