When it comes to solid writing form beginning to end, I feel these dramas did their very best. (Dramas below are not ranking, they wre just serial indication). 1. My mister - best emotional drama 2. Red sleeve - best historical romance 3. Misaeng - best and most realistic office drama 4. Weak hero class 1- best bullying theme 5. Mother - best mother drama (for me the original japanese version will always be number one, but this is also really great). 6. Flower of evil - best vicitim drama 7. My dearest - the greatest historical love story. 43. Revenant - best horror drama. 44. Alchemy of souls 1 - best fantasy drama. Part is also good given the FL left the drama after season 1 and writers still came up with fantastic story except part 1 is always the better version, but part 2 is also close. 45. death game- very solid and engaging writing, except I still believe that death shouldn't have punished ML because I have a good logical reason. I don't want to spoil so keeping to myself. 46. our beloved summer- very nice slow pace love drama. only good if you are ok with slow pace. 47. the guest- best horror drama 48. twenty twenty one - really great youthful story, especially the relationship between two FLs. Although at the end, I felt it would been better if there is one more episode to properly end the male leads story, but nevertheless the best one. 49. one dollar lawyer - a very fun law drama. 50. our blues- a healing drama. Although I personally felt episodes are too long and could have done in lesser time slot, but that's me. Others could have find pace perfectly normal. Regardless this is a nice drama but beware it is also very sad drama. 51. Summer strike - another healing drama, tad slow for me but might work for you. 52. good mother, bad mother- best mother-son relationship drama. Storywise it is really awesome, although I have fast forwarded only because ML isn't my favorite, but if I have to be honest, he and ra miran and the whole drama is really really good. You will enjoy this. 53. reset 2022 - a time fantasy drama. It is a chinese drama. This is kdrama list but this drama is too good for me to pass up. Especially the acting skills of the villains in this drama is top notch. I rarely like cdramas, but this one is the most consistent, not lagging, and logically a unique drama I come across. I really don't want people to miss this. 53. Twinkling watermelon - a nice time fantasy healing and youthful drama. 54. Lovely runner - a kdrama youthful love story that makes you feel the old kdrama vibes with goodness. 55. Pyramid game - a fictional intriguing bullying theme. 56. Beyond evil - the drama lives upto it's name. 57. Gaus electronics - a comedy drama after a long time that's actually a comedy drama and not just drama. 58. Salon de nabi - nice story about hairdressers 59 - connection - very interesting drugs and police drama. 60 - one ordinary day - the realistic drama of getting framed of murder and wrongfully accused situation. 61. Jeongnyeong a star is born - the best female drama about stage Play 62. Mr plankton - a light-hearted take on a journey of man who is about to die. 63. Good partner - one of the best divorce theme drama.
Our blues, it's okay to not be okay, 18 again, itaewon class, welcome to waikiki, hometown cha cha, start up, go back couple, when the weather is fine, rain or shine.......
Alchemy of souls and flower of evil are some of the best kdramas. Idk why mostly kdrama stories have a minor drop in pace around 11-12th episode and picks up again after 13-14. But in these two, there were zero dull moments, got my absolute attention from start to finish
I can't watch American cinema anymore. I still enjoy British but these Kdramas are so beautifully made. The acting is superb, the large scenes so physically beautiful... I'm spoilt for life. I would love to see more for the more mature audience. "World of the Married" was superb.
Same here! I dropped US film & TV on its head 2 years ago - so shallow, predictable, with cookie cutter characters & way too much testosterone, lol. Not to mention all those stultifying commercials! 🤪 Unique plots, terrific acting, great production values - K Drama for me all the way now! I hope they keep making lots & lots, & add second seasons to many. 💕❤️💕
I accepted that No kdrama can ever make me feel how "crash landing on you" did..I literally couldn't think of anything else for 3 days after finishing it..then I started to rewatch
Crash landing and goblin are still my number 1, i want to rewatch goblin but i gotta be ready to break my heart on the ending. First time i watched it, took me 1 week to moved on. Hahaha! The King eternal Monarch is good too, the chemistry is so intense! And i agree with Mr. Sunshine, the plot, the scenes is a masterpiece. The leads might not be the usual pair but you will fall in love with them. Mr Queen, Vinzenzo and Atty woo are really fun to watch.
@@PhyllisLigon-z8u idk whyy Goblin was a disappointment for me.I was 100% sure that I'm gonna love it but I wasn't that captured by it from the beginning and also didn't care much.I didn't even notice that I stopped watching it after maybe 8/9 episodes
I’m gonna say reply 1988 is still one of the most relatable and relaxing drama that I have watched. It was simply amazing, and all the casts and the acting were perfectly executed in the series.
I so agree with you! I really loved many of these, but particularly others like My Liberation Notes, Ittaewon Class, Secret Garden, StartUp, Our Blues, It's Ok to Not Be OK, Hometown Cha Cha Cha, Dear My Friends, Navillera, etc. My Mister was also brilliant. But REPLY 1988 was just the absolute BEST for me!!! Everything came together so beautifully, even though my heart bled for Junhwan.😔😔😔
Descendants of the sun, I'm not a robot, Hotel Del Luna, It's okay to not be okay, welcome to Waikiki There's a lot of great dramas and it's just a matter of who likes something better more, but it's strange that descendants wasn't on the list, it's one of the most viewed dramas
These dramas should be included: Reply 1988, Moon Embracing the Sun, My Love from Another Star, Mr. Sunshine, Kill Me Heal Me, Stairway to Heaven, Secret Garden, Hometown Cha Cha Cha, Itaewon Class, Doctor Romantic, It's Okay Not to Be Okay, Jewel in the Palace, My Liberation Notes, Goblin
Would you believe that i watched crash landing after almost a year that it started in netflix. Everyone was telling to watch it coz during those time i like series about drugs, suspense, Lost and grey's anatomy kind of showsAnd the last kdrama i watched was goblin, descendants of the sun and legend of the blue sea before crash landing. After crash landing 2020, that's it! I'm hooked in kdrama for almost 4 years now. My netflix subscription is sooo worth it! 😁
Most of the dramas on this list are relatively "recent" -- with the great HEALER seeming like the oldest. While I highly recommend HEALER, SIGNAL, FLOWER OF EVIL and ALCHEMY OF SOULS 1&2 from the list, I would have to include several others, that greatly contributed to Hallyu, such as my all time favorite: YOU WHO CAME FROM THE STARS, and also (just off the very top of my head) W TWO WORLDS, GOBLIN, KILL ME HEAL ME, CITY HUNTER, SIX FLYING DRAGONS, GAKSITAL, and many others that make lists like this only an appetizer. Additional favorites (partial list) that I highly recommend depending on mood: DEFENDANT FATED TO LOVE YOU I REMEMBER YOU TUNNEL DREAM HIGH QUEEN IN HYUN'S MAN KING 2 HEARTS GOURMET MY GIRLFRIEND IS A GUMIHO CHICAGO TYPEWRITER SPLASH SPLASH LOVE ...
