- Measuring your loom for new heddles and reeds can be confusing! A lot of the numbers that we use when describing the size of a loom aren't actually helpful when you need to buy new heddles or reeds for your loom. Nancy goes over how to measure for wire heddles, string heddles, rigid heddles, and reeds.
You can find more information about looms on our website: woolery.com/
This was just great. Thank you.
Loads of information that comes in handy. Will be calling you to get replacement wire heddles now that I know how to measure them.
Great video. Thank you.
What do you weave?? Id like to see those wooden looms run but, what is the finest mesh?? I weave on machines with wire and up to 120 mesh . Always wanted to see textile looms run.
So for the metal heddle it's the bottom part of the top bar and very bottom of bottom bar,?please advise..thx
Good
are all reed depths the same? my loom (tools of the trade) has a space of 1/2" to hold a reed. thank you in advance
Hi Karen, no they can vary in size! There are some reeds that can be 5/8" which would just barely not fit in your loom. We suggest you call our customer service department to confirm if a specific reed will work for you!
@@TheWoolery thank you very much for your reply...it was quite helpful : )
