This whole rig will definitely be my next purchase minus the motion, but the whole P1 rig. Nothing but good reviews with this thing, built to last, probably last rig u would ever need.

Some other people who try copy what you do and piggyback your style with the final thoughts and the breakdown at the end of the videos do not have the knowledge of how the components truly work so people can see through when they are not honest and are most likely being sponsored or paid in some way for a biased/predetermined review. Vs you are not paid by any company nor do you get a kick back on the product and you do it because you are passionate about sim racing and like giving people the most accurate/detailed information you can to help people make a purchase before they spend their hard earned money whether on a $50 or a $5,000 product.
5:46 Maybe the "80" means 80 kg (per foot) which would be a common weight limit for good casters (the heavy duty ones on my server rack are rated for 320 kg per piece).
That review comes really handy for me because I am just mounting my P1X right now and have experimented with the pedal tray. I am quite happy with my rig. Even when I am still waiting for my SimuCube DD wheel and cannot try the rig in function. Thanks a lot for the review.
Waiting on my gt1 ti arrive tomorrow from simlab. My olny complaint is they didnt tell me till today my th8a shifter plate is back ordered. But i was available when i placed my order. Hopefully the throw in a couple free slot covers i asked for free. Being i spent over $550 plus another $17.50 to transfer my money to them which wasnt mentioned during ordering.
Hey Barry i have a question for you if you have the time. If it is too personal then by all means just ignore this. But did you have some type of career as an engineer or something? your knowledge on all of this hardware extends from basic hardware to electrical circuit boards and very advanced things in my eyes. You are so clear and concise about these types of things that my own mother enjoys watching your videos and she doesn't even sim race or ever plan to. she and i were so impressed we are curious how you became so knowledgeable. Thank you!
Barry, you should check out 4Play Racing. They make F1 pedal and seat accessories that can lift your pedals and angle your seat. It works great for $199.
Not sure why they didn’t put the pedal side brackets on the outside like the old one, other than that it would be scratching the outside and that would be visible. But if you need adjustability like that you can get the pedal slider with plate.

Hi Barry. I'm really stuck getting those plastic feet to pop onto the metal ball. I don't want to hit it with anything in case the plastic splits. How did you do it?
I tapped them in with a hammer on a solid surface, which was my concrete floor. They did not split. If you have a hydraulic press, you could press them in.
Barry, have you got your hands on the TR160? Curious how that compares to the P1x. A little cheaper and more readily available in the US. Wondering if it has any short comings in comparison