more like the exact opposite. FoE being that high up is pretty sad and just shows regardless whether it's Korea, the US or Europe...the level of sophistication of live action movies/shows compared to literature is basically equivalent to fast food in regards to cuisine. FoE is an incredibly immature work which basically trivialises abuse for the sake of "romance" and romanticises the horribly trapped position a victim of domestic abuse is in. They even did it knowingly so, which makes certain choices even worse. Like, in the very first episode you have the drugged abused mother say (before everything came out): "I need my husband and child. Please don't do anything to us." and this scene is precisely mirrored when Detective Cha begs her colleague who found out not to arrest MC. He pretended to love her for 14 years, used her for 14 years, took advantage of her for 14 years and turned her entire life into a circus of lies that she became incapable of living without. It's one of the worst and most severe ways to completely destroy someone. He had her build her entire life around him, became the father of her child, became her support system - he might as well have become a serial killer - she still wouldn't have been able to let go of him. She'd have just been more miserable for it. The show writers are clearly aware of this trapped feeling - which is why they pointed it out in the very first episode - so why are they turning it into some weird "romantic spark" when Detective Cha finds herself in the same position. It's _tragic._ There's nothing romantic about it. And please don't mention any crap like: "He _did_ love her. He just didn't know!". If he didn't know then _his reality_ is that he was just using her. Also, you can't "grow out of" a personality disorder. His neighbour was annoying him, so he killed his pet bc killing the neighbour would have been too difficult. Did the show put that in only for us to ignore it? "No emotional empathy _but high cognitive empathy"_ The show mentioned that, and it's a fair assessment...is the audience supposed to just dismiss that, too? Are we also supposed to ignore how his charming smile was nothing but a mask that he practiced in front of the mirror? He clearly does have a personality disorder and he clearly does have no emotional empathy. Why is the show trying to sell this childish fantasy that people like him "actually do love, they just don't know"? And, btw, why does an adult man who _clearly_ has a dysfunctional avoidant attachment style cry so much? He'd never cry, even if he felt like crying. Detective Cha's reaction initially made sense...but it was still lacking. Especially in regards to what such a monumental betrayal of trust would do to a person. Also...why did she never bring up the fact that she found blood stains in the basement? What, so as long as the husband isn't a serial killer...there's no need to care about what he does in his basement or why whatever he does leads to blood stains? The first half of the show (until around ep10) was good. After that it's quite the toxic and deranged cluster fuck. A decent watch. But not worth recommending, really. "Heavy/serious subject matters" and "primitive and imprecise portrayal" is a horrible mix. If this is what is considered "peak" these days...the best recommendation I can give is: read a book. But, tbf, there are KDramas like Children of Nobody, for example, that are a lot more mature and actually do a good job of portraying things realistically, actually do treat serious topics seriously and with respect, and don't take some deranged spin on things for the sake of immature drama
@@bexclue3007 ok I get your point, but I think it's more realistic that way and for some people it's not so black and white... it's why so many victims male or female have difficulties leaving relationships with a breakdown of trust or abuse...
@@SM-ce1uy "it's why so many victims male or female have difficulties leaving relationships with a breakdown of trust or abuse..." Yes, that is true/realistic. I wouldn't have had an issue with the show if they had portrayed that realistic scenario _in a realistic way._ Meaning how much of an issue it is for victims instead of _romanticising_ the whole situation. That just makes it toxic and deranged. And it doesn't matter if "it's not that black and white" for some people. Most rape cases in court aren't black and white, technically speaking. Doesn't change the _fact_ that he was horribly abusing and taking advantage of her. That _is_ black and white. People are free to get swept up by the romanticised portrayal and can choose to _not_ judge the ML bc he's the attractive ML of the show but that's more proof of how toxic the portrayal of that part of the story is, if nothing else
Flower of Evil is simply a masterpiece imo; I cannot even put it with the others lol and Beyond Evil (not in this video) is also a masterpiece...from this video I can say that my favourites are Happiness, Under the Queen's Umbrella and Crash Landing on You
I thought the synopsis they gave in this video regarding "Under the Queen's Umbrella" did it a disservice. The Queen's umbrella is NOT just for her sons. The Queen protects ANYONE she sees as a good person, which is shown time and again, and often to people who thought the Queen was a foe.
I watched both Flower of Evil and Beyond evil. Even though I loved Flower of evil, the last episodes started having holes in the story and some scenes (in my opinion)were horribly executed. Beyond Evil was a true masterpiece and the main actor did an excellent job. I’ve watched it twice.
@@Queen1Kingdom I agree! I've seen Beyond Evil 3x now and it just gets better with every viewing, so well acted and constructed. And what other serial killer series reveals the serial killer halfway through! Also agree about Flower of Evil, the final episodes were disappointing after such a thrilling start.
I have watched 60% of these dramas and I must say, this is a great compilation. Flower of evil, glory, Mr. Queen and happiness are a must watch. I just can't get over flower of evil, it's a masterpiece
Nothing can match the "Flower of Evil". Highly recommended. I'm still not able to get over this series. This will always be at the top of my kdrama list.
My all time favourite is ‘Kill Me, Heal Me’ with Ji Jung, Hwang Jung Eum and Park Seo Jun. This drama had me both laughing and crying as the superb actors took us through a compelling story of a man suffering through multiple personality disorder. Ji Jung portrays his 7 personalities with both humour and sadness making the viewers in the end loving each of them. ‘Kill me, Heal me’ is a must watch Kdrama!
Reply 1988 is a masterpiece. I have never seen another serial with so many character, each one with unique traits of their own and every one of them getting equal screen time. Not to mention the different dynamics portrayed between character, the comedy - everything!. The writers of that series deserve an award for making a series where there is no single evil character and yet plenty of conflict to keep it entertaining.
Lee Je Hoon is a BRILLIANT Actor. 2 of his dramas are very worthily on your list, but I would also suggest his 3rd drama - Taxi Driver. Season 1 was excellant and Season 2, currently airing is just as gripping. I am so happy that the series Move to Heaven is No. 1. Not one with romance and fluff or action, it was the most unexpected drama in 2021. I will not be able to do a repeat viewing since my 1st watch was a binge-watch and I was emotionally drained and surprisingly lighter in my heart with hope and a smile. It was SUBLIME and Perfection.
Me too. I cried a river on a couple episodes of moved to heaven. However, I was disappointed at the ending of Signal. Currently watching Taxi Driver S1.
I've honestly had a hard time finding ANY Kdrama that lives up to the romance, angst, and humor of Crash Landing on You. The actors nailed the friendly and romantic and natural chemistry between the characters... I've successfully used it to get my mom AND my pastor's wife hooked on KDramas. Healer was my first Kdrama and also very good from what I remember. I'm surprised Goblin wasn't on here, as it seems to be a classic favorite... although I probably preferred Doom At Your Service
Crash landing was too corny and cheesy. They dragged episodes so much unnecessarily without any valuable context other than the two being hopelessly romantic and romanticizing over each other. It was boring and cringe worthy.
