Funkadelic records def stand on their own but Parliament records really don't capture what an incredible band they are!
George Clinton was like the conductor of a damn orchestra back then! I saw "Parliament-Funkadelic" (in quotations because it was honestly sad af) a few years wand I was APPALLED! George is up there still conducting the band and some of the new, younger members were straight up ignoring him! Dudes were soloing over each other, ignoring George's calls to take it down or end the song, and playing over his monologues! I know George is old AF, a drug addict, and generally just not a great human being BUT... He DEFINITELY knows how to work a crowd and how to get the most/best out of his band!
From that day, I swore to never see them live again, it was too heartbreaking to witness! George is one of the all time great American artists, an absolute LEGEND, and major contributor to the history of rock-'n'-roll!
i probably said this before but yes, this version of cosmic slop is better than the studio version. the live houston 1976 version that is. i ain't fooled by their costumes. they are way cooler than the village people when it comes to music and costumes. parliament is sweet sugar cane root beer. village people is a flat watery generic diet cola.
43 years later ... and this shit is still ahead of its time.
2023 The greatest show on earth. Thank you Mr. George Clinton. King of Funk hands down.Bigg Bozz of Joy rd. 313 Detroit
Hands down, best version out there, too bad Shider's mic wasn't louder for his solo
I could listen to this all day- so so funky and crisp!!!WOW
wow i just discovered this incredible piece of music,i'm spun out.
The Mothership Connection goes to ‘11’ and beyond brother, even in 2021! We want the funk!!!!!
This gave me chills. One of the best bands ever.
In the 70s we had some of the best weed and music and we knew how to have a good time thanks
Best weed, I don't think so. Best music 100% for sure. Don't forget the tabs.
@razthesnail5277 we had the best music for sure, well weed. Colombian Red, Colombian Gold both called "Bo" Jamaican pot it was green in color and the Mexican pot was brown. Pot gave you one helluva buzz
" BLACKNESS" in its truest form!!!!
Blackness has been subverted man (ok and whiteness) -- let's get it back on track brothers and sisters of the planet.
There is a distinct lack of black rock bands in the world!
@@thomascristo1819 fact

This is a masterpiece and a masterpiece performance.
They played in Denver 1975 on Halloween and it was a true treat... best concert of all times.
I saw my first Parliament Funkadelic concert when I was 10 in Detroit. Mothership Connection concert Olympia Stadium. I grew up loving their music. Great way to grow up.
Best live version of this song EVER!
Michael Hampton made some sweet music on that guitar! Nuff said!
Can you imagine being the band that had to follow PFunk on stage?
No. I couldn't! Lol
I once saw the Time follow the Ohio Players at a concert...and although I love both groups, and the Time gets busy,I bet it might have felt like that question you just posed.
The band would have to go above and beyond what P-Funk does on stage...an impossible feat 😎🤘
I've seen a lot of Parliament/Funkadelic concerts they either headlined or they were the only group.
Parliament Funk Adelic always closed the show and played for hours!
WOW ! This Live in Concert COSMIC SLOP is INCREDIBLE !
Love this tune, it’s pure music at its best 🎵🎵👍
Funkn' forever 2021, the best start right now
