Two Kone Ecodisc Elevators at the Glass House in Vinita, OK

- (5-26-19) This place USED to be the world's largest McDonald's, but they have since renovated it into your typical, boring travel plaza. The new travel plaza has two new and very nice glass Kone elevators. The old one had two really crappy Montgomery hydraulic elevators. This place was much better when it was only a McDonalds!

1:28 That's a nice floor passing chime!
Djay B its his phone
I was joking, man! C'mon!
I KNOW EXACTLY WHERE THIS IS!
My former job had a route to Miami and Grove Oklahoma where I'd pass Vinita every day. I quit because if deiselducy reads this, I think you'd understand what I mean when I say that as a truck driver, I wasn't about to be on the hook for a DOT Violation that they had the intention of me commiting.
I actually stopped by here in 2014 also, on my way to St. Louis, and I can't remember if they'd already modded to Kone, or if they were still Montgomery Hydros, but knowledge of them being Montgomery Hydros does ring a bell, despite it being long enough ago that I can't remember.
My favorite elevator fixtures ever!
I stopped here in 2016. I WISH I would've filmed this. I hope to get back on I-44 in Oklahoma soon.
I give this elevator 2 thumbs up
I rode those elevators a lot while stopping there driving from Dallas to Bloomington Illinois.
I am a local from Vinita, glad you came to do this! :)
Thanks. It is a neat place !

Elevator gets a 1UP!
Frankie L. Lol its his phone
I literally passed this place on the freeway two days before Jason premiered the trip report. Damn I wish I stopped here.
I was just in that elevator in August on my way to Arizona! Pretty cool elevator and place.
1:28 that chime is from mario
1up sound or last coin
I drove by that rest stop quite a few times while I was out in Springfield. I-44 in Oklahoma definitely has its perks!
Nice. It's a lot better than what it looked like previously.
I love the pre-doors! They look epic especially after seeing some other Ecodiscs in America.
I love these elevators..
Great lifts & they are both hits
Used to be Montgomery
What??? How'd he know it used to be the largest McDonalds.
Thats pretty neat seeing how they built the restautant with a big bridge to connect to both sides. Very clever! Especially since they didn't have to make two separate McDonalds restaurants. It turned out to be a convenient travel plaza afterwards after seeing your video. Looked a pretty neat McDonalds in the past!
That’s a cool and unique EcoDisc MX14 motor! It would be better if I you could show the front of it lol.
Now the world's largest McDonald's is in Orlando.
EcoDisc yet good
I love ecodisc
2:53 You're looking for a view or window
The whites LEDS are nice on the buttons
i really want to go to this big gas station! despite the McDonald's, this is a really cool store!
Did you film these elevators when they were Montgomery.
Toshiba buys EcoDiscs from Kone. Therefore, I wish Toshiba could install elevators in America
I hope you can explore more in other countries!
Toshiba has some cool elevators.
I wish this were STILL the world's largest McDonald's! I guess that title now goes to that big one in Orlando that Julien (RUclipsr Floridian Elevators) recorded several times -- both the old and the new one.
The good old ecodisc
Kones are very nice and smooth to ride!
Sarah Edwards i agree.
@@elevcan2312 KONE and Mitsubishi are smooth IMO as I compared with Hyundai. Also Schindler 3300 and 5500 are quite smooth.
That Kind of looks like the elevator at the Oregon Museum Of Science And Industry (OMSI) In Portland with there being a spot where there is not a piece of glass so you can hear the motor But it had Innovation It may have been to loud to hear.
Stopped there with my parents in the old McD days. The elevators were super creepy. Old gray boxes with dim tray lighting that barely worked. I was almost afraid to use them.
Old montys
Monospace elevators/lifts
I was at that Kum & go
Did someone text you at the very first second
I been here before but I never rode the elevator. I came from eastbound side.
What type of fixtures did the old elevators used to have?
Montgomery
@@jonathancreveling5658 I know, I was just wondering what specific type of Montgomery fixtures they had.
@@brandonmiller6629 maybe A-series? Who knows.
That chime is from mario
it was remodled in 2014 it began in june 2013 and ended December 2014
Kone is actually pronounced Con Nay as they’re a Finnish company. You should research Kone. This is defiantly one of America’s better Kones. Kone are epic but the Montys will be missed too.
totally :)
The UK have different buttons
ARE THEY KONE?
James McCrackyn yep
Okay I do have to admit (and I know I'm probably going to get "dissed" on by a bunch of KONE-fans in the comments...) These are "okay" KONE elevators. I mean, I've seen worse before (**ahem... Roosevelt Field on Long Island); but this is probably one of the better installations, and even prettier looking ones in North America. Probably because most of all; they're glass.
Maybe the pre-door on these wasn't worth showing, surprised you didn't show that at least once.