I LOVE Crash Landing on You!! It was my first ever K-Drama, and I’ve been watching the K-Dramas exclusively for well over a year. I have watched CL on You twice, and have promoted it to friends and family. I also loved Crash Course in Romance, Mr Sunshine, and The Extraordinary Attorney Yoo. I’m SO looking forward to new seasons of some great K-Dramas…like EXTRAORDINARY ATTORNEY YOO! Peace and Love, Cheri
@@riaroy4686 My Liberation Notes (think it was the same writer). Little hard to get into, little slower, but real. Something In The Rain divides people. They love it or hate it. Either way, it will provoke you lol.
Crash Landing is the best Kdrama ever. It has everything, supporting cast, music, drama, lol moments, location, and a love story that has no comparison. It is the only drama that I recommend to new viewers of Kdramas. It is the one that gets them hooked and they will watch others.
I literally just started re-watching Crash Landing on You again yesterday, am 4 episodes in (I wish I didn't know how it ended and was just discovering it for the first time).
@charlottesmom it's OK that you know the ending. It doesn't change the emotions of that moment. I still watch Cloy and cry at almost every scene in episode 16. It is an amazing drama and one that you can watch over and over when you want to take a break from dramas that have endings that don't make sense or that are downright horrible.
true for me! and also much earlier Hyun Bin series "Secret Garden" which is my all time favourite romance/fantasy ever! Ive already watched it 3 x and I'm quite new to K Drama too. I also like Healer and K2.
how can you live out VINCENZO!!! I'm going to have to mention that THE GLORY is one of the best film noir productions worldwide!!! This series could compete with any film noir out of Hollywood or England. The tone set by Song Hye Kyo, a woman suffering from extreme PTS from the horrific bullying she received while a teenager, is one of the most profound performances in Korean cinema. IF you look at the faces of holocaust victims from old WW2 pictures, she has replicated the exact emptiness you see in their faces. I think this is her best performance of her career- can't wait for season 3
I find the Glory to be overrated. It's just not my cup of tea atm. Just because one finds it good, doesn't mean that it's also good for the other person. I just stay away from prices to the heaven, until I watched it myself, someday.
Not on anyone else’s list but I thoroughly enjoyed “The Kings Affection,” another period drama with the stunning Rowoon and Extraordinary Atty. Woo’s Park Eun-bin as the male and female leads.
Extraordinary Attorney Woo helped me realise I am probably autistic... I related a bit too hard to Young Woo... yesterday I spent 5 minutes telling a total stranger everything I know about naked mole rats.... sent a video of Young Woo talking about whales to my sister and her reply was "its eerie" because of how similar my behaviour is...
So I have watched over 96 K-dramas. I have to say best 15 is not easy to choose. For me in no particular order after 1st four :) 1. The Empress Ki 2. K2 3. Moon Embracing The Sun 4. My Love From Another Star 5. It's Okay To Not Be Okay 6. Crash Landing On You. 7. Vincenzo 8. Hotel Del Luna 9. The Royal Gambler 10. The King Eternal Monarch 11. Tempted 12. My Country A New Age 13. Uncontrollably Fond 14. I am Not A Robot 15. Mine 15.b) That Winter The Wind Blows 15. c) Love In The Moonlight 15. d) Healer 15. e) Beyond Evil
I've watched many Kdramas too but I just dont remember all of them. I am a binge watcher so I watch many shows at a time and this is why I dont remember them later onwards until someone brings them up.
As someone who has been watching kdramas for 14 years, hands down Empress Ki was my favorite drama! It’s like 51 episodes and I binged it 3 TIMES! Another I really love was Reborn Rich with Song Joong Ki. The plot for that drama was sooooo good, gave me chills.
Love Kdramas the first one I saw was Crash Landing on You. Fantastic! Once you start you’ll only watch Kdramas. The actors are beautiful , the stories are also……. Just one PROBLEM……will I ever catch up on my sleep?😏😁🙃 love there culture. Hope it never changes. Love to visit Korea some day. 😉
That’s the problem, you will never recover. I started watching goblin just because my boyfriend forced me too. Next thing I see is the sun rising after 6 1hour 12 minutes episodes. Nothing to do but shower, breakfast and go to work 🤪
I'm retired nurse am on a farm now having trouble pulling myself away from screen at night or rainy or high wind days not getting stiff done addicted a bit...
YES!! Mr. Sunshine is currently my favorite one, I love Historical dramas, but this one is on another level, the history is so well written and all the characters are unique. The female protagonist is non other than Kim Tae-ri, she made an astonishing performance with Lee Byung Hun, who’s also in Our blues! The quality of this drama is amazing and I truly love and sympathize with the characters throughout the story.
I don't understand how a list like this can leave out absolute gems such as Reply 1988, Beyond Evil, Goblin, Vagabond, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, 100 Days My Prince or Psychopath Diary. These are extremely popular too. Some of the titles on this list I haven't even heard of.
Tomorrow had me crying every single episode, covers so many hard topics. Are You Human Too? Is another great one. Covers so much of what it means to be human, and Seo Kang Joon's acting is AMAZING.
For me 'The Devil Judge' is the best drama of all times. It is SO powerful and the plot twists come one right after the other! Its psychological aspect and the traumas it represents are also extremely interesting and give food for thought... I highly recommend it!
I agree! I was going to add in the comments. It is one of the best written dramas; it keeps you engaged from beginning to end; great casting and acting.
That is the Beauty of any list made today so many Remarkable Shows made now and lists get harder to make all I can say is I have a top emotional Tier that just I love but they are heart Breaking and Heartwarming in the same breathe No order top 5 for sure Goblin Crash landing on you and After this weekend Mr Sunshine Its okay to not be okay and More than Blue the Series.... each of these shows took me days weeks to heal my Heart Love each of them
For the past few months, I have been watching nothing but Korean dramas and comedy series...to the chagrin of my poor husband because he can't get into them and I must say, "Crash Landing on You" is the best Kdrama to date. It had some great comedy in it as well with a perfect all around cast of characters. I wish it had a better ending but I have come to expect really odd, unsatisfying endings in Korean shows. Alchemy of Souls is another one that is right up there with the best of Kdrama shows. I am a huge fan of Jung So-Min too. Another favorite is Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Really fun to watch but unfortunately it was dubbed over instead of sub-titles. I prefer sub-titles because I like to hear the persons original voices.
Guess we're in agreement as I've watched all but two on the list. I do feel that Strong Woman...should be on the list as just a fun drama (the chemistry alone!) and also Hospital Playlist!
My Liberation Notes. StartUp, Ittaewon Class, Secret Garden, It's Ok To Not Be OK, Hometown Cha Cha Cha, Dear My Friends, Navillera, Hospital Playlist, Don't Dare to Dream, My Mister, Another Miss Oh was fantastic too. But my absolute best was REPLY 1988!!! Everything came together so beautifully and it really seemed to capture the time perfectly. My heart bled for Junhwang, though I love the period dramas too, particularly Scarlett Reo..., The Crowned Clown, Hwarang and even Rookie Historian.
