- Stream & Charge - Enjoy working while you stream your favorite music and charge your phone with the new DEWALT 12V/20V MAX Jobsite Bluetooth Speaker. The DEWALT Bluetooth Speaker will fully function with 12-Volt, 20-Volt, or DEWALT FLEXVOLT batteries and also comes with an AC power cord so it can be used corded. The cord plugs in where the battery would attach, so this is not a charger for your DEWALT batteries. At the time this article was written, the speaker has an MSRP of $99 bare tool.
For a small Bluetooth speaker, the dual 3-inch woofers deliver great sound with a good amount of bass. There are multiple items that set this Bluetooth speaker apart from others. The reinforced, impact-resistant housing and metal grille along with a robust carrying handle show the durability. Packed inside that durability are some cool features. The handle doubles as a mobile phone stand that holds the user’s device and displays the screen. An additional storage tray is available under the handle. Next to the handle is the USB outlet and the AUX input if you did not want to play music wirelessly.
Battery life with the 20-Volt 5.0 Ah battery was more than excellent. We used this Bluetooth speaker in cold weather each night by the fire for a combined runtime of over 12 hours and the battery still had one bar of 3 lit. Outdoors, the sound was still excellent with a good amount of bass. If you are looking for a nice durable way to listen to music and charge your phone, this is it! - Хобби
I typically listen to country radio thru my Bluetooth speaker with the phone plugged in. Me inside a 10' x 20' shed it works just fine. Nice looking unit and great review guys. Thanks
DeWalt is the goddamn best hands down man. Just the fact that they don't LIE and are so humble makes it such a great respectable brand for me. The fact that they claim 100 feet range when in reality, it is actually MORE than that, says a lot.
Love it! Music makes the day go by!
Just bought one, and it goes with me everywhere. Looked like ya'll are playing one of my playlists..lol
🤘
The Crow - respect.
I definitely saw Band FFDP haha
And*
I was lookin for this one but was sold out Idk it was that little.. i bought the toughsystem speaker for 179.99 and I love it
nice! finally a good, solid, decent size, easily portable, heavy duty speaker that runs off multiple battery platforms.
yes it is!
I use an app called tune-in-radio on my cell phone. It works really well.. Cheers
Great review, great channel 👍.....tough system for work, tstak for the garage....this one is not needed....
You got it covered.
Love this boom box!
Great review! 👍🏼
That clean Monte Carlo in the back though.
Nice small speaker. I think Dewalt did a great job offering a versitile speaker. I'd expect a new red one soon. I still use my big blue speaker from sharper image but the battery is shot and so I have to plug it in all the time now. Running off a tool battery is ideal. I just don't have any yellow tools or this would be on the Christmas list!
wait, no fm radio built in?
Looks like the Craftsman one I picked up a couple weeks ago. I know I they have the same parent company, I am rather pleased with it.
Nice review, gentlemen
Thank You.
If this had a radio id buy it in a second. I have the tough system and it is amazing, its size is NOT, and is its biggest downfall. Somedays i think ill just leave it in the van as i cant be bothered moving it about all day.
My pole barn siding kills the bluetooth. Good to hear.
sweet, ill take one
Not that it matters to me because I have plenty of chargers from DeWalt ,but does this Bluetooth charge the battery as well?
You cannot charge the DEWALT battery with this.
I just bought this today, but I will be returning it. It is well built, has lots of power, and syncs from a good distance. However, it has very poor high end. Anything near the top of the range, including voices, sounds muffled. As a long-time drummer, I can’t stand muffled cymbals. Sorry Dewalt.
Way too much mid for EDM and you're right on the muffled part too. Ended up getting a JBL Xtreme 3
Are you sure the USB port to charge a cellphone actually woks when the radio is using a 12v/20v battery pack? Some reviews I've read say that the USB charging port only woks when the radio is plugged into a 120v outlet.
It works with the battery.
I want to hear that monte run!
Its 100 percent stock with 7,000 miles on the car. Its pretty tame.
I don't have air conditioning in my car. Is it loud enough to hear my music over the wind?
Yes.
I have that monte with a carb LT1 swap
A Chicago winter is no joke, having said that; my buddy works outdoors during this time of the year and i was wondering if these batteries still work on 20 to -15 weather? I know some phones stop working below the 15 degree mark so if any info on this will help.
We are 5 hours north of Chicago and the batteries will work just fine. If they get down to the -5 degree area, they will be a touch sluggish until they warm themselves through use. You would only see that on larger tools. The only phone I know that stops working when cold is the Iphone.
Thanks, this is a big factor in my consideration for this item. . @@WorkshopAddict
How loud is ir
Pandora blues guitar legends
How does this compare to the new Ryobi you tested PAD01?
Specifically just the sound quality and the volume.
