Thanks for the video. Very clear. Just wired my 2023 RAV4. Better job than U-Haul would have done, and for some reason Toyota was going to charge over $1,000, because they said they had to run the wires all the way to the front. Maybe incompetent service department?
That's great.im Glad I could help.. don't forget to like 👍 and subscribe it helps me a lot...and congrats on the RAV4 .they can do so much...been towing 2200-2800 lb with ease...I will be posting some reviews and experience I had with towing soon..tks for the support..
Thanks for the video! Was wondering if there is a way to run the wiring through the bottom of the car so that I can permanently mount it next to the hitch?
The difference is because Toyota determines safe towing capacity based on assumed speed of towing vehicle. Our speed limits are higher in the USA, they assume we'll (be insane enough to) tow at 65+ mph, and at speeds that fast, a heavier load is more unstable. At speed limits outside the USA, the safe rating is higher. Alex on Autos did a towing test of 2000 lbs going from sea level up to 7500 ft ASL, nps - complete with temperature tracking. Worth watching for proof of concept.
Hey man, thanks so much for documenting this step by step!
Cool .. glad i could help...👍👍
@@samiboost404 we made it to the lake with all our kayaks and sup board 24 hours later so I'd say it was a success! 🍻

Thank Joey...you could drill a hole...in my opinion I think it's safer left inside.
Not clear. Installation you did on your break time..
? How can I help?
Toyota doesn't rate that model for more than 1500 lbs. gtw.
1750....for the hybrid in the USA....same RAV4 hybrid in Europe is 3000.. I normally tow around 2600 ..it does a well job towing those numbers...
@@samiboost404 thanks for the video. Excellent job.