Goblin, Hotel Del Luna, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, W, While You Were Sleeping, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, Beauty Inside .. and although I haven't seen the next two, everyone raves about Descendents of the Sun, as well as Hwarang. It's so hard to choose! There are so many great Kdramas!
Hotel Del Luna, Strong Women, and WWWSK were really great. DOTS was pretty good, a little overrated IMHO, and Hwarang was extremely overrated, even though I love Park Seo Joon. Go Ara's acting is really hard to take and I almost could not complete that drama. There are a lot of other great dramas to watch, so I can't really recommend you spend your time there.
Under the queen's umbrella is underrated, I felt all the emotions can a mother went through to save her children and make them stronger and successful on their way, the queen's character is refreshing brave and wise, the family bond was amazingly portraited unlike other historical dramas that show how far royal members are..highly recommended
Under The Queen’s Umbrella is absolutely amazing. It has everything : Drama, comedy, angst of forbidden love, murder, redemption, loyalty, betrayal, happiness, a mother’s grief, intrigue and a stellar cast to portray these things. I found myself on the edge of my seat to see what would happen next.
@@lauragarcia7158 yeah you never feel bored the plot twists are amazing and the cast is well picked especially the queen I just love Kim Hyee Soo one of the best actresses
Oh yes, kdrama is deep and the acting is so superb and as an American this is all I watch anymore as it makes all other shows really bad for acting. The stories are deep and the romance is amazing without any nudity or cheapness of the relationship. I can't say enough good things about Korean actors. They are amazing!
Some are missing here like Reply 1988, Misaeng or Mr Sunshine. These are masterpieces in all aspects. And Hogu's love is also such an underrated gem: Choi Woo-sik in an amazing performance in 2014
Misaeng, yes! I'm so happy I found it weeks ago, I bingewatched all the 20 episodes, everything is so good! And Yim Si-wan is such a great actor. He also plays the male lead in another light romance: Run On, which I loved watching too
Hometown Cha Cha and Crash Landing were both a lot of fun, but the one that blew my socks off was Misaeng. I usually prefer romcoms but Miseang grabbed me from the start and never let go. Thanks to all the commenters (1,066 comments, er 1067) and look forward to watching some of the recommendations, or at least the ones that are available to me.
My first ever Kdrama wax Hometown cha cha cha.I am completely enchanted by Kim Seon, the lead actor.Crash landing was also superb and so was crash course in romance.
Itaewon Class and Our Beloved Summer were my first kdramas. They made every Kdrama I watched seem silly, with the exception of a couple on this list. I gave up on Kdramas for awhile, then watched and fell in love with Reply 1988, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, and 25/21. Differences in taste, notwithstanding, I find it incredible that the dramas I put in a higher class of their own, were completely excluded.
Itaewon class is amazing, for sure. Personally I got hooked with Crash landing on you, have you seen it? First episode is a bit difficult to get in to and then it just sucks you in. Juvenile justice, hyena, stranger, navillera & sound of magic are all beautifully told stories as well.
I can't believe 'The Tale of the Nine Tailed' and 'The King: Eternal Monarch' weren't on the list. The production were so good. Both the dramas had me mourning for a long time after they ended.
I know not everyone likes the historical dramas set in the Joseon period but Mr Sunshine was my first and will always be my favorite Korean drama . Kim Tae-ri and Lee Byung Hun the two leads along with the rest of the cast were spectacular. The story was profound
I am so happy that Move to Heaven is #1 on this list! It's actually my fave kdrama of all time!!! I would also include Reply 1988 and Hometown Cha Cha Cha on the list.
Glad you put move to heaven at #1 cuz i notice that its rarely mentioned as a favorite. The story & acting are top notch, especially Tang jun sang gave a very moving performance
Let me say which which drama is best in different catagories- *)Crash landing on you - Best millitery drama *)Alchemy of souls ( both season) - Best fantasy drama *) Because this is my first life - Best slice of life drama *) Mr queen - Best historical drama *) True beauty - Best school drama *) Tommorow - Best insperational drama *) Happiness - Best modern zombie drama *) All of us are dead - Best zombie drama *)Business proposal - Best office romance drama *) Vincenzo - Best law-crime thriller *) Flower of evil - Best psychological thriller *) The glory - Best revenge drama *) Revenge of others - Best school revenge drama *) Doom at your service - Best romance fantasy drama with dark comedy

1 moon lovers scarlet heart ryeo 2 alchemy of souls 3 the king eternal monarch 4 love ft. Marriage & divorce 5 memories of the alhambra 6 what's wrong with secretary kim 7 business proposal 8 its okay to not be okay 9 love to hate you
I agree with every single one drama in this list!! But definetly I couldn't agre more with FLOWER OF EVIL, it is by FAR the best korean drama I have ever seen (and I have seen a lot lol) but everything about Flower Of Evil is just PERFECT!
While it was absolutely excellent because it kept us wondering throughout the whole drama about the truth behind the secretive behavior of the husband , it wasn't completely perfect. I remember that the last episode with the final confrontation between the two men, was dragging those scenes a little too much. But yes, otherwise the drama is extremely memorable.
1. Goblin 2. Taxi Driver 3. Train To Busan 4. Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 1&2 waiting for 3 5. Alchemy of Souls 6. Kill Me Heal Me 7. Sweet Home 8. Move To Heaven 9. The Devil Judge 10. Doctor John 11. Vincenzo 12. Itaewon Class 13. Stove League 14. Missing: The Other Side 15. Silenced a/k/a The Crucible (a hard watch but true story)
You have listed all of Ji Sung’s great works! He is one of my favourite actors, his eyes express a world of emotions! Kill Me, Heal Me is my favourite show. I have watched this so many times and never fail to feel every moment of stress, happiness and sadness. It truly is a Kdrama masterpiece. I love your selection as your tastes are very similar to mine!
@@mariannekresse4957 Well, I didn't list them all. But certainly the best ones. Though no drama with Ji Sung is ever bad. I know what you mean about his eyes. Even through a tv screen he makes you feel like he's looking deep into your soul. I'd never be able to handle it graciously if I meet him in person. I'd end up in a puddle of primordial goo at his feet.🤣🤣
I'm surprised 'Its Okay Not To Be Okay" wasn't on the list, that one was amazing. Still on top is 'Crash Landing Into You', the leads were fantastic! Notable runners up: 'Numbers', '100 Days My Prince,' 'Her Private Life', 'Crowned Clown', 'Because This is My First Life', 'Red Sleeve' of course the awesome 'Alchemy of Souls'.
