For the storage bin all I did was put a little cut into the top. You can do the bottom as well of the door. Just wide enough for the cable to go through
THE DEWALT WORKHORSE RADIO HAS A LOT OF GREAT REVIWS. I LOVE IT BEACUSE IT WORKS HARD AND PLAYS HARD!!!! ILOVE ALL OF MY DEWALT PRODUCTS. THEY ARE ALWAYS READY TO WORK WHEN I AM.
The way I run this radio on the job site is as intended by DeWalt. I plug the battery chargers into the radio and nothing else Depending on charger It gives me 3 to 5 batteries charging on one cord + radio
It does the job, but it’s honestly not the best. I have a JBL smaller one that sounds a bit better, but this is far more durable and has the battery option and extension outlets which is nice. It is a job site radio afterall
Please do not buy this trust me. It will not last they have a circuit board issue, I am on my second one. It works great until it doesn't. It will turn on by itself and the controls will not work. You only have one year to get a free replacement. This is a common issue please read all negative reviews they are right. I own over a thousand dollars of Dewalt tools and this is my biggest regret. Trust me I am saving you a huge headache and money.
I think they could have made it a flex volt and given the option, but to find out it was just a power outlet extension and only works when it’s plugged in was disappointing. It makes sense for only 20V but I was thinking it too
Powering a proper 120v outlet with a 20v DC battery is a whole different league of complex for the design, not really what a simple radio does. And probably not even what the battery’s are rated for. But at least you do get the USB power.
I just got one of these radios. I do not have a smart phone or and "older" Ipod. Without a smart phone or the Ipod, am I able to listen to music other than the radio or should I return it?
@@dannyjohnsonsgarage I am an old school CD guy. I have no idea what and MP3 or an ipod (or is it ipad?) is? I don't even own a smart phone. My wife bought it for me but it sounds like it's for a tech kind of person. I am going to return it.
Only as a power extension, so if this is plugged into the wall then the outlets on the side will power the tv. The battery won’t power any of the outlets as the video shows

I HAVE DONE MY HOMEWORK ON THIS PRODUCT. AND I AM VERY IMPRESSED. I NEED TO BUY ONE AFTER I PAY MY RENT. TO KEEP MY LIFE INSYNC.
It’s not worth it. Eventually the buttons start sticking, starts to rattle by the receptacle and Bluetooth is a nightmare to connect to after a year.

I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. PLEASE CONTINUE TO SHARE YOUR TRUTH.
It sucks that you can't plug something into the side, for situations when you're in an area without hydro
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! GREAT VIDEO AND EDUCATION!!!! I LEARNED A LOT!!!!
Did you know how to reset this radio ?
Can I plug in or bluetooth an powered subwoofer for additional bass?
I don’t believe it will work that way.
Yes you can
And how long does it run
It goes days on the 5ah battery. It will depend on which battery is in it
@dannyjohnsonsgarage thanks. Unfortunately that's what we needed it for. Taking it back. Way too expensive for using as a radio.
So you know why mine won’t connect to Bluetooth, it will go to Bluetooth but the light doesn’t flash and connect to my phone.
It's a bit finicky. Try turning it off and on and make sure your phone isn't connected to anything else via Bluetooth.
how does it sound ??

All I wanted to know was does the music sound good. 😭
That’s messed up
What the hell. I tho u could use this to connect a work light without a outlet
But u can’t? Then why even pay that much?

@@dannyjohnsonsgarage i agree
It should work for a 20V MAX 6AMH battery
Or higher

@@stevehill5018 If you have the usb cord you could possibly use it depending on what music source you do have
