Started watching Korean films /Dramas way before lockdown. They are absolutely brilliant the storylines ,the acting, Im hooked, and dont watch anything else now. Im very very rarely disappointed , they touch on a lot off subjects that woulx be off limit to a lot of film makers. The acting is superb in most of them. You can keep Hollywood/ western films give me KOREA ALLL THE TIME.

Extremely entertaining! I've watched about 3/4 of this movie list. 😂 As far as k-dramas, I got hooked since my friend introduced me to "Full House" many years ago. Patiently waiting for "Sweet Home" season 3 and currently watching "Death's Game". So many titles!!

My first Kdrama was Healer 7 years ago and I never looked back. Have exclusively watched k dramas ever since. My absolute favorite is Goblin. My favorite on this list is Train to Busan. And that says a lot because I'm old and I've seen so many zombie dramas that I was actually sick of them and avoided them like the plague. But because Gong Yoo and Ma Dong Seok were both in it I figured I would try it. I would never have imagined it would become a favorite. But you can't go wrong with anything either one of them are in. And both in one drama? CHA-CHING!!!

Everything Korean is always better than anything out of Hollywood.
Praying that Korean film makers resist Hollywood’s influence and attempts to introduce unwholesome themes into Korean movies and dramas.
We watch Korean stuff because it is free of Hollywood excesses like unnecessary sex and violence that do not even enhance the storyline.

I do like K Drama’s, but how good they are is an absolute, but a matter of opinion. I only found two of the movies/tv series on this list interesting and one of them - Kill Bok Soon, I have already seen.
In my opinion, I would recommend a completely different list: Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Alchemy of Soul, Divorce Attorney Shin, Sky Castle (soooo good), Crash Course Romance, The Good Bad Mother, A Time Called You, My Holo Love, Queen of Tears, Ready Set Love. K- Dramas have reignited my interest in Rom-Com’s. And then there is Thai BL, but I guess that is a list for a different comment.

The writers, directors, and actors bring so much talent to the screen. The romance dramas are so well done that the feelings portrayed feel so real. The Korean film industry gives the viewing audience what they want to watch instead of cramming the “ woke” culture down the throats of the audience. Yim Si Wan has turned into an excellent actor. He looks so beautiful and delicate but can switch to demented effortlessly. Hard to see Parasite and the other movies since the death of Lee Sun Kyun. He has been great to watch. Many good actors in Sth Korea. Remember Hollywood is responsible for mountains of trash. It is not synonymous with quality. Far from it.
The Man from Nowhere (2010) amazing fighting and violence. The Host (2008) good horror/scifi and A Frozen Flower (2008) an historical drama with some of the most beautiful music I have heard, but I doubt it would be made now as since then Sth Korea has regressed into conservatism and the horrible patriarchal values that has always soured and blighted anything from there. There are many movies and dramas that have been excellent. Just a shame they dislike women so much. There are some great women action/fight vehicles (My Name was fantastic) but the casual, constant misogyny is very distressing and disturbing. Also not to good with animal welfare either. And in desperate need of some originality. Been flogging the same story lines for decades. Except for Bruce Lee, some of the best fighting on screen ever imo.

Totally agree. The content in Korean shows is lacking originality with actors who look better than they can act. I'm kinda finding it harder to find really good pictures to watch now. Some begin so good but then just go downhill with some weak, stupid females and the writers still don't seem to know how to create a good ending. Just my opinion

For several years now Hollywood has set the bar pretty low. Too woke and too sexualized. K-dramas are definitely the way to go.

you also forgot the endless, one million time repeated scenes, flashback with sobbing or crying or into nirvana gazing scenes - genius who implemented ffwd button on all remote controls and apps 🤣 there is also many k-trash. agree too 🤣. I started to watch soo many and stopped after 1-2 ep. But there are definitely also good one, not so much but still my reason to keep me as kdrama lover.

I so agree with your comments. They need to develop their writing and stop with basically the same storyline. Just to add, don't forget the standard scenes, falling and being caught, someone being in hospital, breaking a heel, getting on the back of a male actor, getting drunk etc, etc etc.

K Dramas far better than Hollywood trash. Hopefully k darams don't go Hollywood. But sad to say the newer one are. I stick to before 2020 dramas, as news have more gay agenda. And sexual content

Could you just stop with the negative comparisons and insults. 🎉No way to treat an Ally! Or maybe you would like to fight with North Korean/China by yourselves? We lost approximately 36,000 troops last time 1953-1957. Quit it. Your president was here recently and America reaffirmed its support for South Korea.

But you mustn't let American money control your industry, otherwise you will lose all your industry to rubbish they bring to the big screen and small screen, please keep your individual and cultural freedom, don't forget your making money for them as soon as you are controlled by them you will lose everything..