I'm watching korean, Japanese, Thai dramas like about 13 years now (have never counted how many did I see, but I think not less than 2000). So I have a lot of favorites like "Mr. Sunshine", "Sky castle", "Mouse", "Signal", "Wise prison life", "DOTS", "Its okay, that's love", "Married life", "Move to heaven", "Mr. Queen", "Bulgasal", "Hospital playlist", "Itaewon class", "My Mister," "Bridal Mask", "Beyond Evil" "King two hearts", "Our blues" etc etc BUT there's one drama, that is number one since 2015 . It's Reply 1988. I've watched that drama 3 times and each time I discovered new things, each time I watched that with different feelings, each time I explore that drama world from a new angle.
Yes yes yes to both Reply 1988 and Our Blues. Considering the title of the video, it's quite odd that Sky Castle, Reply 1988 and Mr. Sunshine weren't mentioned - they are so well made and were loved by both public and critics.
I was kind of surprised Coffee Prince wasn’t listed anywhere. Maybe not on the list of 15, but even in comments no one mentioned it. It’s not my favorite but it is widely beloved.
My personal fav list: Crash Landing On you Welcome to Waikiki 1 Gangnam Beauty K2 One Spring Night Nevertheless Rookie Historian Gu Hae Ryun True Beauty
Over these many years here are my favorite k-dramas… Heard if through the Grapevine, Reply 1988, Reply 1994, Fated to Love You, A 1000 Days Promise, Signal, Pasta, Attorney Woo, Incomplete LIfe, The four Seasons series, My Liberation Notes, Green Mother’s Club and My Mister.
@@saras.5619 My favorite TV series bar none! So glad I’ve come across someone who appreciates it like I do. Superior entertainment...I won’t say how many times I’ve watched it!
Yeah, based on the title, I thought the list would include titles like Sky Castle, Misaeng (incomplete Life), and the ones you mention in your comment. Was surprised by the choices
15. the glory 14. twenty five twenty one 13. healer 12. happiness 11. signal 10. crash landing on you 9. extraordinary attorney woo 8. mother 7. mr. queen 6. under the queen's umbrella 5. my mister 4. alchemy of souls 3. flower of evil 2. weak hero class 1 1. move to heaven
My favs on the list are: Crash Landing on You( watched 3 times), and Move to Heaven. Not on your list but highly recommend Itaewon Class, and My Liberation Notes! Love Son Suk Ku💕6/14/23 at 8:45 EDT
16. The Glory 15. Twenty Five Twenty One 14. Healer 13. Happiness 12. Signal 11. Crash Landing On You 10. Extraordinary Attorney Woo 09. Mother 08. Mr Queen 07. Under the Queen's Umbrella 06. My Mister 05. Alchemy of Souls 04. Flower of Evil 03. Weak Hero Class 1 02. Moved to Heaven 01. Island
Agree with most of them and I would add: Jewel in the Palace(2003), Bethoven Virus (2008), Gourmet (2008), The King 2 Hearts (2012), Empress Ki (2013), Good Doctor (Korea 2013),Dr. Romantic (season1,2016 & season 2, 2020),River Where the Moon Rises (2021), Mr. Sunshine (2018) and The Red Sleeve (2022). Some of these are what I call, not so known hidden gems!!!
I miss Bulgasal- Immortal Souls, one of the best Korean series I have ever seen. Everything was just right, even just the insanely good camera work. Then I also like Alchemy of souls, Flower of evil, Taxi Driver and others.
Itaewon Class, Mr.Sunshine and Bulgasal: Immortal Souls should be on the list too. Couldn't stop thinking about these stories after finishing these shows. Loved them.
There are so many great Kdramas. To have a list of 15 seems unfair but this list is great! If I had to have a list, I would add Hosptial Playlist, It's Okay, That's Love, Beyond Evil. And probably all the others that are in comments LOL
Some suggestions: Best family drama - Be Strong Geum Soon Best political drama - Punch Best historical palace drama - Yi San Best historical healing drama - Dae Jang Geum Best spy action drama - IRIS 1 Best office comedy drama - Super Rookie Reason for my above choices: they may be older…. but most unforgettable. I also love My Mister, which has a very fresh storyline and great acting by IU. ❤
After watching The Glory everything is just alright. That drama was so good, and the actors did so well! I had to re-watch a couple of times and I need more episodes!
Tolles Ranking!
Another Miss Oh......is a classic. Also..Fated To Love You is well acted, funny, and the story is extremely touching. Others.....Something in the Rain, MISTY, Hyena, Love Affair in the Afternoon.....All amazing dramas I can watch over and over again.
I don't see MISTY mentioned that often but I absolutely loved it. The song in it, 'Painful Love' is beautiful and gets me going every time. I would sing along with the lyrics version of the song on you tube and it helped to start understanding odd words here and there in Korean. I want to learn it properly now.
I’m currently watching Healer for the 6th time… certainly my all time favorite… I’m more into heartwarming, comedic romance, as opposed to dark/sad stories, so, if you are like me, wanting a good laugh and falling in love with love, I’ve watched and recommend: Healer, Crash landing on you, Extraordinary attorney Woo, Mr Queen, Alchemy of Souls… Enjoy!
I recognize myself in that description, so thanks! I've watched two of the five dramas you list and agree on them, will most likely watch the other three soon!
That's literally me. I've watched some great dramas after healer but healer is still my comfort drama. Just love the balance of action and romance. And just rewatching certain scenes make me so happy.
-if it comes to thriller, beyond evil , the veil are my personal favorite. highly recommended. -if it comes to cominf-of-age, 21-25 steals everything. No drama can beat it. -if it comes to supernatural powers, uncanny counter. -if it comes to fell good drama, Itaewoon class. -if it comes to zombie drama, all of us are dead, Happiness -if it comes to action, I personally like bloodhounds. Short and full of action scenes. -if it comes to romance, Buisness proposal, whats wrong with my secretary, i personally like Dr. Romantic season 1 . They have changed the cast in season 2 ,so i was very dissapointed. season 1 is quite underrated.
Gotta nominate Because This Is My First Life. Stellar cast and great look into feeling lost and unaccomplished in yours 30s when it seems everyone else has got it together but you don’t. The romance was also mature but passionate. And there were some great scenes jabbing at some Korean social norms, notably how daughter in laws are expected to act.
Bulgalsal: Immortal Souls is still my number one Kdrama. It had everything: fantasy, mystery, action, horror. The ost, scenery, costumes really added to the atmosphere of the drama. The relationships in the drama I could really feel. The chemistry was believable. The storyline is one that felt extremely unique, and it had so many twisted and turns through out the present and jumping into the past. All the pieces didn't come together until the very end. I loved this drama. ❤️
Love❤ KDrama. So NOT Hollywood! At least not yet, but have noticed a loosening of moral values and wokeism creeping in lately. Healer, Signal, Crash Landing On You, Okay Not To Be Okay, Taxi Driver, Crash Course in Romance, Descendants of the Sun and Vincenzo. Recommend them all. It’s how drama ought to be. Good, clean escapism.
