- Very rusty antique lock restoration. This old rusty padlock was found in the woods. It was closed for 300 years. Padlock of the 17th-18th century. It was lucky that the lock had a key. I decided to restore an old rusty padlock. I removed the rust and cleaned the parts. I hope you liked my restoration.

Another fantastic claim from ReXstorer!
one of the most satisfying videos I've seen!
Super tare. 👍👍👍👍
Very nice Kishor bhai. We love your videos.
This is a “conservation,” not a restoration. But you did a brilliant job!
Too far gone for a restoration. But it is amazing that it still works.
Actually it's both, he restored it enough to make it function again, but just stuck to getting rid of the rust to conserve it and prevent further decay.
@@deniseboldea1624 Good point. 👍🏼
I see no con within anything that keeps people happy, the environment stable and famalies thriving without dangers of old! Loving life and awesome work as usual! 2022 loving life
Fez um chaveiro.... Decepcionante...
Awesome job.
Luar biasa gemboh puluhan tahun bisa bagus seperti semula
this padlock could be worth more than whatever it is locking in the first place..
I think it's not so old
Bravo Amigo!!! You have stone head for job. Sorye for my English. Hello from Serbia 🇷🇸
Remarkable 🙂
This is fantastic! Who could have known? It sure takes a lot of brushing to get all that rust off. I'm sure glad you have the right tools and know what you're doing. 300 years, oh, my. You are truly a fabulous craftsman and I'm so happy to see something you've brought back from our history. 👏❤😁
It’s perfect
Are you using boiled linseed oil ? Great job thank you🇨🇦
Thanks! Yes, I use linseed oil
These are the real restoration videos that we should be seeing.. Because you see the rust, the deformity, the beating, and the mileage of the object being restored. Not to mention, the amount of care and effort to at least make the item usable and give it some life. Which shows a lot of the dents and bruises left behind on the object.
Send this to the Lockpicking Lawyer and see if he can open it without the key!
I clicked on the video just to see how many coments before I saw a LPL comment. Bravo you 👏
Nice video.I wanted to see the parts inside this lock but maybe it was difficult to open because there was no option to open it
I've never seen a lock like this. The locksmith wo designed it was remarkable.
Well done. I'm surprised that mechanism still worked! Kudos!
Parabéns a vc restaurador !
Invejo a sua profissão !😂
Its allways interesting, what a locksmith, long time ago, was able to produce with his ancient tools. Now, you braught it back to live. Great work
Beautiful lock and a great restoration, I'm glad you kept it's looks and restored it's functionality. Well done!
An amazing restoration. Such very careful and sensitive work. Bravo to the craftsman!
Fantastic restoration on this old rusty lock and key. Your talent blows my mind. Everything that you restore is perfect. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to your next one.
Stay safe.
@ 2:31 when you put that metal piece in the glass measuring cup…is it just a piece of metal? What are the specifics of all that? Because I’ve seen other videos where they do something similar but nothing quite as simple as salt and water.

I do wonder if this padlock is more secure than MasterLock 🤣 send it to LockPickingLawyer for an evaluation 😄
What kind of sand did you use to clean the chain? Thanks in advance
Now send it to the lock picking lawyer to see if he can open it
Great comment 😂
It's amazing that items like this were made using primitive tools in the 16 and 1700s. And to be honest the locking mechanism seems pretty legit. If they had something similar to this now it might prevent some theft because it's not like a tumbler padlock that can be open with some clever tools. Maybe Master Lock should look at the late Renaissance early colonial era to revamp their locks. Great job of renewing this beautiful piece of History.
Thank you!
Sweet 👍🏻 👍🏻
7:00 I should call her 😢
Really good work! Where do you find these interesting rusty items?
I'm beginning to wonder that myself. Far too much stuff in the woods.
Metal detecting is a popular hobby and people have been losing metal items for thousands of years. The Bronze Age is a historic period, lasting approximately from 3300 BC to 1200 BC,then the iron age starts. So over 5,000 years of dropped/lost items to find in the world.
Um ótimo trabalho. 👏👏👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
*Excelente.
That key seems to be useless
Very nice job. I enjoy watching you videos. Where did you get the lock?
Thank you very much! Found with a metal detector
thats really interesting on how the padlock works especially considering the key acts like a screw essentially
Nice job. Love the lock💙
Thanks!
Do you sell the items that you restore?
Thanks for experience
Wow , it is amazing the engineering we had back then . We have gone backward in both style and function.
you are amazing
Excellent work! You're lucky the lock was found together with the key. I restored a similar one lately but in my case, I had to desolder it and take it apart :)
I can't believe it's 300 years old, more like 100 years, anything 300 years would of distingrated to nothing by then.
I have upgraded version of this lock and that's in a good condition
Very cool.😊
I believed the mey wasnt gonna come off instead it was surprising to see it actually came out
You have A LOT of things to improve. All you did was basically just cleaning the object.
Dude I'm having a mini stroke here watching you use a screw driver and hammer!!!! 😖
nice piece of history, i really like that you didn't try to change it at all. that key is amazing!
I found old iron chain from 1750....it's sooooo rusted and falling apart...what's the best was to restore or save it? I would like to get as much rust off without hurting or breaking the iron links and then preserve it ...any suggestions?????
Try vinegar and work the rust off bit by bit
I love the electrolysis process, it's SO fascinating!
So how is it working if you didn't open it up? Did you cut out that part of the video???
At 3:56 a Frank Zappa song came to mind - "Let's Make the Water Turn Black"
why suffer so much??? Put it in a tub with ultrasound and faster and more efficiently. Or fill in the vd. Then it is not necessary to clean from rust.
So f.... ing Great job! I would Like to buy it, if it's possible
Restoration? Are you nuts..? but you just unrusted and fix it not turn into brand new(totally fixed)🙄🙄
I have a shovel that's more than 100 a year old that I found in my grandfather's basement. I want you to renew it for me???
VERY VERY NICE work..... Beautiful tool
*whine*But you didn't do the inside like the other lock-how cool would it be to see the workings!*whine*🙃
Possibly 300 years old just chilling in the woods. How freaking cool is that? You should find someone who can give you a possible history. I appreciate all the hard work to make it useful again.
So awesome! New subbie here…you did a great job on this 😊
thanks!
Um... How is this a restoration? Does it look like it did when it was first made?
I also have this type of lock. Which is bigger than it.
Can i use a car battery for electrolysis? 🤔
I am really impressed by the ways you create this video! It’s extremely exciting!
Parabéns pelo seu talentoso trabalho
Bhai itne purane lock late kaha se hoo 😀👍
Bs, like all the other restauration videos on YT
I call bs on these “restorations”. This is the second one I’ve seen on this channel with the key in the lock. What are the odds of finding any antique lock with a key in it? Probably close to zero.
I have about 50 padlocks without keys. It is very rare to find with a key. One padlock had a different key
Dude how it has spiral threads on key of it is that old?
Your percistance and effort are incredible!
How do I arrange to send an item to you for restoration?
👍🏻🔥
Super excellent
👍👏💪🦾👍
you didn't opened/ restored it from the inside.
Amazing
Original maker and owner R.I.P.
This was a terrible restoration not trying to be mean but the lock still looks really bad
For something that old and rusty to be usable again is quite astonishing to me. It's like a museum restoration to show the original use and look.
Amazing