This is better
@@WorkshopAddict thank you very much, both are close in price and I have plenty of batteries for each, this made the choice easy!
Been looking for an opinion on this as well. Just ordered my dewalt speaker. Thanks!
Is there an IP rating for this? I've been checking every where, but no luck.
I am going to say no. I have been using it in our wash bay and it is not happy with the water. It still works, but the speakers are not happy being wet.
@@WorkshopAddict Thanks for the input! I was a bit leery about it not having any IP rating.
I would have been nice if they made it be able to charge the DeWALT battery when needed.
That would be a weird feature
Then the price would be more
Blasting some Tool on this one while I work.
Do any one know the name of the first song
Does it charge battery ?
does it charge the battery?
No
Saw it being sold for 150$ said I'll sleep on this purchase not right now. Already had 2 Dewalt batteries. Came back to the store and it was on sale for 115$ bought it right away. I was in the townhouse next door and my speakers were in the townhouse beside me it's a townhouse block so they share walls. door I could still hear my speaker at max volume. Bluetooth didn't cut out and me and my coworker were trying to drown out the electricians crappy music while we moved drywall😂
When will these be available? I keep checking Home Depot with no luck
They have been available for a while. www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-20-Volt-MAX-Bluetooth-Speaker-DCR010/307458484
Pandora and SD cards, although there is rarely any speakers with both bluetooth and sd mp3 player in the market. Except for the really cheap Chinese rechargeable "dj" speakers
A SD card reader would be neat on this. You are right, those are not seem much anymore.
What’s the off-road vehicle on the right side? Is that the Tumbler...are you Batman?🦇
Can-Am Maverick X3 XRS, Yes, we are Batman
I got one of these and within 6 months... the Bluetooth stopped working
Return it. 1 year full warranty, 3 year service.
The new ryobi speaker is def worth it
Can you play audio files from a usb flash drive?
Who does this?
@@kgb5351People with music stored on a usb you sausage!!!!
That looks great, but would be so hard to add a radio?
for jobsite use, I agree, people want a radio.
Cuts down on cost. Just use your smart phone
They have another model with a radio.
If it’s plugged in with a cord, does it charge the battery?
Unfortunately, no, it will not.
the plug in for the cord is behind where the battery pack would go so it would be impossible to have it plugged in and use the battery at the same time
No tape cassette? 😔
I hear rumors and rumblings that they may have that technology almost complete.
Novice here! Does that mean I can hear it with my wireless bluetooth ear buds 100 ft away from the unit? Thanks, Dan
I've been listening to Mortician a lot lately.
Omg first
cute, lets go back to the monte
It's a 1988 with 7,100 miles. Yes, 7,100....
@@WorkshopAddict love it, nothing like gbodys...
Sadly, been thinking of selling it.
believe u me, i have classics floating in various stages, i no longer capable of completing.. every day i look at them, every day go thru motions, should i sell... nah not yet... then yes then no
@@jimbo987 I understand that!!!!!
No sound sample ?
There sure is right at the beginning.
I rewound the beginning and missed it, my mistake ;) Thanks !
@@zerocochrane1713 No problem bud. I skip intros also!
MONTE CARLOS SS 🥶
Breaking Benjamin!
Whoes that at the beginning??
Basically useless if you don’t have a battery to charge the thing, audio isn’t very loud at max volume, much better deal getting a jbl Bluetooth speaker
Great review but too high tech for me. Now if it took cassettes I would definitely get it.
Shut up and take my money!
Damn wash those side x sides. Lol
Just got back from washing them just now. Sucked.
Barely 25ft range
Nice speaker But why bother buying a Bluetooth speaker when you might as well get the DAB Dewalt for Radio and just plug-in a Bluetooth receiver I guess it does have its market with some people as you can get radio over the Internet to your phone
Just bought one. Can’t hear the high hat on any of the songs. Terrible frequency range.
For anybody who actually wants to crank this on a jobsite all day in construction like I do… my 5 year old son and I were crankin Guns n roses on my kitchen and even he was sayin “turn it up louder daddy!” …. He’s 5.
So yeah I’m returning this thing because it’s for sure not what I need on a jobsite. Great for indoor things and something in the background maybe. Not meant at all for when you wanna crank it full blast hours at a time and be impressed how loud it is
It's a jobsite not a concert
Did it even play? Just a lotta talking had to keep skipping forward!.
There are many phones these days that are equiped with FM radio so I really don't see that as a big deal not only that I honestly don't know of any Bluetooth speakers that comes equiped with FM radio anyway.
Just get the radio with Bluetooth it's sooooo simple and better
Overpriced Bluetooth speaker with NO radio and no charger for the batteries. Shame on you Dewalt
I look at bluetooth speakers and quite a few of them are over $100. This works with the Dewalt batteries is what your really buying.