Define “moral values.” Vincenzo has a lot of killing in it. I wouldn’t call that moral. :) (It’s one of my favorites, by the way. I just find that a bizarre take of morality.)
There are so many great ones I would also add to the list: What's wrong with secretary Kim, Goblin, She Was Pretty, Kill me heal me, Her private life, Itaewon class, Doom at your service, Reply 1998, Little women, True beauty, Business Proposal, Secret garden, Snowdrop, Destined with you
Nice to have some that I didn't watch yet. Some on the top of my list: The Nokdu flower (heartbreaking, historical) Mr Sunshine (nervwrecking, historical) My only lovesong (hilarious time travel) The pop up bar (Time travel, philosophical) I prefer period pieces and there are so many great ones...
My Only Love Song! That one is fantastic; I watched it ages ago and forgot about it til your comment reminded me ❤. I also love historical/period dramas. Ever watched My Country: The New Age? Its fantastic, but get your tissues ready 🤧Woo Dohwon is an AMAZING actor, I hope he'll do another historical drama again soon. ❤
Signal isn't just the greatest of Korean shows in my opinion, but it's one of the best shows period. I had to stop watching dramas for a year because it was so good; nothing could hold a candle. Gave me the "I've finished this show and now I don't know what to do with my life.' moment when I finished it.
They are the perfect couple with real life issues as well as learning how to communicate with one another. Please keep their relationship going throughout the entire series. It's nice to see how Jun-ho fell in love with Young-Woo all the way from the beginning of the season.
There are more than 20years since I've started watching anime, and than dramas: Jdramas at first, Cdrama next and then Kdrama and all the rest... I've seen so many that I can't even remember a lot of them. But I could not EVER make a top, because each had something for me. Some had more to offer than others, similar to reading books (I love stories beyond words). There will always be something of them staying with you after you finish them, good or bad, satisfying or not. I like to watch this tops, because I'm curious of what others like and in search for a next watch. Though I know all the actors from this list from their other dramas, I've only seen the first episode from Happiness (and it didn't work for me at that moment, although I'm sure I would go back to it sometime) and also tried to watch, a few times, Crush landing on you...so many people recommend it, hope to finish it one day. But I found some interesting in the comments, so I'm grateful.
I’ve watched over 100 also-crash Landing 1st-“Our Blues”-My Liberation Notes-Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha-Something In The Rain-Mr Sunshine-25/21Just too many great ones!
Excellent recommendations! I have seen almost all of them. 2 of those I have not watched yet were already on my list and 1 I had not heard about before. The Flower of Evil is really good and there is another drama of the same kind called Mouse with Lee Seung Gi which you should not miss if you enjoy that genre.
Agree re Mouse! It had me hoping, then crying, then happy, then in despair… so many things happen in this plot, it definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat and totally enthralled!
@@sherryannefelix3707 I have seen all three but left 'beyond evil' because I thought it was boring. I'll rewatch from where I left and see if it should be in the same category as "flower of evil" and "mouse".
Coffee prince, scent of a woman… so many great dramas. Now I am in a “Chinese moment “ 😊 but I will never let my kdramas go. I even got some of them in dvd so nobody can disappear with them!

GREAT list, but no Reply 1988 in top 15?
When it comes to solid writing form beginning to end, I feel these dramas did their very best. (Dramas below are not ranking, they wre just serial indication).
1. My mister - best emotional drama
2. Red sleeve - best historical romance
3. Misaeng - best and most realistic office drama

5. Mother - best mother drama (for me the original japanese version will always be number one, but this is also really great).

41. Moving - best superhero action drama.
47. the guest- best horror drama
48. twenty twenty one - really great youthful story, especially the relationship between two FLs.
58. Salon de nabi - nice story about hairdressers
59 - connection - very interesting drugs and police drama.
60 - one ordinary day - the realistic drama of getting framed of murder and wrongfully accused situation.
61. Jeongnyeong a star is born - the best female drama about stage Play
Add Law School , best youth law drama
I love hospital playlist and dr. Romantic ❤
Vincenzo - best mafia drama
Cringe
Alchemy of souls and flower of evil are some of the best kdramas. Idk why mostly kdrama stories have a minor drop in pace around 11-12th episode and picks up again after 13-14. But in these two, there were zero dull moments, got my absolute attention from start to finish
💯
If you Loved Flower of evil then I'd recommend Mouse
@@emmyzart3662 yeah i’ve heard so much about it! Can’t wait to watch
So true. They are bith captivating from the 1st to the last episode.
If you liked Alchemy of souls you'll also like our blooming youth and Love between fairy and Devil.
I can't watch American cinema anymore. I still enjoy British but these Kdramas are so beautifully made. The acting is superb, the large scenes so physically beautiful... I'm spoilt for life. I would love to see more for the more mature audience. "World of the Married" was superb.
Your brain is cooked.
Cant agree more. Kdramas simply amazing.
So true about American cinema. They are so trite. I also enjoy Spanish series in addition to Korean dramas.
I'm with you! K-drama has the best movies and gorgeous actors/actresses. American movies don't come close to K-drama!
You should try the good bad mother it’s just as good or better.
Mr. Sunshine will do the same for you. So emotional! And the most handsome k actor ever in my opinon.
Mr Queen, Vinzenzo and Atty woo are really fun to watch.
you should try Home town cha cha cha its so good, Itewon Class is great too, Goblin is just as good as Crash
I agree to your comment
Dolfince Tekege.
Reply 1988, I totally agree.
Good values, families & friends.
Or moon lovers
It's boring though😢 maybe I need to watch it again? I'm morr of a Reply 1997 fan.😊
I am sorry but this kind of list can't be complete without vincenzo and goblin
And A Korean odyssey

Goblin was so boring. Got me interested from ep 12
@@nancyl6754 I agree, for a long time I didn't understand why everyone loved him, but I decided to give it a second chance.
Yaaaaaaaas
Descendants of the sun, I'm not a robot, Hotel Del Luna, It's okay to not be okay, welcome to Waikiki
There's a lot of great dramas and it's just a matter of who likes something better more, but it's strange that descendants wasn't on the list, it's one of the most viewed dramas
Descendants of the sun, I'm not a robot, Hotel Del Luna, It's okay to not be okay
Exactly!
Agree and it is interspersed with some fabulous scenes of humour.
I agree descendants of the sun my fave
I love these too!
Mr. Sunshine was a masterpiece and is what got me into Kdramas! ❤️
I'd throw Navillera in there. That one hit me hard as I've watched several close family members go through Dementia.
And, Life starring Cho Seung Woo.
Twinkling watermelon 🍉✨✨✨💜💜💜💜
Finally Flower of Evil getting the recognition it deserves !!👏
I'd add Suspicious Partner to the list 😌✍
Most of the dramas on this list are relatively "recent" -- with the great HEALER seeming like the oldest. While I highly recommend HEALER, SIGNAL, FLOWER OF EVIL and ALCHEMY OF SOULS 1&2 from the list, I would have to include several others, that greatly contributed to Hallyu,
such as my all time favorite: YOU WHO CAME FROM THE STARS,
and also (just off the very top of my head)
W TWO WORLDS, GOBLIN, KILL ME HEAL ME, CITY HUNTER,
SIX FLYING DRAGONS, GAKSITAL,
and many others that make lists like this only an appetizer.
