    The sound is INSANE on this recording. Drum cymbals are crisp with a nice warm snare and the bass drum is solid hitting as a heart attack. The bass is nasty and funky, every thumb lick heard. Guitars are raw and electric, ringing out every decibel. Seriously sounds like this thing was recorded yesterday on top notch equipment. It has an amazing sound without being overprocessed.

    Jazz, Blues, Country and Western, Rock, Soul, Funk, Rap, Hip Hop. A legacy of music that from a magnificent culture. That is felt and heard worldwide and America is blessed because of it.

    • @spookrockcity
      @spookrockcity 3 месяца назад

      Country, Folk, and Western definitely did not come from black folks. It came primarily from the Scottish and Irish; which is where most of black culture and ebonics comes from due to them largely setting in the South.
      Go listen to Flowers of Edinburgh. That's a Scottish folk song.
      Also, whites have the best BBQ in the south before you try to steal that too.

    • @joyce2680
      @joyce2680 2 месяца назад

      @@spookrockcity
      You're right about the ebonics which I call ivronics that poor trash spoke.
      As for BBQ, those whites learned how to cook from the Africans in the kitchens who wasted no parts of any animal.
      This is what happens when all of American history isn't taught in these schools.
      The Irish would have starved into extinction. The UK's original I habitats were from Africa before the Anglo Saxons. If by the south you mean south of the Equator then you're on the right path.
      UK and Europe stole from every place on the globe and left death, disease, liquor, and famine while looting, raping and stealing.

    THIS version of Cosmic Slop, is (again, in my opinion) THEE absolute best LIVE song recording of all time!
    I'm definitely more of a Funkadelic fan than I am Parliament/Parliament-Funkadelic and all it's different iterations but this show is INSANE! So many people form their opinion of Funkadelic / Parliament without hearing these old live shows and it blows my mind! Funkadelic records def stand on their own but Parliament records really don't capture what an incredible band they are!
    George Clinton was like the conductor of a damn orchestra back then! I saw "Parliament-Funkadelic" (in quotations because it was honestly sad af) a few years wand I was APPALLED! George is up there still conducting the band and some of the new, younger members were straight up ignoring him! Dudes were soloing over each other, ignoring George's calls to take it down or end the song, and playing over his monologues! I know George is old AF, a drug addict, and generally just not a great human being BUT... He DEFINITELY knows how to work a crowd and how to get the most/best out of his band!
    From that day, I swore to never see them live again, it was too heartbreaking to witness! George is one of the all time great American artists, an absolute LEGEND, and major contributor to the history of rock-'n'-roll!
