@@dennisscott1610 you are absolutely lucky. I'd give anything to see them at this time. I'd give even more to see the og Funkadelic lineup with Eddie, Billy, Tawl, and Tiki.
I was there in 1978 when the "Mothership" landed at the Captial Centre in Landover Maryland. Mannnnnn! If you didn't smoke weed, you smoked it that night whether you wanted to or not. I was higher than high.

If I'm honest my favorite P-Funk songs are the ones where Glen gets to shine. The man was such an incredible singer and I wish he had a career of his own after P-Funk.

The unusual mix of gospel, funk, rock and soul -- the lead singer is extremely talented. The P-Funk's Mothership landed in my city once and I made sure I was there to see that show.
I saw the Mothership landed at Cole Field House at the University of Maryland in November 1976. Man, that was something I had never wished in my life! As other stated about Brother Glenn, he was nothing but pure church. I had not heard that kind of singing still days in church growing up in Georgia! He killed that testimony! RIP, Glenn. 🙏
Don't Let the disguises fool you. A lot of them are classically trained musicians. I seen a interview where Phillip Bailey & Ralph Johnson said Parliament blew them away on stage and they immediately went back to rehearsal.
You are absolutely right and they were waaaay ahead of their time. The singers were on point too. Sounds just as good and relevant as the 70s and 80s. Great music!