Additional favorites (partial list) that I highly recommend depending on mood:
DEFENDANT FATED TO LOVE YOU I REMEMBER YOU TUNNEL DREAM HIGH QUEEN IN HYUN'S MAN KING 2 HEARTS GOURMET MY GIRLFRIEND IS A GUMIHO CHICAGO TYPEWRITER SPLASH SPLASH LOVE ...
I LOVE that Flower of Evil is on this list, such a BRILLIANT drama...I know not similar but reminded me of Stranger
more like the exact opposite.
@@SM-ce1uy "it's why so many victims male or female have difficulties leaving relationships with a breakdown of trust or abuse..."
Yes, that is true/realistic.
Alchemy of souls was one of the best! A must-see❤
Im glad someone mentioned it!
@Sherryanne Felix I totally agree with you! Flower of Evil is an amazing watch.
So true! Flower of evil truly is pure gem
I can NEVER get over flower of evil the chemistry was insane!
Mr. Queen is boring.
@@snehalg.6059 Maybe it's not for you. Everyone has different tastes. I personally found it hilarious.
I watched "flower of evil" like last year in June and I remember it was so good that I just binge watched all the episodes in like 3 days.
Nothing can match the "Flower of Evil". Highly recommended. I'm still not able to get over this series. This will always be at the top of my kdrama list.
I loved Flower of Evil, but The Smile Has Left Your Eyes is WAY better.
@@MoMoWFH Oh really!! I haven't watched it yet but now I'm definitely gonna watch it. Thanks for the suggestion.
Moon lovers too is unforgettable
@@MoMoWFH watched both, but smile has left your eyes was really slow. I like Flower of Evil better.
@@fiefie2031 Yeah but i heard it has a very sad ending. That's why I didn't dare to watch it.
Crash landing on you,is the most beautiful kdrama i'hve ever seen & its feelings are still with me with amazing rememberance.
Totally recommend👌💖
Definitely! I so love Crash Landing on You!
Agree, If you don't have seen Crash Landing on you, what are you waiting? ❤
Agreed! I cried so hard, but I also had good laughs. Just love it ❤❤❤
I agree. The most beautiful movie I've ever seen in my entire life and I'm 78 yrs old. lol
It was my first Kdrama, itsgreat
Excellent story line, excellent actors. I think JiSun won for best actor that year the drama was up for awards. please watch - you won't regret it
absolutely excellent
Agree! This and she was pretty , these kind of dramas are kind of forgotten nowadays
same🥰
Reply 1988 is a masterpiece.
I'm surprised this is not on the list , it's amazing!😥
Me too. I cried a river on a couple episodes of moved to heaven. However, I was disappointed at the ending of Signal. Currently watching Taxi Driver S1.
Me, too. I re discovered Lee Je Hoon in the “Signal” … loved him in Tomorrow with you”
I'm actually searching for dramas while waiting for taxi driver ep next for next week. I want something to fill the void.
My favourite Lee Je Hoon... ❤️❤️
So true! my mom also got hooked by watching Crash landing on You. She’s now watched well over a hundred KDramas and has loved almost every one
Have you tried Secret Garden?
I even bought it on bluray in case Netflix loses the right to it
Crash landing was too corny and cheesy.
'My Mister' really does make everything else seem like trash ! (at least for me)
for me too... a masterpiece... I also found out Ko woo rim and Forestella through this drama....
My Mister is on a different level to any other tv show I've seen. It's grown up drama in a way other shows can only aspire to be.
Any recommendation because my mister is my fav
@@riaroy4686 My Liberation Notes (think it was the same writer). Little hard to get into, little slower, but real. Something In The Rain divides people. They love it or hate it. Either way, it will provoke you lol.
After my mister i could not see any k drama.. is the best k drama
I love "Romance is a bonus book", "It's okay not to be okay", "W- two world's"
They were so good too!
I agree!
@@bonnieeubanks4074 I now find it very cute that the two leads are married in real life and have a baby! It makes the whole drama even cuter.
true for me! and also much earlier Hyun Bin series "Secret Garden" which is my all time favourite romance/fantasy ever!
I don't know about Vincenzo. I feel it is quite overrated.
@@abhgud not feel its really overrated just cause of their fav male actor ..
Also, Reborn Rich, same actor, and amazing series!
@@kimsanyt Yeah, totally. Couldn't go past ep 2
I find the Glory to be overrated. It's just not my cup of tea atm. Just because one finds it good, doesn't mean that it's also good for the other person. I just stay away from prices to the heaven, until I watched it myself, someday.
Nothing will ever top Goblin, for me. It's my absolute fave!
GOAT of k-dramas for sure.
Watch true beauty , 25/21
One of the best!
One of the most overrated drama ever😂
Not on anyone else’s list but I thoroughly enjoyed “The Kings Affection,” another period drama with the stunning Rowoon and Extraordinary Atty. Woo’s Park Eun-bin as the male and female leads.
YES!!!!! it was amazing!
yes its so underrated!
Loved it!
I love gender Enders but I feel like they didn’t exploit it enough in that drama.
My Favvvvvvv
Extraordinary Attorney Woo helped me realise I am probably autistic... I related a bit too hard to Young Woo... yesterday I spent 5 minutes telling a total stranger everything I know about naked mole rats.... sent a video of Young Woo talking about whales to my sister and her reply was "its eerie" because of how similar my behaviour is...
i would have loved that conversation lol
That's one of my favourites too. What a great film❤
So I have watched over 96 K-dramas. I have to say best 15 is not easy to choose. For me in no particular order after 1st four :)

4. My Love From Another Star
5. It's Okay To Not Be Okay
6. Crash Landing On You.
7. Vincenzo

12. My Country A New Age
13. Uncontrollably Fond
14. I am Not A Robot
15. Mine
15.b) That Winter The Wind Blows
15. c) Love In The Moonlight
15. d) Healer
15. e) Beyond Evil
I've watched many Kdramas too but I just dont remember all of them. I am a binge watcher so I watch many shows at a time and this is why I dont remember them later onwards until someone brings them up.
I like your list very much. They are very good kDrama . There are some of them that I haven´t seen. like 7, 8,13, 15 e.
Finally someone mentioned Empress Ki, I can't believe they didn't include it in the video!
The king enternal monarch should be no 1. I lts my favourite so far. I want to travel to Korea because of that movie
Nothing to do but shower, breakfast and go to work 🤪
What about Descendants of the Sun? The best of them all.
I'm retired nurse am on a farm now having trouble pulling myself away from screen at night or rainy or high wind days not getting stiff done addicted a bit...
ADDICTED ❤❤
I also LOVED Mr Sunshine, written by Kim Sun-sook (who also did Glory), and Our Blues, written by Noh Hee-kyung
YES!!
Mr sunshine not in the list?
I loved both of them very much :)
Our Blues was fantastic, up there with Misaeng for me
Mr.Sunshine…… so very good.
My Mister is definitely underrated. The story is captivating, heart wrenching and heartwarming. The cast is simply amazing. It’s a gem.
It's honestly one of the best shows I've ever seen in my entire life.
totally agree
Glory is too cruel!
Isnt it to melodramatic and stressing?
Absolutely! Its for a grounded mature audience though!
I missed in this list “the kings affection”, it's a nice one, and “it's ok not to be ok”, thanks for the list and for your work 🫶
Love this one. Rewatching it as it has English translation so can sew while watching.
Yes!
They only listed 15. It's not like they're going to mention everything.
@@celest55 No but they overlooked some obvious titles and added ones that don't belong in such a list.
Tomorrow had me crying every single episode, covers so many hard topics. Are You Human Too? Is another great one. Covers so much of what it means to be human, and Seo Kang Joon's acting is AMAZING.
Agree such a good series
Literally I watch tomorrow if I want to cry.
Yes, Tomorrow is just like Move to Heaven. I cried in every story. It made me ugly cry all the time.
For me 'The Devil Judge' is the best drama of all times. It is SO powerful and the plot twists come one right after the other! Its psychological aspect and the traumas it represents are also extremely interesting and give food for thought... I highly recommend it!
I agree! I was going to add in the comments. It is one of the best written dramas; it keeps you engaged from beginning to end; great casting and acting.
ok cool
The list is incomplete without " it's okay not to be okay"...one of the best drama...masterpiece..still cant get over it...
ep 1-3 really good.. just fall flat for the rest of the ep. but still better than a lot of kdrama out there..
If you are talking about netflix, you can change the settings and watch with subtitles too.
Mr.Queen is also good but again ending is not so good or bad...
Reply 1988 is one of my top 3. It was so good. Also loved Hospital Playlist and Startup.
Mr Sunshine?
@@isabellahoyte2609 Yes! Love Lee Byung Hun's acting!
There are so many great Kdramas!
hope you get a chance to watch Descendents of the Sun, and Hwarang, they are great, also i love everything you named.
Hwarang is a master piece
Under the queen's umbrella is underrated, I felt all the emotions can a mother went through to save her children and make them stronger and successful on their way, the queen's character is refreshing brave and wise, the family bond was amazingly portraited unlike other historical dramas that show how far royal members are..highly recommended
Absolutely
Under The Queen’s Umbrella is absolutely amazing.
It has everything : Drama, comedy, angst of forbidden love, murder, redemption, loyalty, betrayal, happiness, a mother’s grief, intrigue and a stellar cast to portray these things.
I found myself on the edge of my seat to see what would happen next.
Under the queen's umbrella is a hidden gem💎

Oh yes, kdrama is deep and the acting is so superb and as an American this is all I watch anymore as it makes all other shows really bad for acting. The stories are deep and the romance is amazing without any nudity or cheapness of the relationship. I can't say enough good things about Korean actors. They are amazing!
yup that's why I love Kdrama
Some are missing here like Reply 1988, Misaeng or Mr Sunshine. These are masterpieces in all aspects. And Hogu's love is also such an underrated gem: Choi Woo-sik in an amazing performance in 2014
Misaeng, yes! I'm so happy I found it weeks ago, I bingewatched all the 20 episodes, everything is so good! And Yim Si-wan is such a great actor. He also plays the male lead in another light romance: Run On, which I loved watching too
@@Eltyanistah such a meaningful drama!!😭Siwan was perfect for the character of Jang Geu-rae!!!! The cast, the script.. so amazing!!!
Misaeng is definitely one of the best dramas, simple and effective
Agree. Mr. Sunshine is what got me into Kdramas and I still can’t stop thinking about it months after watching it!
Alice is what sucked me in.
Have you watched vincenzo? Ive watched Itawon class among others but vincenzo is my favorite, the best I've watched so far
"Healer" and "smile has left your eyes" have my heart...they are two of the most most beautiful dramas i have seen..
I know not everyone likes the historical dramas set in the Joseon period but Mr Sunshine was my first and will always be my favorite Korean drama . Kim Tae-ri and Lee Byung Hun the two leads along with the rest of the cast were spectacular. The story was profound

Reason for my above choices: they may be older…. but most unforgettable.
Watched them, loved them! Agree with Healer, it’s heartwarming 😊
That's literally me. I've watched some great dramas after healer but healer is still my comfort drama. Just love the balance of action and romance. And just rewatching certain scenes make me so happy.
I recommend Kill me heal me
No one mentions: Oh my Venus?
-if it comes to thriller,
beyond evil , the veil are my personal favorite. highly recommended.
-if it comes to cominf-of-age,
21-25 steals everything. No drama can beat it.
-if it comes to supernatural powers,
uncanny counter.
-if it comes to fell good drama,
Itaewoon class.
-if it comes to zombie drama,
all of us are dead, Happiness
-if it comes to action,
I personally like bloodhounds. Short and full of action scenes.
-if it comes to romance,
Buisness proposal, whats wrong with my secretary, i personally like Dr.
You should have made a list of at least 60 dramas, as I see it. 😉
A very good selection of dramas actually, each excellent in its own genre. 😊👍❤
Yikes!
There are so many great ones I would also add to the list: What's wrong with secretary Kim, Goblin, She Was Pretty, Kill me heal me, Her private life, Itaewon class, Doom at your service, Reply 1998, Little women, True beauty, Business Proposal, Secret garden, Snowdrop, Destined with you
Goblin!!!!! Where is Goblin? It’s the best drama ever made.
So glad weak hero class 1 is on the list, truly one of the best kdramas out there, with the best cast ❤❤
Nice to have some that I didn't watch yet. Some on the top of my list:
The Nokdu flower (heartbreaking, historical)
Mr Sunshine (nervwrecking, historical)
My only lovesong (hilarious time travel)
The pop up bar (Time travel, philosophical)
I prefer period pieces and there are so many great ones...
It's nice to see how Jun-ho fell in love with Young-Woo all the way from the beginning of the season.
my mister, goblin,my name, healer, move to heaven are fantastic, but you should all see rain or shine as well...and my liberation notes...the best!!!
Goblin, Hospital playlist, Mr. Sunshine and Vincenzo, Itaewon Class. I guess you need to make a bigger list.
Agree - Hospital Playlist is so underrated.
Yes, Flower of Evil is a masterpiece, along with Mouse and if you have not done so as yet, watch Beyond Evil...these three are not the typical kdrama
Agree re Mouse! It had me hoping, then crying, then happy, then in despair… so many things happen in this plot, it definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat and totally enthralled!
Vagabond with Lee Seungi was great too! A Korean Jason Bourne!
Mouse is an excellent one. Like no spoilers but the plot twist was insane.
